So, first of all, Meredith totally killed that guy, right? Okay. Glad we're agreed. I mean, I just lost a patient? Yeah, right. Secondly, I have great love for this episode. I sort of regret that I didn't give it an A+, but I don't like to change grades, unless I feel my first grade was way off. Seriously, though -- the funerals (particularly Caroline's, but Elena's too)! What a great idea and both were so well executed. Lastly, that scene with Klaus and Caroline -- I could watch it all day. I felt like I should give you some snark about it, but I just couldn't. How did they do that? I was growing tired of Klaus last week, and then BAM. Here he is, being both terribly creepy (because you just know he has ulterior motives) and yet somehow sincerely sweet at the same time. I mean, I know he wants the town, particularly the Council, to side with him, but while he tried to b.s. Matt that Tyler bit Caroline, on his own, by accident, he was upfront to Caroline that she was collateral damage. He seemed genuinely moved by Caroline. Man, that was just stellar.
I feel like I should say a little something about this episode, in light of the fact that it is named for Thornton Wilder's Our Town, but I already said it in the recaplet, so if you're yearning for more of my blather (c'mon, you're all unconscious by now, right) you can find the recaplet link on page 1 of this weecap.
