Episode Report Card Maggie: C- | Grade It Now! YOU GRADE IT Outages

By Maggie | Season 3 | Episode 13 | Aired on 04.24.2001

As the showing of the Docuventary drones on, so does Sean. They're at the part in which he, Richard, and Meghan are choosing students to pose for the school calendar. Sean emphasizes that Meghan was responsible for picking out the guys, and that she "was too into it." Tracy appears on the screen and Richard and Sean squeal, "Mr. October!" Elena excuses herself and leaves. Sean whispers to Chris, "That was her ex." Chris says that she's going to go find Meghan. Sean offers to pause the movie, but she tells him to keep it running. Avery walks out of the movie and announces that she's leaving. Sean wonders if anyone can sit through the movie without leaving. Since when is it a movie? I thought it was slated to be a Real World rip-off TV series on the Independent Film Channel.

Chris and Meghan are in the bathroom smoking and recounting past good times they've had. Chris confesses that she was afraid that Meghan would laugh at her when she professed her undying love. Meghan says nothing, and Chris moves in to kiss her. They're interrupted by Sean, who sees what's about to happen and says, "Hello!" Meghan pushes past him in the doorway and asks, "Are you spying on me?" Sean asks Chris what's going on, and she leaves without answering.

Felicity and Ben go into her room to talk. She tells him that she knows about his plan to cheat on his exam. He declares that it's no big deal. She asks why, if that's the case, he didn't tell her. He claims that he was too embarrassed to discuss it with her. She wonders why he wasn't too embarrassed to talk to Avery about it. He gets angry and states that he isn't smart like Felicity is, and that he couldn't miss a whole semester of classes and then pass the exam with only two days of studying. He stomps out.

Ben runs into Avery on the street outside the building. He wonders what she's doing out there and she replies, all butter-wouldn't-meltly, "Waiting for you." Oh, come on. Ben, wake up! She's a stalker! He just looks at her goofily.

Inside the girls' apartment, Sean is pacing and giving Meghan the third degree about what happened -- or rather, what almost happened. She tries to defend herself by saying "it was four years ago." He thinks he "just walked in on the sequel." She says he's being ridiculous, but he thinks it's ridiculous that she never told him about it. Sean states that she'd be interested to know if he had ever spent a romantic night with a friend "who just happened to have a penis." Meghan doesn't think she'd want to know, though. Then she says that she knew that he'd overreact if he found out about her and Chris -- which, of course, he has, because he's now calling her "gay." He's inconsolable and babbling, so they do what they always do: break up.
