In Pakistan, a group of mercenaries reach an agreement to escort a group of businessmen as a security detail to a factory where researchers are working on advances in fiber optics systems. Once inside the factory, the head mercenary, John Seidel, pulls his machine gun on the businessmen and shoots them all as well as all of the researchers but one. Dr. Nasir, who has a background in miniaturization of tech like microprocessors (aren't they already micro?) and explosives (!), is kidnapped by the group under the threat that they have already kidnapped her husband. They force her to work in Stockholm developing miniature bombs to implant into cell phones.
Meanwhile, our heroes the Blooms are arguing over Steven's refusal to read instructions before failing to put together an expensive coffee machine for their catering business. They're so cute and homely! Carlton Shaw shows up to mercifully put a stop to the playful bickering, but only to replace it with his trademark hard-ass hemming and hawing (I should trademark that alliteration) when he obviously needs the help of the Blooms with the case of Dr. Nasir's kidnapping. Seidel's right-hand man in this kidnapping operation, Kruger, has escaped to the West Indies. The Undercovers are off to Turks and Caicos to track him down. Sam's able to lure Kruger into a trap in his own hotel suite with the cunning use of sexuality and espionage. Steven breaks into the suite during the gratuitous flirting by the pool between Sam and Kruger to implant a tracking device in Kruger's watch, track down any incriminating documents and be there to pummel him when Sam brings him back. I've spared the fact Bill Hoyt's annoyingness is present during all of this business in Turks and Caicos, but he actually pulls his weight when he and Sam take off to Venezuela to track down Seidel.
When they get there and infiltrate the apartment, they run into John Seidel's brother, who was part of the original security outfit which kidnapped Dr. Nasir. Sam and Bill chase after him on foot and by car, respectively, until Bill is able to smash the guy with his car. They take Brother Seidel to the apartment to interrogate him, and he reveals his brother was murdered by Kruger; he was left for dead, as well, but managed to survive. So now Kruger's the mastermind, and Steven is with him back in Turks and Caicos, oblivious. Kruger is able to give Steven the slip with the cunning use of hired sexuality and espionage. Steven has no interest in the hookers Kruger sends at him at a bar, but they obstruct his view just long enough for Kruger to escape. But he's got that tracking device in his watch, right? Yeah, well... the thing about that is: Steven neglected to pay attention to the instructions and never activated it. Oh, man... the wife is going to kill him.
When Shaw catches wind of these developments and Steven's ineptitude, he brings Leo Nash onto the case to assist, which is like calling Agent Awkward Sexual Tension and Jealousy Inducer to work with your married field agents. (That agent's first name is Max, by the way.) Leo doesn't really help much other than to make things less couple-like with his carefree flirtation and reminders that he used to do the horizontal Monster Mash with Sam. He is able to get Kruger's tracking device back online, however. The group heads to Stockholm and find Dr. Nasir left for dead with a near-fatal gunshot wound. Before losing consciousness, she directs them to the Global Business Summit being held nearby, which is the target for the bomb she built for Kruger. She offers up no further details of how and when. Leo, Steven and Sam head off to the summit, while Bill attends to Dr. Nasir and tries to get snippets of info from her in her ambulance as she slips in and out of consciousness. She finally comes to and adds that the bomb is in a cell phone. Luckily for us, security at the summit is confiscating all cell phones, putting them in plastic baggies and storing them in a million cubbyholes. Sam breaks off to search for the phone while Steven and Leo track down Kruger. Somehow, Sam manages to find the rigged phone by going through the baggies one-by-one, but she has no idea how to defuse the bomb without Dr. Nasir's help. While she anxiously awaits more info from Nasir, Steven spots Kruger and chases him down. They engage in a fistfight in front of the attendees of the summit, and Steven comes out on top. Simultaneously, Sam takes a leap of faith/instinct and just cuts a wire, defusing the bomb successfully and fulfilling a bomb plot cliché.
So what did we learn tonight? The Blooms need a third wheel to keep us from growing disinterested in their abundance of marriage. Conveniently, Leo Nash is appointed to work with them indefinitely by Shaw after this mission's successful results and Steven's demonstration that he could use some help with the latest tech. On the home front, the whole argument over reading instructions is resolved by Steven's blunder and Sam's success during the mission. Steven realizes sometimes he needs to read the instructions and Sam accepts sometimes you should go by instinct. The conversation naturally turns to pillow talk, and we should accept that this show is probably going to end every episode with these two getting it on.

Want more? The full recap starts right below! We begin tonight with a grizzled military guy talking on the phone in the middle of the desert. He's working out a deal for something that will happen the day of the Global Business Summit. Hmm... terrorism, perhaps? It's always so hard to schedule terrorism. Do you do it on a Monday? Do you do it during a big event and steal the thunder away from those event organizers. They work so hard, you know. In any case, it appears we have a terroristic deal.
And we're off, driving across the vast, bumpy desert in two large SUVs. Our Grizzled Guy is the driver of one of the vehicles and there are two businessmen in suits in the back. In the other vehicle, one of the other two businessmen in transit asks the driver to avoid the potholes. "You'll have to leave Pakistan for that," the driver replies slightly annoyed. We're in Pakistan, guys!
We pull up to a large research facility. The army guys get out with their machine guns and let the businessmen into the building with a keycard. They follow behind the businessmen through a long hallway as they talk business, as businessmen tend to do. They have eight researchers working currently on advances in the fiber optics of Pakistan with great results, they say. One of the suits starts talking about a particular researcher named Dr. Nasir who is especially skilled, but he is interrupted by Grizzled Guy who asks if she is currently onsite. All four businessmen turn around to look at the four security guys. It's like they're a stark reflective contrast. Suits vs. Grunts. The suit who was doing all the talking replies to Grizzled Guys' question in the affirmative, but with a look on his face which says, "Why would you care to know? You're just supposed to be holding your machine gun and looking scary for us." Grizzled Guy pulls his machine gun up from the hip and empties his clip into the four suits. The security guy to him freaks out, but Grizzled Guy ignores the freak out to instruct another security man who is just as calm as he is to go secure the perimeter. It's obvious this was planned by everyone except Freak Out Guy. Grizzled Guy says as much when he tells Freak Out Guy he couldn't have handled knowing about this and then leaves him to go into the research room. He immediately opens fire and slaughters everyone in the room except for a female researcher who dives to the ground. GG goes up to her and has to repeat her name twice before she responds. "Dr. Nasir. I have a job for you." She asks why she would do anything for him. Grizzled Guy produces a photograph of Dr. Nasir and her husband who GG says he has already kidnapped. This is the very reason I refuse to get married. My wife would totally get me kidnapped and used as collateral in a terrorist plot. This opening sequence has affirmed my life choice.
Abrupt cut to the hustle and bustle of the Blooms' Catering Kitchen. As can be expected at this point, the two are arguing. This time it's about something Steven didn't do. The rest of the kitchen crew wants to know what the fuss is about. Sam reveals that it's because Steven did not read the instructions before breaking their new coffee machine. This big, awesome, fat chef guy is like, "Oh, that's an expensive machine, Mr. B." Something tells me there's a more interesting show following that guy. Lizzy shows up and warns the couple that "the hotel guy is here" and he's right behind her. Like, right behind her, and as she says this, she turns around to find Carlton Shaw right behind her.
We're now in that perfectly secure room with the glass walls at the Catering Kitchen. Shaw has put Dr. Nasir's file in front of the Undercovers. He explains she has been kidnapped and that her specialty is developing miniaturized computer processors as well as miniaturized explosives. Oh, man... mini bombs. Do you have any idea what you could do with one of those? You could take out an entire Lego city. Shaw presents the file on Grizzled Guy who is named John Seidel, along with his brother Bruce who was the Freaked Out Guy. They're part of a private military cell that was hired as security detail for the businessmen they offed. The man John Seidel trusted to secure the perimeter earlier was a man named Kruger who the CIA has tracked to the West Indies. Shaw admits it pains him in the groin to give this job to someone who can't even operate a coffee machine. Pain in the groin is never something you should take lightly, Shaw. Get that checked out immediately. It's entirely worth avoiding being called "1-Ball Shaw" the rest of your life. Mr. Shaw also reveals he can't stand the Blooms' simultaneous yammering. The two respond with a, "Sorry," simultaneously. Shaw, I think you might be me projected into this show. I feel your pain... except that whole groin thing.
Before the Undercovers can take off on this mission they need to tie up some loose ends. Sam tells Lizzy she'll need to take over a catering job for an engagement party because she and Steven are heading to San Francisco to work for Shaw. That's a solid story, but Lizzy is concerned and claims she knows what's going on with all this secret stuff with Shaw. Sam's eyes go wide, but it turns out Lizzy just thinks the Blooms are taking this job because the business isn't making any money and they might be shutting down. Lizzy has a moment of self-induced panic because she needs this job and doesn't want to go back to drinking again to pass the days. You know, at this point I think I'd already welcome such a train wreck on this show. Sam assures Lizzy everything is fine with the business. Back at home, Steven walks around shirtless while he and Sam pack up for their mission. I may not be gay, but I'm not stupid and/or dead. I'd pay this man top dollar to stand in my living room naked in a statuesque pose. I'd establish a no-touching rule and invite women over to see my Steven statue so they'd get riled up and have to resort to sleeping with me. I know we're only two episodes in, but it's ridiculous this hasn't already been an evil plot on this show. Samantha takes over packing for Steven because his method involves just cramming clothes into a bag without folding, so Steven decides he'll read the mission brief. Sam teases him for actually prepping for his missions, unlike how he tackled the coffee machine. Let it go, woman! The two end up in bed together, each with a mission dossier. They figure Dr. Nasir is in a tough position where she can' be blamed if she complies with a demand to build a bomb. Their only hope is to try to apprehend Kruger at his hotel in the West Indies.
Postcard transition to Turks and Caicos. Steven lies on a chair poolside at a vast and crowded hotel swimming pool. He speaks through his earpiece to Samantha who is on the other side of the pool. Sam finds Kruger and introduces herself as "Jamie Datnow." Hollis Kruger is predictably flustered at the site of this woman in a bikini datnow is standing in front of him and is completely OK with her taking a seat to him. Through her earpiece, Steven reminds Sam, "Remember sweetie, this guy's a killer."
CGI ring title card and commercials.
A subtitle reads "Stockholm" on this establishing shot of an out-of-commission naval ship. Dr. Nasir works diligently on explosives through a microscope. A henchman enters and startles her. She warns against that sort of things when she's, you know... handling explosives that will kill them all, but the guy just wants to know when she'll be finished. Nasir says to tell his boss it will be ready today. For her husband's sake, the henchman hopes she's telling the truth. He and his own henchmen start to walk out when Nasir calls after them that their boss promised she could see her husband when she's finished. The men all remain silent and just walk out on her as she looks down at the photo of her and her husband which Seidel showed her when she was kidnapped.
Back in the not depressing world of Turks and Caicos, Steven and Sam are still where we left them. Sam isn't saying anything to Kruger just yet, but
ity.com/show/undercovers/pilot_95_1.php?page=5">Bill Hoyt shows up undercover as a pool attendant and offers her a towel. Then he insists in a winky-winky sort of way that he'll be poolside if she needs anything. Anything. Sam can only grin back at him with eyes that say, "Get the fuck out of here before you ruin this show." The two just sort of stare at each other for a beat and give each other slight nods of miscommunication until Steven instructs Hoyt to get out of there over his earpiece. With Bill out of the way, Sam engages Kruger in conversation, pretending to guess correctly that he's from Johannesburg. Sam says she's from Cape Town but prefers the beaches here, which aren't as crowded. She adds she likes to be pampered. Kruger gets up the nerve to not ask, but tell Sam he's going to buy her a drink. "Do I have to stop at just one?" Steven is impressed at what he's hearing. "Wow. Who are you? I feel sorry for the men you do this to," he tells his wife before letting her know he's heading to Kruger's hotel room to check it out. He makes a pit stop to talk to Bill who has all the gadgets Mr. Bloom needs wrapped in a towel. Bill does his drooling over Steven bit, but it's thankfully cut short by Steven who reminds Bill that the longer he's there talking to him the longer his wife is going to be seducing another man. "That must be awkward for you," Hoyt empathizes. Steven grabs his gadgets and heads to Kruger's room.
Once inside, he finds a safe which he cracks with one of the tools Bill gave him. Inside the safe, he finds some documents, but they're in Arabic, which Steven can't read. Sam overhears this on her radio and says aloud, "I could," by mistake while still in conversation with Kruger. She covers it up by saying she could go for another drink. "Well you're going to have to look at some pages, sweetie," Steven directs at Sam. "Not a problem," Bill comedically intercepts. Sam invites Kruger back to his room for that drink. Steven now has to hurry to implant a GPS tracker in Kruger's watch before Sam and Kruger get back. We see a close-up of the tracking device as Steven works to insert it into the watch. He marvels at how tiny they are now and Hoyt tries to tell Steven about the new tracker's features, but Steven says he's got this. Kruger and Sam enter and head straight to the bedroom. Kruger starts kissing Sam and then thrusts her onto the bed. When he goes in for another kiss, Sam double karate chops him on both sides of his neck and then kicks him in the gut, sending him staggering back right into Steven who's waiting there to jam a gun in his neck. "Hello, sweet lips." How does he know they're sweet?
Commercials. That School Pride sure looks like a tearjerker.
Bill finishes up tying Kruger's hands together and sits him down in a chair. "Who are you people," Kruger asks. "Your worst nightmare," Bill intones. Sam and Steven take over from that bit of interrogative mastery and tell Kruger they are simply working for his competitors and know about the job he pulled in Pakistan. Kruger plays dumb and says this was all John Seidel's operation. There's a tiny flashback of the beginning of the episode while Kruger explains that tonight he was supposed to deliver the documents Steven found to the address on the envelope, which is in Caracas. Sam goes off to check the address. Kruger claims to just be a pawn in all of this. There just happens to be a chess set right to where they're sitting, so Bill naturally grabs an actual pawn and sticks it in Kruger's face, asking if he means like one of those pawns. Yes, Bill. Thanks, Bill. Sam's address check is complete and it turns out the address is Seidel's. Steven takes Sam and Bill aside for a little sidebar. He figures there's something not quite right with Kruger and he should stick with him while Sam and Bill head to Caracas to check out Seidel. Bill suggests he stay with his man-crush instead, but Sam insists Bill go with her. "Are you going to be OK?" Steven asks Sam. "I guess so, but honestly..." Bill comedically intercepts. "I did it again didn't I?" Yes. You did, Bill. "Try not to kiss anybody else for the rest of the day, please," Steven instructs Sam, and it devolves into the couple bickering over what the plan was supposed to be when they were taking down Kruger. Bill does his one good deed for this episode and puts a stop to the argument to ask what the plan is. Sam repeats that she and Bill are off to Caracas.
Postcard transition to fireworks in the sky over Caracas, Venezuela. Bill and Sam pull up in a car and stake out a second-story apartment across the street with binoculars. Bill has never been to Caracas, but he spouts off some facts he read about it on Wikipedia, but then again you can't always trust Wikipedia. Burt Reynolds and Tom Selleck are not twins, Bill learned the hard way. Sam thought she might've seen some movement in the window of the apartment, so she and Bill decide to go check it out.
Back in Turks and Caicos, Kruger and Steven are waiting for the guy Kruger is supposed to meet for the delivery. Kruger insists he needs to do this alone, but Steven isn't buying it.
While picking the lock to Seidel's apartment, Sam takes the opportunity to ask Bill if he reads the instructions when he gets a new electronic device. Bill, of course, is the stereotypical geek who reads everything, including the electrical hazard warnings. Inside the apartment, it's all empty except for some comic books on the coffee table. Sam finds a recruitment book for the terrorist organization "Black Lodge" in a cabinet. As she leafs through it, Bill opens up a closet and a man bursts out from it, knocking Bill over. Bill's able to fire a few shots at the guy, but he manages to escape. The guy was John Seidel's brother. Sam tells Bill to get their car and she takes off to pursue on foot. The foot chase consists of a couple fence jumps, but it's obvious Brother Seidel is already a little hobbled with a wound he keeps grasping on his side until he's blindsided by Bill's car. Bill gets out and picks the guy off the ground. "You should look both ways before crossing, Bruce." Sam looks incredulous, but not at Bill's line. "Nice job," she says in disbelief.
Back in Bruce Seidel's apartment, Bill has his gun trained on him while Sam asks questions. Bruce claims John is dead and that Kruger killed him while they were transporting Dr. Nasir. He was also attacked and left for dead, but he got picked up by a convoy. He points to his gunshot wound as evidence, and says satellite images will back up his story. "The man you're looking for isn't John Seidel. It's Hollis Kruger," Bruce warns.
We see Kruger is sitting alone at a small lounge when a man comes up to shake his hand. Steven watches intently from afar, but it turns out this isn't the man they're waiting for. So Kruger and Steven resume a staring contest until three attractive women come up to Steven, offering to do whatever he'd like, as per instructions from Kruger. They obstruct Steven's view just long enough for Kruger to disappear. Steven takes off after him on foot, but he's long gone. Sam has perfect timing with her phone call to tell Steven that Kruger's their man. "I got some bad news," Steven musters.

Culinary Kitchen. Seriously, shouldn't these meetings between Shaw and the Blooms be happening elsewhere? Shaw lets off steam about the Blooms letting Kruger escape. He facetiously suggests they find his address to send him some delicious scones. "You tasted my scones?" Sam asks naively. "No, I did not taste your scones!" Snerk. To top things off, the tracking chip Steven implanted into Kruger's watch is not, you know, tracking because Steven neglected to activate it. This is yet again because Steven didn't follow instructions. Womp womp. Shaw's had enough of this pansy-ass bullshit. He will be bolstering their team for the remainder of the operation. Cue Leo Nash's entrance. Shaw explains this works out because of his personal relationship with the Blooms and his expertise in current generation technology. He can probably get the tracker online. To affirm this, Leo offers his fist to Steven for a fist bump. Steven reluctantly gives him an elbow, which is enough for Leo who turns and hugs Sam. "God, you smell good," he tells Sam. That's enough to set off Steven to insist they lay down some ground rules. Leo's just like, "Sure, whatever."
Close-up on a cell phone with its guts exposed. The main henchman who spoke to Nasir earlier about when the bomb would be ready sets a timer on the mini-explosive inside the phone, sets the phone inside a car and hurries off to stand with his two cronies at a safe distance. They wait and Main Henchman says to his cohorts that if this doesn't work Kruger will have them kill Nasir. The timer reaches zero and nothing happens for a beat. Then, KA-BLOOEY! The car explodes and sends the three men flying back in a cartoony CGI-blast. Main Henchman sits up unharmed and laughs.
Back at Culinary Kitchen Secret Room, with Shaw gone, Leo insists he is now in charge, which sparks an argument with Steven. Sam says it doesn't matter who's in charge, they just need to get the tracker working. Just then, Lizzy bursts into the room asking everyone to try her quiche she just made because it's a life or death situation. Such juxtaposition of perspective, that is. Leo dutifully tries the quiche and gives up every compliment he can to Lizzy, including "quiche-tastic." Yup. They make googley eyes at each other for a moment until Steven grabs Leo and insists they go somewhere quiet to get to work. Lizzy turns to Sam to tell her sister Leo's cute. "No," Sam snaps. In fairness, she doesn't lie to her sister when she tells Lizzy that Leo is an alcoholic which wouldn't be a good idea since she's a recovering alcoholic. Way to have faith in your sister's will power, Sam.
Leo and Steven have set up shop in the Blooms' home. Leo runs a quick scan of where Kruger could possibly be in the world 24 hours after leaving Turks and Caicos, which turns out to be just about anywhere. No help there. Meanwhile, Steven is trying to put together that coffee machine and being a sarcastic smartass to Leo. "Wow. Thanks for the expertise. Thrilled they brought you in." Leo's hurt by this because he actually misses Steven, but realizes it's awkward he used to "do sex" with Steven's wife. It wouldn't be awkward if Leo didn't bring it up constantly, Steven reminds him. He also reminds him there's a woman somewhere in the world building an explosive that they need to find. "Can you get the tracker online or not?"
Dr. Nasir is still working. Kruger is now present with her. She has nearly completed two bombs for him, so she looks up from her work to ask if she can see her husband when she's finished. Kruger tells her to finish first and then they'll decide what's for her and her husband. That doesn't sound good.
Cut to the coffee machine exploding and sending coffee beans all over Steven's kitchen. Steven actually reads the manual this time, so he's quite pissed when Leo offers to help. Leo wants to know where all this hostility is from because he can't work with it. Leo: "Is it because I used to do sex with your wife?" Steven: "Stop saying that! And who says that? Do sex? That's just wrong!" Hehe. Steven brings up his realization that at the time Leo was dating Sam, he remembers seeing Leo with another woman in Poland. Leo: "Are you mad at me for cheating on your wife?" Steven: "Do you even hear yourself talk?" Leo: "One of my favorite sounds." Leo clarifies the woman he was with in Poland was a target for a case. "I was totally honest with my girlfriend/your wife." Loving me some Leo. And then he even brings us some intrigue. He asks Steven if Sam knows why he left the CIA. Steven responds with what we now know is his programmed lie -- that he left so he and Sam could lead a normal life together. Leo hints that's not the truth. Steven makes it clear to Leo that it is the truth as far as he's concerned. Just then the laptop beeps and the tracker comes online. It points them to Stockholm. "We've got our man," Leo snaps the laptop shut. That's some good scene.
Commercials.
Stockholm postcard transition. Leo sits in the backseat of the Blooms' car saying it's weird to be with them both on a mission. He's been on missions with the both of them separately, but this is just not the same. It's weeeeeiiiird. They make a brief stop to pick up Bill who enters the backseat with a gnarly fake beard. Leo digs it and is disappointed when Bill peels it off. They pull up to the naval ship where Kruger has been keeping Dr. Nasir. Bill opens up a small metal briefcase lined with four handguns. Everyone grabs one and exits the vehicle, neglecting to answer Bill's questions of whether he is coming with them or not. He ends up staying in the car alone. The three people who are not Bill enter the ship and search around, but it's deserted. Sam hears Nasir calling out from the cargo hold. She's lying on the floor with a near-fatal gunshot wound. She confirms it was Kruger who shot her and that he's gone off to the nearby Global Business Summit. Man, Kruger really needs to learn how to finish off his victims.
At the summ
it, we see security instructing everyone to hand over their cell phones as they walk through metal detectors. The phones are being put into individual plastic zipper bags. Kruger hands over his bomb phone and walks through security.
Steven drives fast with Sam and Leo. Sam calls Bill, who has stayed behind with Dr. Nasir as she's being taken away in an ambulance. Bill has made arrangements so they are all on the list of attendees for the summit. Bill asks if they've got clothes. Sam says they've got what they need. The car comes to a screeching halt in a parking garage and they all get out, go to the trunk of the car and begin stripping. And it's like, "Hello, three sexiest people on TV getting naked." Thank goodness for DVR. They change into some sexy business attire and walk briskly toward the summit. Leo naturally compliments Sam's dress.
Meanwhile, in the ambulance, Nasir wakes up and tells Bill that Kruger has an explosive in his cell phone. He calls Sam just before she hands over her phone to security to inform her about what's going on. She instructs Steven and Leo to find Kruger while she goes in search of the bomb phone. Security for the summit escorts Samantha to where they're holding all the phones. It's a literal wall of phones. We zoom out from behind the perspective of Sam and the security men to see just how many phones there are. Quick, somebody just find out the phone number and call it!

Sam is going through the cell phones one-by-one while on the phone with Bill, hoping to get some more intel. Nasir's unconscious, so no help there. Clever little thing here where Bill keeps calling Samantha "Mrs. Agent Bloom." Some tense moments pass where Sam is checking phones and Stephen and Leo are scanning the crowd at the summit. Finally, Steven spots Kruger who locks eyes with Steven and recognizes him. Mr. Agent Bloom gives chase. Sam finds the bomb just as Dr. Nasir awakes. Bill asks Nasir how to disarm the bomb and all she can muster before passing out again is that there are two red wires -- not what to do with them or whether they are even the wires you should be doing anything to. Sam rushes back to her car to get her bomb defusing kit, which I'm almost positive contains an Open It!
Meanwhile, Steven continues to chase Kruger through the summit. Sam declares she's going to pull a red wire. Bill can't get any input from Nasir, so Sam proceeds and nothing happens. She decides to reconnect the wire, but isn't sure whether to disconnect the other red wire or one of two other wires. Steven comes to a crowded area outside the summit and stops to scan the crowd. Kruger jumps out from behind Steven and punches him a few times, but not enough to knock him out. Kruger pulls a knife, but Steven is able to disarm him. Kruger picks the knife back up and Steven disarms him again. Sam stares at the bomb and suddenly decides she will be cutting the black wire. She's sure it's the right one even though nothing has suggested that's the case. Steven trips up Kruger, slugs him a few times and knocks him unconscious just as Sam cuts the wire. The bomb disarms. Sam is visibly shaken but she announces to Bill that it worked and he proceeds to yell in the unconscious Dr. Nasir's face that it worked. Steven picks Kruger off the ground, having him subdued. Leo shows up to ask Steven, "What can I do?" Steven: "You can get here later. That'd be good."
We are at the Undercovers' and Leo's debriefing with Carlton Shaw. Everything came out great. Dr. Nasir will have a full recovery, they found her husband and Brother Seidel will testify against Kruger. In light of the way things went down, Shaw has seen it fit to assign Agent Nash to work with the Blooms indefinitely on missions where he has expertise. Leo asks Shaw if there are any areas where he lacks expertise. Steven and Sam utter "Humility" and "Modesty" simultaneously and respectively. Leo's excited. He had fun on this mission. As long as you had fun, Leo.
At home, Steven brings Sam cappuccino in bed. He admits to her that he looked at the instructions this time. Sam already knows because Leo told her. Steven's face goes serious at the mention of Leo. He still likes Sam, Steven tells her. Why wouldn't he? She's beautiful, talented and brilliant. Sam reminds Steven it's all just in the past and that seems to be all Steven wanted to hear. Meanwhile, Sam learned you can't do everything by the book and you have to go on instinct sometimes. She sips her cappuccino and puts it down because it'll keep her up all night. Steven figures she'll be up all night anyway, if you catch his drift. Sam asks if she should give him instructions? "I think I'll...uh, use my instinct," he says as he continues kissing her. Barf.
