In the car, Bosco once again notes that Fred doesn't know about Faith's pregnancy. Is that all they ever talk about? Bosco tells Faith that it's her fault she's pregnant because she didn't use sufficient birth control. She says she was using a diaphragm (the birth control kind, not the one you use for your singing voice), but it didn't work. Bosco chooses that moment to yell at the kid at the back seat, threatening to take him into an alley and give him a serious beating. Nice, Bosco. Real nice. Yokas tells him to take it easy, then reveals that Fred was supposed to get a vasectomy after their last child was born. "Ouch!" Bosco exclaims. "Ouch! The big snip?" he asks. Bosco, who never heard of a relationship he couldn't pry the intimate details out of, asks why Yokas didn't go on the Pill. "I was on the Pill for ten years!" she yells crankily. "It makes me cranky!" Bosco goes on and on about trust and faith being the foundation of a good relationship. Faith ("Did you just say my name?") just gives him a look.
In the Yokas bathroom, Faith is approached by Fred (who, DAMMIT!, still looks just like Larry Miller's shady twin brother) who reminds her that the electricity bill is due. Yokas says she hasn't mailed it because she paid the rent instead. Fred sprays his armpits with an aerosol (do they even still make those? I thought they were bad for the environment) and offers to drop off the payment. What a guy, huh? Faith says no, she'll do it.
In the living room, the kids are transfixed on George Clooney giving an interview on TV. Yeah, John Wells, we know you know George Clooney. We're happy for you. I've never known kids to be transfixed by anything on TV unless it was animated or Japanese or both. In the kitchen, Fred asks Faith if she can come to his softball team's pre-game practice. She says she will if she's not too busy. Quite randomly and just as she's pulling a drink out of the fridge, she announces to Fred, "I'm pregnant." He does a little double take. Faith tells him not to tell anyone because she doesn't want others to know. Fred smiles and does the little happy sperm dance because his "mojo" is still working. Somehow the thought of alcoholic and not-so-attractive Fred getting his mojo going doesn't seem as bad as the thought of Bosco getting his on. Faith points out that they can't afford another kid. Fred plays the rationalization game and even offers to get a second job. Faith isn't buying it. Fred kisses her forehead and tells her she worries too much.
I'm not worried about anything because the show's theme song is on over the opening credits. My cat would be dancing if she was here right now: instead, she's staying overnight at the vet where she's getting spayed. Long story.
