A Twig, Snapped

The kids graduate; Sandy thinks about returning to the D.A.'s office; Kaitlin returns to town for good; and Marissa finally dies in a montage of recycled bits from seasons past.

2-19 Recap The Rager
The Rager - It takes half an episode and a giant misunderstanding to get Ryan to forgive Trey, but he does it, and the ensuing party turns into a nightmare: A girl shows up floating in the pool, and Marissa almost gets blamed for the bag of ecstasy the cops find. Except that Trey takes the fall instead. Also, Seth gets in hot water with Summer, and Lance busts Caleb to Julie and offers to make him disappear, and Kirsten sabotages Carter's date.

2-14 Recap Partly Believable With A 100% Chance Of Intermittent Eye-Roll
The Rainy Day Women - In the verité column, this episode comes along during a time of actual endless rain in Southern California. So, Djb is kind of impressed at the "ripped from the headlines" approach. In the bad news column, Kim Delaney LIVES! In an undead way, but you know what we mean.

2-13 Recap The Chastity Report

The Second Chance - During a fight with Ryan, Caleb suffers a minor heart attack. Seth and Summer are working closely together on the comic, and they realize that if they spend too much time together, they will totally start making out, so they decide to try to stay away from each other. Sandy is harboring Rebecca -- who, it turns out, isn't really a murderer, after all, just someone who didn't want to rat out her friends and so instead lived as a hunted woman for twenty-two years -- at his office. Finally, the Lesbians start holding hands.

2-10 Recap The Accomplice
The Accomplice - Sandy's college mentor shows up and asks for Sandy's help in finding his daughter, Rebecca -- who, as it turns out, was Sandy's Big Love prior to Kirsten. Marissa and Alex engage in more flirtatiousness, up to and including pretending Marissa is Alex's girlfriend in order to irritate Alex's ex, and getting Marissa a tattoo. Caleb finally calls Lindsay and asks her to dinner. They're getting along swimmingly until Ryan shows up, and Caleb decides that the whole getting-to-know-you act was a play on Lindsay's part for some of his big bucks. Seth decides to write his own comic book, and it's all very cute.

2-9 Recap The Ex-Factor
The Ex-Factor - Alex's ex is in town, and she's a girl. Ryan decides that Marissa and Lindsay need to be friends, and the next thing you know, Lindsay is going on a Girl's Night Out with Marissa and Summer. Yeah, it doesn't go well, because Lindsay solves the problem of feeling awkward around Marissa by getting hammered, and Ryan loses his shit. Over at the Newport Group, Sandy wants to fund housing for the underprivileged, while Julie Cooper wants to start a magazine, because everyone knows that a MAGAZINE is really safe financial investment.
