The opening credits promise us seven celebrities, six weeks, and one winner who takes home up to $250,000. Which seems like a lot of money to me, but is that a lot of money to a celebrity? I say this pretending I don't know that the people on this show are not really celebrities. I mean, it's not like J.Lo and Ben are trying to catch sheep in this episode. One of the contestants, The Mole, is being paid to sabotage the game. The player who figures out who The Mole is and does the best job of tracking and remembering The Mole's every move will win.
Let's find out who the contestants are. The first is Stephen Baldwin. I slo-moed this opening sequence in case there was a clue, like last season. Don't worry; if there were, I wouldn't reveal it here. I would post it in the Spoiler thread on the forums. Anyway, it cracked me up, because underneath Stephen Baldwin's name was the word "brie," I'm assuming because he's so cheesy. You may know Stephen from his one good movie, The Usual Suspects, or one of his many crappy movies, like The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas . Or his boozy behavior. Or you may just know that he's that Baldwin brother. No, not Alec. No, not the one from Backdraft. That's Billy. No, not the one who was on Homicide (and on crack). That was Daniel. The other one. Yeah, the ugly blond one. You got it.
Next up is Frederique van der Wal, a Victoria's Secret model, who looks like a dude. Corbin Bernsen was in Major League and played Arnie Becker on L.A. Law. Kathy Griffin was on Suddenly Susan, but if you've never seen her do standup or on a talk show, you're really missing out. She is really vulgar and really hilarious, and she's not afraid to talk shit about other celebrities, which I always enjoy. Michael Boatman was on Arli$$ (sorry, dude) and Spin City. Erik von Detten was in The Princess Diaries and Dinotopia. I am clearly too old to have any clue who this dude is, but he kind of looks like a girl. ["When he was little, he was in that episode of ER where the kid got stuck in a pipe and almost drowned until Doug Ross saved him. But I forget if he was the drowned kid, or the drowned kid's brother." -- Wing Chun] I think Erik von Detten and Frederique accidentally changed genders. Kim Coles was on Living Single and In Living Color. She was? Okay, if you say so.
