I hate two things: that I like this theme song. And that the posters on the forums have figured out how to write Greek letters in HTML. That's a little freaky to me.
Previously...MamaStacey showed the girls their new home. (See, I didn't realize there was a pledge house separate from the sister house. How does a crap local sorority in friggin' Buffalo get so much money? Ah yes, I guess the same way Trashelle can afford to live in a casino. MTV pays.) Mackenzie camera-talked that she thinks the girls are going to get cliquey, but that it will be okay. Maggie annoyed the shit out of Brooke by dictating which dresser drawers they'll each use. To be fair, Maggie's t-shirts take up a lot of room. Brooke told us that the girls were not even becoming friends, let alone "one." Brooke rolled over and went to sleep, which is something I imagine she does a lot while someone else is trying to talk to her.
Theme. Song. "Class. Rocks. Tradition. Secrets" some Sergio Myers graffiti says during the credits. There is also a big fridge, which is funny because it is the centerpiece of college for a lot of girls. For the fraternity show, they should show a toilet.
Buffalo. Buffalo. Buffalo. Karissa tells us that she's telling her parents one at a time that she's pledging DZO, because they're very religious. They love them some God. This calls for a very solemn location -- just the right place. Applebee's it is! Mamarissa seems very calm as she reminds Karissa that most "Greekers" are crazy. She too has that voice. Mamarissa looks very uncomfortable -- like she feels that every second she's on MTV, the less God loves her. Which is actually true. Karissa tells us that her parents are worried that she'll become a "drunken slut girl." (In other words: "a college student.") Karissa challenges her mom to find something against sororities in scripture. What about "Thou shalt not humiliate thineself in order to be accepted by a bunch of mean bitches"? Isn't that in there somewhere? They talk about the "appearance of evil" passage, which is very funny, because if Mamarissa had met Janel, she would see how it applies. Karissa says she doesn't do lots of stuff because she thinks it's wrong. (Play softball. Try to lose the accent.) Karissa assures her mom that the girls aren't "crazy people." Mamarissa is shocked to learn Karissa is already living at the house. Mamarissa: you have lost her forever.
Pledge house. Karissa brings her mom to visit. Nicole is the first one she meets. Yeah, again, "the appearance of evil." Karissa shows Mom the list of rules, including "No Drinking." (Obviously, there isn't a "no phone sex with far-away boyfriend" rule -- or Karissa would have to leave.) Karissa tells Mom to tell Dad. Karissa tells us that her dad can make her cry in four seconds. Mamarissa leaves -- no hug or anything. That's one cold-ass God-loving family, man.
