Miranda takes in Steve's Maaaa, who has developed Alzheimer's. Sam and Smith become even closer, and she tells him he's meant more to her than any man she's ever known.

An American Girl In Paris (Part Une) - In spite of Big's sudden return, Carrie goes to Paris. She less-than-loves it. Big is dispatched by the three girlfriends to go over there to Croissantville and bring her back. Sam gives an inspirational speech at a cancer benefit, in spite of having hot flashes due to early menopause. And Char and Harry resolve to be aggressive, B-E aggressive regarding adoption.

Splat! - Alek asks Carrie to come live with him in Paris. She quits her column, and while her friends are tentatively supportive, Miranda bugs out. Carrie walks away from her. Lexi the party girl falls to her death. So, it's the end of an era. Get it?

Big vs. Alek: Alek Wins This Round

The Cold War - Charlotte and her new doggie enter and win a dog show, even though the bitch is in heat. Miranda complains a lot, but finally learns to love living in Brooklyn, thanks to tabloids and DSL. Sam wears a series of odd wigs and counters the tabloid rumor that Smith is gay with a home-made sex video. Carrie deletes Big off her answering machine, because she and Aleksandr are growing closer.

Shaving All My Hair For You

Out Of The Frying Pan - Sam goes through chemo and hair loss. She and Smith shave their heads. Char loses the baby race, but wins the adorable puppy race. Mir contemplates buying a house in Brooklyn, against her "better" (read: Manhattanite/snobbish) judgment. Carrie and Alek get in a fight because he's blunt and she's an idiot.

Catch-38 - Miranda gets claustrophobic during her honeymoon. Brady Hobbes stays with Carrie 'n' Alek (sitting in a tree!) and Charlotte and Harry. Brady sees the latter duo doing it. Sam gets a second opinion with a new, exclusive oncologist.

The One When Samantha Gets Cancer

The Ick Factor - Miranda proposes to Steve, he accepts, and they get married in a small, tasteful ceremony. Carrie is romanced 'til she passes out by Aleksandr. Charlotte and Harry get food poisoning. Sam thinks she wants bigger boobs, and a trip to a plastic surgeon reveals a lump in her breast. It's cancer.

Let There Be Seven Episodes Left

Let There Be Light - Carrie and Aleksandr become LOVAHS. Carrie annoys her girlfriends by repeating the word LOVAH ovah and ovah again. Char mulls volunteering to help the blind. Miranda feels terrible about dumping Robert, and gives him custody of the elevator when Steve moves in with her. And Samantha sneaks off and fucks Richard at a party, where Smith is her date.

One - Carrie goes on a date with Baryshnikov. Miranda finally tells Steve she loves him. Charlotte gets pregnant, but loses the baby, then gets her spirit back. Samantha finds a gray pubic hair and freaks out.

The Domino Effect - Big returns, for heart surgery. Carrie is heartbroken over his weakened state. Charlotte leaps into fertility treatment. Sam has issues when Jerry tries to hold her hand on the sidewalk. Steve walks in on Miranda and Blair making love, and we see Blair's naked ass.
