In Washington, Jason Neville breaks into Julia's new husband's office -- as he's now the president's chief of staff -- and discovers that he's in charge of the reeducation camps, and he's building new ones, including one in Willoughby, Texas. Jason gets caught, of course, and all his parents' sinister blustering can't help him.

In Willoughby, Gene and Charlie spy on the new camp the patriots are building outside of town. When Gene recognizes a friend in the camp, they infiltrate. They're caught, of course, and Ed tells them the camp is a quarantine because there are typhus patients in town and he's trying to prevent an epidemic.

In Mexico, Connor turns Monroe over to Mr. Nuñez, the head of the cartel. They decide to sell the very valuable Sebastian Monroe to the highest bidder. When Miles breaks in to try and free him, Monroe idiotically locks himself back in his cell in a futile attempt to make his son love him, getting Miles locked up while he's at it. After Nuñez forces Connor to beat Monroe half to death for the entertainment of his friends, Rachel comes riding to the rescue. The three amigos -- now plus one surly bastard child -- make their escape and the Monroes plot to rebuild the Republic.

And in Oklahoma, Grace introduces Aaron to the other person who stumbled into her solitary town: his ex-wife, Priscilla. She explains that when the DOD team built the nanotech with Aaron's code, they created something that can think for itself. And it thinks Aaron and Priscilla are its parents. So… uh, yeah. Nanite Kevin might be Jesus? Or something.

Previously on Revolution: Aaron went out on his own to look for his nanite pal Kevin, and answers about Cynthia's death. The family Neville arrived at the White House and conspired murder. And Miles, Rachel, and Monroe went to Mexico in search of Li'l Sebastian, where Monroe discovered that his son is a surly little cartel lugarteniente.

In Oklahoma, Grace is still pointing the shotgun at Aaron, who's pretty damn surprised to see her. She explains that she came here after the Tower, and wants to know why he's interrupted her solitude. He think he was sent there to find her, and Grace is all, "That's just what I need, a useless, whiny white boy." She takes Aaron to her place, explaining along the way that a woman arrived yesterday and promptly passed out from heatstroke. The woman is sacked out on Grace's couch; when Aaron walks closer, he realizes that she's his first wife, Priscilla.

Mexico. Connor and his men escort Monroe, whose hands are cuffed, to see the head of the Nuñez cartel. Mr. Nuñez is living pretty well; behind a high wall, his house looks like the party scenes on Entourage: ladies in bikinis, live music, grilling meat, fruity drinks. Oh, and a dead body, back whipped to shreds, strung up from the balcony. (Uh…the dead guy looks ever so slightly like Guillermo Diaz. This is what happens when Huck stops working for Olivia Pope?) Monroe asks what the dead man did, and Connor replies with a smirk, "He didn't do his job."

Rachel and Miles watch from outside the gates of Nuñez's home as she bitches about having to rescue Monroe. Miles just glares at his feet, like, I know, you've been so reticent about mentioning it lately.

Mr. Nuñez comes downstairs, greeting Connor in Spanish, discussing a little business, and inquiring after his well-being in a distinctly fatherly way. He notices and then greets Monroe in English, and extends his hand, saying it's an honor to meet him. Nuñez says he always knew Connor was special, even back when he took him in and "practically raised him."

Monroe is unimpressed and asks what Nuñez's plans are for him. Nuñez asks Connor his opinion; Li'l Sebastian thinks they should see how much money they can get for the old man. Surely those bounty posters made it south of the border?

Willoughby. U.S. soldiers are setting up a camp outside town, as Charlie and Gene watch with binoculars from a hundred yards or so away. They ponder what it could be -- a prison? Gene sees a man he recognizes, and identifies as Lloyd, down among the troops. He's a friend, Gene says, and they have to rescue him. Charlie rolls her eyes, all, "Exactly how many members of my family have an overt death wish? And why are there no cute boys in U.S. government uniforms?"

White House. Julia orders some servants around, and then Neville comes in with a huge bouquet that he says is from Allenford, addressing her as "ma'am" and congratulating her on her husband's new position. He asks if she's spoken to her husband about adding him to her security detail. Victor comes up behind her, interrupting their conversation, and she brushes off Neville's request. Neville seethes. Julia's husband basically has crosshairs on his forehead at this point.

In the army camp outside the White House, Tom goes into his tent, where Jason hands over the letters he stole from Allenford's room. They're about the reeducation programs; the government has plans to start more camps – including one in Willoughby, Texas. (Also, Scranton, Pennsylvania. Doesn't it seem like Dwight Schrute would be super useful in a post-apocalyptic situation? He and Angela are probably the beet king and queen of the mid-Atlantic, with Mose as their despotic enforcer.) And Julia's husband is in charge of them. Tom asks what Jason wants him to do about it, and I don't suppose acting lessons are too much to ask? If it's possible, JD Pardo is actually getting worse.

Rachel's fiddling with the wagon hitch when a junior cartel member -- armed, and strolling by with some friends -- checks out her ass.

Nuñez's house. Miles has infiltrated the compound and joins the servants, bringing crates of bottles inside. Of course he doesn't speak Spanish, so when someone stops him, all he can do is stammer, "Uh, donde esta…el baño?" The man pursues Miles around a corner, where Miles knocks him bunnies.

Priscilla asks Aaron if he's really there. He's not particularly confident about any aspect of reality at this point. She mutters that her father (her, uh, dead father) told her to come to Spring City. But Aaron doesn't think she's crazy; he's pretty pleased to discover someone else hears the same voices he does…and sees the fireflies. Grace listens from the room.

Monroe's jail cell. Connor comes to visit and hands over a stale hunk of bread. Monroe tries to warn Connor about what a psycho Nuñez is, but the kid will have none of it, since Nuñez saved him from starvation after his aunt and uncle died. Monroe continues that Nuñez will treat Connor the same as poor dead Guillermo Diaz back there just as soon as he screws up, but the kid, with all the stupid invincibility of youth, just grins cockily and brags that he won't screw up. Oh wait, he just did. Miles jumps up behind him to club him bunnies and grabs the keys to Monroe's cell. He lets Monroe out, but Monroe hesitates; he knows if he escapes on Connor's watch, Nuñez will kill Connor. Miles points out that Nuñez would like to kill Monroe, as well, but Monroe, deciding to be noble and self-sacrificing for the first time in his life, stays there with his kid.

Upstairs, the guy Miles knocked out earlier wakes up and starts ringing a huge shit's-going-down bell. Monroe tells Miles to get lost, and then grabs Connor's sidearm before giving it back to his son (butt first) and locking himself back in his cell. Connor is confuddled. Monroe, of course, hasn't given a thought to Miles, who's trying to escape the compound. He's caught and locked in the same cell as Monroe. "You're a dick," Miles growls at his boyfriend.

Willoughby. Gene's still bent on rescuing his friend Lloyd, which Charlie thinks is crazy since there are only two of them. She wants to wait till Miles and the others get back, but Gene just keeps doggedly loading his gun. She tries to reason with him; he threatens to smack some respect into her.

Rachel watches some of Nuñez's good time girls as they gambol through Puesta del Sol. In a bar, she finds the cartel man who checked her out earlier, sidles up to him, and orders a tequila, por favor.

Miles and Monroe bicker lovingly in their cell. Monroe protests that he had to help his son, and Miles snaps that he's been a dad for five minutes and now he thinks he's Cliff Huxtable. "You wouldn't do the same for Charlie?" Monroe asks. Because Miles is Charlie's dad. Monroe rambles idiotically about how throwing himself back in a cell (no one but Connor knows that he was out of in the first place) might get Connor a leg up with his boss. He says he had nothing to give his son, so he gave Connor himself. Miles snarls that he also gave Connor Miles, who wasn't exactly his to give away.

In Julia's room, Tom has told her about how Victor is in charge of the reeducation program. (She, of course, doesn't know how crazy Jason was like, a month ago, so she has no concept of what bad shit Victor's doing.) He wants her to let him into Victor's office so he can find the proof and blackmail Victor into promoting him. Julia protests, because this plot doesn't actually make any sense, and Tom grouches about how Julia's sleeping with Victor, and maybe she's gotten a little too cozy in the life he gives her. Her voice quivers when she says she can't protect Tom if he breaks into Victor's office. Tom doesn't believe her.

Nuñez's house. The band is actually kind of awesome. They're my favorite people this week (mainly because they're playing "Proud Mary.") Rachel has gotten herself escorted inside the compound on the arm of her sicario buddy from earlier. He goes to get a drink and she immediately starts casing the joint.

Nuñez tells Connor how delighted he is to have both Miles and Monroe imprisoned in the basement, and asks how the arresting bit went down. Connor's story of how two of the most ruthless men in North America just fell into his fat little baby hands doesn't really track with El Jefe, who guesses that Monroe tried to escape, so he should be punished. Connor doesn't think it's a good idea to damage the merchandise, but when Nuñez asks why he cares, he blusters that he doesn't. "It won't do to show weakness", Nuñez replies.

Nuñez and Connor go out onto the balcony, and Nuñez holds up the whip coiled in his hand. The crowd screams for blood. Monroe is strung up by his wrists, stripped to the waist. Rachel watches from below. Nuñez tells Connor not to go easy. You know, I already watched 12 Years a Slave this week. I don't need any more of this shit. Connor starts lashing his father.

Monroe's still conscious after a couple dozen lashes. Connor, looking a little fucked in the head by all this, asks Nuñez if he wants to sell Monroe or bury him. Nuñez takes the whip from Connor, then nods to his men, who cut Monroe down and drag him off as he stares, slack-jawed, at his son. Connor turns and makes extra puppy-ish telenovela emotion eyes at Nuñez as the score pounds away.

Aaron tells Grace he explained all he knows to Priscilla, but they still have questions. She guesses they want to know why they're in Oklahoma, of all godforsaken dusty places. Because the nanotech told them to come, she says, and they both stare at her, agog. She continues that she always worried "they" could wake up. "They"?

Grace muses that the human brain is just a cloud of neurons talking to each other, and if you get enough in one place they can become a consciousness. And there are more nanites in the world now than neurons in one brain, or a million brains. So they learned to talk to each other and became a big giant brain. I'm just…fine. Okay. Grace explains that the code the DOD stole from Aaron wasn't just used for the Tower. They also put it in the nanotech. Aaron's all, "Pa-scuse me?" So, since Aaron basically built the thing's brain (and Priscilla helped), it went looking for them.

Priscilla says their friend Peter also helped, and Grace wonders why he wasn't called as well. Maybe he just walks slower. Grace has more surprises: The nanotech is everywhere, and it has a mind of its own, she says. "How's that any different from God?" Because this is the stupidest thing I've ever heard on this stupid fucking show?

Willoughby reeducation camp. Gene picks his way over the rocks and toward the camp. He has brought one handgun with him. He sneaks into a tent, where there's a shrouded body on a cot. He pulls back the sheet and sees Lloyd. And a soldier finds, him obviously, and holds him at gunpoint. Gene protests that he's on the night shift, but the soldier doesn't believe him. Luckily for Gene, Charlie pops up behind the soldier and clubs him bunnies, exasperatedly proclaiming that she knew what he'd do, because it's exactly what her stupid-ass mother would do.

Charlie and Gene try to sneak stealthily through the camp, but since one of them is a 20-year-old supermodel with gallons of artfully styled flowing hair halfway down her back, she stands out a bit. They get caught.

Nuñez's house. Rachel bribes a lady with some diamonds; the woman distracts one of the guards with her nubile assets so Rachel can sneak into the house. Connor catches her and presses the key to the cell into her hand, telling her where to go to find Miles and Monroe. She wants to talk about his feelings and shit, but Connor rushes off. Rachel's sicario escort observes them, unseen.

Aaron's still trying to wrap his head around how he and Priscilla invented Spike Jonze's Scarlett Johansson. (Undiscussed as yet: How this artificial intelligence they accidentally invented can bring people back from the dead, and spontaneously set things on fire.) Priscilla's happy to know she's not crazy, because it made her husband take the kids and leave her. She asks what Aaron's been up to, and he tells her about Cynthia, how brave and decent she was, and how she died because she was his. Neither of them knows where they go from here. Outside: fireflies.

White House. Victor protests vigorously to several soldiers that he doesn't know who could've broken into his office. Julia arrives and asks what's up. He assures her he'll get more security. This seems like a job for Tom Neville!

In their cell, Miles helps Monroe put his shirt on over his bloody, ripped-up back. Rachel comes trotting down and unlocks the cell. The boys want to stay and chat about where she came from and where she got the keys, but Rachel's all, vámonos, ese. On their way out, they knock a guard bunnies and take his weapon, but then Nuñez intercepts them (because Rachel's escort from earlier tipped him off). One of his henchmen has a blade to Connor's throat. Monroe just stands there and gapes like a fish, then puts down his machete. Nuñez knows Connor gave Rachel the key.

Monroe asks Nuñez not to hurt Connor, and El Jefe's like, are you kidding? He fucked up. Fuckups get hurt. Even though Nuñez cares about Connor, he's all the more resolved to punish him, because the betrayal is that much deeper. Nuñez reminds Connor that he can't have people thinking he's weak. Connor brats that only weak people obsess about weakness (probably true, the same way right-wing screamers are just obsessed with gay sex).

Nuñez just tells him adios and leaves, so he misses the part where Connor head butts the guy holding him, Monroe grabs his machete and slashes the closest enforcer, and Miles and Rachel attack the cartel henchmen nearest them. Everybody fights. Monroe's moving pretty well for a guy who was beaten half to death five minutes ago. He's impressed and proud of how Connor fights, and points it out to Miles, who's all, "LIFE AND DEATH HERE, BASS." While Miles, Monroe, and Rachel are slaughtering the sicarios, Connor has a stare down with Nuñez, who just lets him go.

Campsite. While Miles and Rachel sleep, Monroe sidles up to Connor, who's just staring into the dark by himself. He tells Connor it was pretty stupid of him to risk his life for him, but he's grateful. Connor slugs him and snaps that he's lost everything because of Monroe. So he asks if Monroe really thinks he can get his empire back. Good God, sociopaths really does run in this family. "We're gonna get it back," Monroe husks. Oy.

D.C. camp. Julia visits Neville in his tent. She demands to know what he was thinking, breaking into Victor's office. When she says, "Don't give me that poker face," he replies, hilariously, "This poker face is my face," and denies all knowledge of the break-in. She believes him, and they realize at the same time that the burglar was their idiot son.

Julia and Tom find Jason where he's standing guard. He does some pitiful child-of-divorce wailing about how his parents don't pay enough attention to him and brats that he found out the camps are just the beginning. Tom and Julia are more concerned about getting Jason safely away, but before they can do anything, two soldiers arrive to escort him away for questioning. They take Jason's gun.

Willoughby reeducation camp. Ed comes into the tent where the soldiers are holding Charlie and Gene. Gene pleads with Ed to release Charlie, but he just brings the dumb-dumb Porter-Mathesons to another tent, where they see several people on cots, hooked up to IVs. Outside, Gene explains that the people have typhus. As Ed washes his hands, he says Lloyd was the first case. Now there are four more. Gene guesses they've built this camp as quarantine, and Ed says he wants what's best for the town, just like Gene does. (Apparently Shaw couldn't get them any typhus vaccine, huh?) He enlists Gene to his side to help almost as easily as Shaw did.
