The time has finally come for Jack and Amily to become man and stripper, and nothing is going to stand in the way of that day being perfect -- not even Emanda finding out that they've made a deal with the Conrad devil. To undo the potential powergrab by Conrad, Emanda writes out a check for Amily to give him so she can recover full ownership of the Stowaway, but he's not interested. One thing Conrad doesn't know about Amily is she's a stripper with a family, otherwise known as an unstoppable force. You can be an immovable object all you want, but stripper physics are different. Trust me. Amily goes to Casa Emily on a mission to gain leverage while Emanda's gone. She finds the infinity X infinity box and the laptop of surveillance secrets, cracking Emanda's amazing security (the password for the laptop was "infinity"). Ams storms into Conrad's office at Grayson Manor and claims responsibility for being the bane of the family's existence this whole time, showing him video from the laptop, and threatens further action against the Graysons if he doesn't give back the Stowaway. Conrad's hand is forced. All would seem to be well.
Not only is Emanda prepping for standing at what should be her own wedding, she still has no idea where Aiden is after he threw his hissy fit. It's only when Aiden demands that Nolan help him glean some information from the video of Colleen's presumed death that Ems gets a lead on where she can find her brooding boyfriend. He's off still trying to find evidence that his sister is really dead, but Nolan saves him the trouble by finding morgue records that prove just that. Ems and Aiden go take a look at them in person, and it's legit. Aiden lost his sister through no fault of his own, but he still runs off to brood some more. That's just what Aiden does, and I suppose we should just accept it at this point.
Nolan confronts Padma to get to the bottom of why she has betrayed him. Away from the ears the Initiative has planted in Nolcorp, Padma admits that her father was kidnapped a while back and she was contacted by Helen. Her first directive was to get close to Nolan, then to acquire Carrion. But her feelings for Nolan were always real, she insists. Nolan needs some time to think about whether Padma coming clean now is good enough.
The wedding goes down exactly how you would expect it. It's intimate and beautiful down on the beach, complete with Nolan doing the honors of being the minister. It's completely gut-wrenching for Ems. There's bridesmaid's envy and then there's having to watch someone live out your exact fantasy wedding. Jack even demonstrates he remembers the pretend wedding they had when they were children. The only thing that keeps Emanda from going over the edge is Aiden appears off in the distance, signaling that she hasn't lost him as well.
In the Grayson camp, Victoria overhears Daniel speaking on the phone with Helen about some major transactions she wants him to make. The Initiative wants money moved to emerging volatile markets under the guise of investing in their infrastructures. Victoria knows better. This is the same thing they did to frame David Clarke for funding the terrorists that brought down Flight 197. Victoria ignores Helen's prior threat about warning Daniel of anything, and tells him what's going on. This brings on a surprise face-to-face visit from Helen for Victoria while everyone else is out of the house. Helen's her usual condescending and self-assured self, up until she carelessly turns her back to Victoria and lets her pull a gun. Victoria doesn't hesitate to put a bullet in Helen's chest. Helen being murdered couldn't possibly have repercussions.
It would seem that Emanda has lost all inroads to the Initiative now. Prior to Helen being offed, Daniel broke things off with Ems out of fear that the Initiative might come after her if they knew he loved her. So it's sort of a... not a good thing, but... just a thing that Aiden finally returns for good to continue this quest at her side. The first thing they'll probably have to deal with is the fact that Nate is not letting this Stowaway deal die. He suggests to Conrad that he could get rid of the leverage against him in the way that a con man usually "gets rid" of thing. He stows away on The Amanda when Jack and Amily set sail for their honeymoon. Things are about to get ugly.

Want more? The full recap starts right below! The overly saturated lighting of Casa Emily in flashback sets the scene. Little Amanda is in the middle of some major make believe preparations in the living room. She's all dressed up and... oh no. Don't make us watch this little girl plan out her dream wedding to Jack. David enters from outside and is taken aback like any single father would be when his little girl is growing up so fast. Perfect father that he is, David gives his daughter's imaginings complete credence, asking what the pipe cleaners are for (they're wedding rings, silly) and who the lucky guy is. Enter young Jack right on cue. Amanda stares at him with pride. Emanda voice-over: "In its purest form, a union becomes part of our very essence." /FLASHBACK. Emanda sits alone in Casa Emily, staring at her pipe cleaner wedding ring forlornly. VO: "When that bond is broken, our essence is forever changed." Nolan enters, faux cheery about tying up all the wedding loose ends for Jack and Amily. It's obvious to him something's wrong with Ems. She changes the subject to Aiden. There's no lead on his whereabouts. He could very well be trying to take on the Initiative alone after finding out his sister is likely dead. But enough about that boring British guy; Nolan wants Ems to know it's OK to admit that she's at least a little dejected about the wedding. Emanda puts on a strong face and says she really means it when she says she's happy things are finally going Jack's way. Selling half of the Stowaway to Conrad Grayson isn't exactly that, Nolan says. This is news to Ems. Amily walks in just as Nolan is suggesting Emanda ask her about it. He leaves so they can talk about bad real estate deals.
Nate Ryan leads Conrad and Ashley down the boardwalk, calling out his visions of crap they can put out there to make assloads of money. Ash is already looking ahead to getting this done with Conrad's likely gubernatorial candidacy influence. If that doesn't work, Nate's all ready to bust some heads, goon-style. Ashley says he should leave the negotiations to them, which gets the goon juices flowing (ew, sorry). Nate's not about to get out-brained after bringing this deal to them. Conrad assures Nate that they won't minimize him when things get set in motion. "Minimize" means leave you out in the cold, Nate.
Amily takes notice of Ems stuffing her revenge materials back into the secret wall compartment under the staircase at Casa Emily. Ems probably doesn't have all of her wits about her because she's still upset about hearing that Amily struck a deal with Conrad, and is lecturing her. She says Ams should've come to her first because the Graysons always have a hidden agenda. Emanda cuts a check and tells Amily to get it made out to Conrad for the amount owed plus interest. If Jack won't accept it, Ams needs to make him accept it. In other words, start this marriage off right.
At the docks, a freshly shaved Jack surprises Declan and Charlotte, who are watching Carl. They're not just watching him, they're really on top of the whole parenting thing. Charlie knows it's feeding time and Dec knows where the bottles are. It seems to genuinely impress Jack and he says as much as Charlotte goes off to get Carl's bottle, but Dec smells a favor coming behind the compliment. Jack needs them to watch Carl for a few days so he can do something nice for Amily now that he feels some freedom with the Ryan brothers gone. The favor is no big deal. I mean, Dec and Charlie were already watching Carl anyway, it seems. These days, babysitting should be called Netflixing.
A scruffy and disheveled Daniel gets a late start to the day and walks over to the breakfast table where his mother sits alone, sipping her coffee. Dan's giving her the silent treatment, but that doesn't seem to ever fly with Victoria. She asks how long he's going to keep up with the animosity. He responds that he's aware his mother coaxed Emanda into getting back together with him. Dan pays no mind to Victoria's assertion that he should call Ems' motives into question if she'd accept such a proposition -- she came clean at least, and that's more than he can say for his mother.
Nolcorp. Also getting a late start to his morning, Nolan slinks into his office and gets startled by Aiden, who's sitting there waiting for him. He orders Nolan to lock the door behind him, and then brushes off Nolan's questions about where he's been. All Aiden cares about is getting information off of the video of Colleen's death. He wants Nolan to bring up the video on his computer now so they can mine for data associated with the video that cannot be seen. Nolan looks at the metadata and finds that the video was created six years ago. How awful. There was nothing Aiden or Emanda could've done. Aiden wants to know if they can figure out where the video was made. A few keystrokes later and Nolan has zoomed in on an electricity meter in the background. If they can read the serial number they can pinpoint the location, but it will take time, Nolan says. He suggests that Aiden call Emanda in the meantime, but Aiden ain't got time for that. He loses his temper and orders Nolan to get started running the program.
Impatient 3D title card and commercials
Later in the day, Nolan has summoned Ems to his office to fill her in on what he was able to find out for Aiden. They tracked the meter's serial number to an abandoned warehouse in Jersey City. Ems figures Aiden's on his way there to find evidence that his sister is really dead. Nolan still doesn't know what the Initiative wanted with Colleen, so Emanda explains that Aiden's father was a baggage handler at the airport where Flight 197 departed. He was blackmailed into placing the bomb on the plane through Colleen's kidnapping. It dawns on Nolan that the Initiative could be doing the same thing to Padma, but Emanda doesn't really care. She's off to track down Aiden. In the meantime, she wants Nolan cross-checking Jane Does in Jersey City's police records for Colleen's description. The glamorous life of a revenge sidekick.
Grayson Manor. Daniel walks through the parlor on the phone with Helen, having an animated conversation. The Initiative wants Grayson Global to pull money from European markets and invest it in Algiers, Bahrain and Tunisia. They're volatile markets with unregulated banking systems. Dan doesn't like that. What a frontrunner. Take some risks, Daniel! Helen says the Initiative is comfortable with short-term losses and talks Dan into making the deals on the premise that they are investing in emerging governments that need new infrastructures. Victoria overhears this conversation. FLASHBACK: David Clarke intensely claims through a prison phone that he's been set up to look like he funded terrorist groups in Libya and Angola. Victoria tells him she can't believe him in the face of all the evidence. She fights back tears as she tells him she's sorry she can't do anything for him and asks that he not call her again. /FLASHBACK. The harsh memory brings tears to the Queen's eyes.
It's midday at the Stowaway and no one's around except for Amily, who's doing wedding preparations or something. Jack comes in and smooches on her because he has the gift of a romantic getaway to... Nantucket (?!) planned. They'll hop in The Amanda and sail to this spot, hoping that they do not run into that very famous man from limericks of old. Amily takes this opportunity of loving feelings to whip out the check from Emanda, saying it's her own gift back to him. Jack's not onboard at first, but Amily makes the good point that it's better to be in debt to a friend than to an enemy. Then, she reminds him that he almost lost her the last time she got close to the Graysons. Now's their opportunity to get rid of them forever with Emanda's help.
Victoria bursts into Conrad's study where he and Ashley are surprisingly fully clothed and doing what seems like actual work. Seeing his wife is in one of her moods, Conrad asks Ash to give them some privacy. Victoria doesn't hesitate to launch into demands for documentation of transactions Grayson Global made around the time of David Clarke's framing. Conrad asks for an explanation and gets brought up to speed on Daniel's conversation with Helen. Their hand has been forced. They need to present Daniel with hard evidence of what awaits him if he complies with Helen.
Somehow, Emanda has managed to arrive at the abandoned warehouse just behind Aiden. He's searching around for clues with a little flashlight while Ems asks what he hopes to find. Aiden doesn't really want any resistance right now. He's reaching for anything. The electricity meter from the video is there and so is the cot where Colleen presumably died. It's the closest Aiden has been to her since he was 12, he says. Emanda's phone rings with a call from Nolan. Before she answers, she tells Aiden that Nolan has been searching through coroner records from 2007. When she answers, Nolan tells her he has bad news. Ems closes her eyes to brace for what she already knows is coming.

Grayson Manor. A maid informs Conrad and Ashley that Jack is there to see them. He politely walks up to Conrad and hands him the cashier's check for the debt, plus interest. Conrad politely declines it, which Jack doesn't understand. The deal was that he'd regain full ownership of the bar after repayment of the debt. Ash says the deal has changed, prompting Conrad to invite Jack to look over some sketches of the developments he has planned for Montauk. Jack's getting angry. He reminds Conrad he still owns half his bar. This doesn't faze Conrad at all. He puts his arm around Jack and starts walking him out of the house, condescendingly explaining that an assumption clause at the bank will eventually lead to Conrad absorbing Jack's debt and owning the bar outright. Jack erupts, "Let me educate you about a few things. You either accept my very generous offer, or I will fight you every step of the way. I will drag you through court. I will get every quaint blue-collar buddy of mine to block every bulldozer you throw at that water front, and I swear to God... I will make you wish you never heard the word 'Montauk.'" Wow, Jack... wow. Again, Conrad remains unfazed. He says he'll show Jack what a man of means is capable of. You guys, this is shaping up to be kind of a cool showdown.
Down at the police station, Emanda and Aiden wait for the coroner to pull Colleen's file. Ems gets a call from Daniel, and Aiden encourages her to answer it since he's still useful for getting at the Initiative. She puts him on speakerphone so Aiden can listen in. Dan apologizes for being distant since Emanda's confession, and says he appreciated her honesty. So much for being useful.
Back at the bar, Jack is livid telling Declan what happened with Conrad. Dec insists that they fight, but Jack's certain they'll just waste their effort and lose. Amily stops in the doorway from the backroom and starts listening in. Even if they're destined to lose, Jack thinks he can at least give Amily one happy wedding day still. Ams contemplates what needs to be done.
Back at the police station, Aiden and Ems finally get handed over the coroner's file. They open it up and Aiden confirms that it's Colleen. He gives Ems a little passive aggressive, "You were right," and walks off. What's that shit all about, Aiden? She didn't kill your sister. I want Emanda to have a new boyfriend, but you can't just, like, tell her that, you know?
Padma has been summoned to Nolan's office at Nolcorp. She's tense, but cold, knowing that Nolan has been avoiding her. He admits that he has been doing just that because he thinks she's certainly not stupid. Nolan beats around the issue a little bit, revealing he knows that she's after something besides his money. He then suddenly brings up Padma's father, who suspiciously dropped off from her work e-mail correspondence a month ago. Padma's shocked that Nolan's been spying on her. Nolan: "Hey, careful who you're calling black, little kettle." It's time for one last ditch effort. Nolan tells Padma that he's going against his better judgment in giving her this opportunity to tell him one last time what happened to her father because his feelings for her are strong and illogical. Padma cracks. She turns and grabs a post-it note while inflecting her voice to sound like she isn't ready to burst into tears. She says everything's fine for the room as she hands Nolan a note that says, "Not here." Padma meets Nolan's confused gaze with determination.
Amily enters the back door of Casa Emily and calls out for Emanda. She's not around. Seriously, Ems -- get ADT or something. Or maybe lock your door once in a while. Ams heads straight for the secret stairs compartment she saw Emanda close earlier and grabs the surveillance laptop. It's password protected. Surely, Ems has a password like "/JaCk375r02!nf!n!ty" right? Nope. Just "infinity", which Amily easily guesses after noting the infinity X infinity box in the compartment. Just like that, Ams gains access to all of the saved surveillance videos, otherwise known as ALL OF EMANDA'S LEVERAGE/LIFE. Cut to Amily plopping the laptop down on Conrad's desk. She demands that he accept Jack's offer one more time. When he refuses, Ams opens up the laptop and plays a random video. It's the video of Gordon being told by Victoria that she knows David Clarke's deepest secret. Conrad is stunned. Incredulously, he turns to Amily and says, "So, it has been you all this time." Amily: "I haven't even begun to make you and your family suffer for what they've done." She shuts the laptop and orders Conrad to go down to the Stowaway and give back full ownership of the bar to Jack. "And after you've apologized and wished him well, you never, ever utter the name Porter again, or I promise I will take a wrecking ball to every bit of this pathetic excuse for a life you've chosen." These Porters sure know how to get in Conrad's face. Amily takes her laptop and storms out, leaving Conrad in a state of shock. He picks up his phone and dials Nate. He leaves a voicemail, saying the plan has met a snag and they need to meet down at the harbor.

Aiden's quest has led him to a shabby cemetery on an overcast day. Ems tries her best to console him, but there's nothing she can say that will make him feel like he has any reason to continue on, so she tries to be practical. They need to approach this all with a level head, she says. Aiden snaps back that he can't just turn his emotions off like she can. Cue Emanda's emotions. She can't believe Aiden would accuse her of that when the whole reason for this crusade is that she has to live with the pain every day of facing what was taken away from her, and fighting when everything's already been lost. Ems thought they shared that. Aiden starts to walk off, which gets the most pitiful, "Don't go," out of Emanda. She's completely drained emotionally already. Aiden walking out of her life is that thing that happens when you've already been devastated and can't muster any more tears. He turns and leaves.
Conrad finishes signing over the ownership to the Stowaway. He spins a story about the coastal commission threatening to keep him in the courts for years over his plans. Rather than get into more details, he just asks that Jack thank him and he can leave the bar forever. Jack suggests Conrad just leave, which he does, throwing Amily a harsh glance as he walks out.
Padma and Nolan walk down a business district sidewalk together, Padma in mid-story. A month ago her father went missing after going on a business trip. Padma received a phone call from Helen shortly after, saying her father would be safe if she did what was asked of her. The first step was for her to get close to Nolan. , she needed to acquire Carrion, but she doesn't know how the Initiative knew about it or what it does. Nolan says it's a program so dangerous that a lot of people would be "wishing [he] never took 4th grade intro to computers." Come on, Nolan. You learned computers way younger than that. Even I did. Nolan reveals he set up Padma to steal an incomplete program, simultaneously revealing he knew all along. She feels the need here to be adamant that her feelings for Nolan were always real. Nolan needs to think. Before he can walk off, Padma grabs him by the arm to ask if he needs to think about whether he's going to help her or whether he wants to leave her. Both?
Late night at the Grayson Global office. Daniel has a heated phone exchange with whoever is supposed to be executing the deals Helen wants. He hangs up in disgust as his mother enters, telling him he will live (or die) to regret going through with those transactions. She hands over some documents as she details Helen Crowley's role in getting their family involved in bringing down Flight 197. Dan asks why Victoria didn't say something before, which gets the explanation of Helen's threat on Daniel's life. Victoria orders her son to stay the course while she and Conrad prepare evidence they've gathered that can neutralize the Initiative. Naturally, Helen is watching her surveillance feed of this conversation -- even as she receives a phone call from someone else in the Initiative who wants to make sure she's watching. Very good surveillance work those Initiative guys do.

Out on the beach behind Casa Emily is where Jack and Amily have chosen to be wed. While that choice may be cliché, having Nolan as the minister is pretty inspired -- mostly because he's wearing a cream-colored blazer with henna patterns all over it. He must've got that fabric at my mom's garage sale last summer that was heavy on curtains. No matter. Nolan begins the ceremony and pauses briefly to throw a glance to Ems to verify it's OK that he proceed and refer to Amily as "Amanda Clarke." FLASHBACK: That make-believe wedding Amanda was planning as a little girl? It turned into a full-on pretend wedding down on the beach with her dad and young jack in a big, goofy bowtie. /FLASHBACK Emanda is snapped out of her memory by Nolan asking for the rings. She hands over the ring box to Amily, who opens it to find the pipe cleaner ring stuffed in there with the real ring. Ams is confused, but Jack instantly recognizes it. He tells the story of their childhood wedding and how Little Amanda was adamant about him wearing a bowtie. He pulls out his handkerchief from his suit pocket, which is the bowtie. Seriously? The only way this wedding could be any more knife-twisting for Ems at this point would be if Amily actually pulled a knife from her off-white dress and stabbed Emanda directly through her sternum and into her emaciated heart. Jack: "What I remember... is a feeling I didn't have a word for yet. When I was old enough to recognize it as love, you were gone, but that feeling stayed with me. You were always in my heart." Nolan glances over at Ems to make sure she's keeping it together and to her credit she hasn't gritted her teeth down to shards of enamel. Oddly enough, it's Amily's speech about everyone deserving love that sends Ems over the edge. Tears begin rolling down her cheeks and she has to look away. It may or may not be fortuitous that Aiden appears in her line of sight as she's breaking down. She throws a smile his way. Nolan finishes up the ceremony, allowing Jack to kiss the stripper bride. Emanda seems to be somewhat at peace with this now.Nate's in mid-hissy fit out at the harbor with Conrad, who is being very mum about the whole situation. He'll only say that someone holds leverage over him. When Nate asks what would happen if he could "remove" that leverage, Conrad merely says that's purely hypothetical and they never had this conversation. He gets in his car and leaves the goon to think of goon things to do
As Emanda's returning home from the wedding, she notices a missed call from Daniel. She calls him back and catches him brooding over the information his mother has just given him about the danger he and his loved ones may face from the Initiative. He turns through pages of news articles about Flight 197, and then launches into a gentle break-up speech about not wanting to force things too quickly with Ems. She's pretty shocked by this sudden deviation in her plan, more so than being dumped. Daniel has to fight back tears before hanging up on who he believes to be the love of his life.
Ams and Jack hand over baby Carl to Declan and Charlotte as they get ready to set sail for limerickville. And really, this little scene is pretty perfect. Amily radiates with joy at the sound of being called Mrs. Porter for the first time. There's a "Just Married" sign attached to the back of The Amanda as it leaves the dock with the younger couple holding each other to the old-style stroller, snapping photos. The sky casts a wonderful dusk light on the water. It's a very striking scene to see such beauty and joy among all the vengeance and pain. Jack was right. He was able to give Amily one special day, at least.
Victoria sits alone on her sofa at Grayson Manor at night, with a look on her face that suggests she knows what's coming. She hears someone enter and calls out to Conrad, but it's Helen. She tells Victoria that there's no one else in the house but them. Helen takes a seat to Victoria on the sofa, asking if she didn't make it clear enough that there would be repercussions for warning Daniel about the Initiative. If Victoria doesn't hand over the evidence she claims to have, Helen will summon Daniel for a meeting, having replaced his driver with one of her own. Victoria will never see him again. Victoria: "You monster." Helen: "Takes one to know one, hmm?" The choice is now Victoria's. Give up Daniel or give up the evidence. Victoria leads Helen out to the pool house where there's a wall safe behind Daniel's mirror. Helen stops Victoria short of opening it so she can open it herself, for some reason. As she enters the combination, Victoria pulls out a gun. This is the criminal mastermind everyone's been in a perpetual chess match with this whole time? Just... inexplicable how she could let Victoria get the drop on her. Helen tries to talk her way out of getting capped and when that doesn't work, she goes for the jugular. Helen: "Victoria, you wept over a man you betrayed for 20 years. I hardly think you have it in you to kill a person in cold blood." Victoria pumps a single round into Helen's heart.
Cut to Daniel's phone ringing from a blocked ID. Victoria: "Listen to me carefully, Daniel. The two words out of your mouth need to be 'Hello, Helen.' Your life depends on it." Dan does as he's told. Victoria orders her son to pretend Helen has canceled their plans for the evening and rescheduled for breakfast tomorrow. She tells Daniel to come straight home and to not take his car service. She will explain everything when he arrives. This is a serious flashback to junior high for me.

Daniel enters the dark pool house, eager to know what the crazy phone call was all about. His mother informs him that Helen Crowley had just been there and intended to kill him. She says this casually as she goes to pour herself a drink, which happens to lead her son's gaze to Helen's dead body adjacent to the bar. Even in the direst of situations, that Victoria Grayson never eschews on showmanship. Dan flips his shit. The calm voice of a mother who's got this comes out of Victoria, "You're safe now. She's not going to harm you any longer." Daniel's not done flipping his shit.
The Amanda is on the dark, romantic sea. Jack and Ams clink champagne glasses and reminisce about their first kiss out on this boat. Cut to Declan freaking out back at the Stowaway about leaving pacifiers out on the boat. Seriously, get a life, Dec. This isn't how Netflixing is supposed to go. You have some popcorn, you make out a little and then make sure the baby's alive. No fretting allowed. Nevertheless, Declan's going to try to call Jack on the ship-to-shore phone.
Conrad comes out to the pool house to find his wife and son hanging out in the dark and doesn't question it before declaring he met with Amanda Clarke and he has a major problem on his hands. Victoria's like, "Yeah, that's cute." She says, "I'll go first," and turns to face Helen's corpse. Conrad: "What on earth have you done?" The three Graysons stare at Helen's body with no answer.
Out on the cold beach at night, Emanda has taken a seat on a log to a bonfire. Aiden joins her to apologize for running off before. Yeah, whatever. Don't fall for it, Ems; he's going to say all the right things. "I won't allow myself to become another casualty of these people. My sister deserves better. As do you." SEE?! Aiden is dead-set on making the Initiative pay on their own terms. He says Ems was right. She isn't alone in this quest. She never will be. They embrace. Emanda voice-over: "From the moment we're born, we're drawn to form a union with others, an abiding drive to connect, to love, to belong." Cut to Jack and Ams kissing on The Amanda. VO: "In a perfect union, we find the strength we cannot find in ourselves." Cut to Declan trying to reach Jack on the phone, but the wire being cut by someone on the boat. VO: "But the strength of the union cannot be known..." Reveal of Nate stowed away in the boat's cabin. "...until it is tested."
