In the wake of Tyler's murder at the Fire & Ice Ball, the police naturally have Daniel under suspicion of having pulled the trigger because he was, you know, at the scene, covered in the victim's blood and had his fingerprints all over the gun. That's what's called in television "a mountain of evidence." The Graysons lawyer up with a sharp, new guy named Benjamin Brooks. When Daniel is taken into custody, Mr. Brooks starts investigating our favorite Hamptonites for information that could be used against Dan in court.
Meanwhile, pieces of what actually happened that evening start to reveal themselves to all the participants. Jack realizes his brother and Charlotte didn't get a good look at him on the beach, but Dec comes across Jack's hoodie, figuring out his brother is covering up for someone. He declares that Jack has always been the stand-up guy, and this time he's going to watch out for his big brother. While Jack waits to see what that will entail, he sits around the bar, hoping that Amily will turn up with some answers for him about what mess he's gotten himself into. Don't hold your breath, guy.
Emanda becomes aware through the Graysons that someone was tampering with the video surveillance of the party the night of Tyler's murder. Knowing that Nolan was messing with surveillance that night, Ems realizes he must be working for Takeda. She confronts Nolan, and he admits it, but there are more pressing matters. The Graysons are desperate to save Daniel, and will likely find a way to use Jack as a fall guy to clear their son's name -- especially since the scandal has made its way to the Internet. That happened courtesy of Ashley, who leaked photos of a bloodied Daniel. She inadvertently becomes the face of Dan's legal defense when she speaks up to reporters who are staking out his interrogation at the police station. It becomes clear to Ash very quickly that she might be able to parlay this public relations thing into a new career.
An odd alliance forms between Victoria, Conrad and Emanda in support of Daniel when he is denied bail and left incarcerated in maximum security prison until trial. Charlotte would probably a part of that alliance, but she decides she wants to have her cliché teenage girl prescription drug-induced time apart from everyone, including Declan. Poor rich girl.
So, what actually happened on the beach that night? Daniel managed to wrestle the gun away from Tyler. Daniel fired a shot into Tyler when he advanced on him, and Takeda smashed Dan on the back of the head with a rock. Takeda picked up the gun and fired two shots into Tyler to finish him off before snatching the Grayson Global photo and positioning Daniel away from the scene. Takeda watched Amily and Jack discover Tyler's body, but later nebulously alluded to Amily's current whereabouts by telling Emanda that she must choose to save her or Jack. He told Ems this the night of Tyler's murder when she came home to hide the infinity x infinity box. Finding herself one step behind her sensei, Emanda destroys the box in frustration and reevaluates her plan yet again.

Want more? The full recap starts right below! It's still the aftermath of Tyler's murder. The police are now on the scene and walk a line on the beach, combing for evidence. Emanda voice-over: "My father's false imprisonment taught me that in a crisis you quickly find out who your real friends are. Tragedy and scandal it seems have a unique way of clarifying people's priorities." The camera scans the beach and finally rests on Tyler's lifeless body being photographed by forensic specialists.
Cut to Charlotte sitting in an interrogation room beginning a quick-moving montage of all the attendees of the Fire & Ice Ball being questioned. She's in mid-story about hearing a cell phone go off and then seeing someone in a hoodie in the tall grass. Dec is up. He isn't certain it was a hoodie he saw. Really, Dec? What was it -- a prom dress? Ashley says Tyler wasn't a bad person, he was just sick. Nolan: "The guy went all Benihana on my arm and tied me to a chair." Victoria: "That boy was a menace." Conrad has already turned hostile on his interrogators and blames them for letting Tyler loose after he had held them at gunpoint. Now it's Emanda's turn. She says she went home to get Daniel a change of clothes, saw her gun was missing and she had left her window open. Tyler must've climbed in and stolen the gun, she says. Finally, Daniel is grilled. He says he doesn't remember his struggle with Tyler. That would make sense since he has 15 stitches in his head. The investigator starts leading Daniel. He paints a picture of Tyler being a threat to Dan and his family with a history of violence. Then he adds condescendingly, "Look, I can understand. You felt like your life was in danger. You shot him, didn't you?" FLASHBACK: Victoria whispers to Daniel on the beach after Tyler's murder, "Don't say a word." /FLASHBACK. Daniel to the detective: "I don't remember."
Outside of the interrogation room a TV monitor shows Daniel sitting silently at an empty table. The detective comes out to find Victoria, Conrad and Emanda. Ems asks the detective if they're charging Daniel. Not yet. He advises them not to leave for the Labor Day holiday. Victoria wants the police to let Daniel go since he has a bad head injury, but the detective reminds her that he also has blood all over him that's probably Tyler's. The police want to ask more questions of Daniel. Conrad says Dan's lawyer should be present, lest they want to violate his son's rights. Defeated, the detective nods to some officers to bring out Daniel from the interrogation room. Emanda greets him first and gives him a hug. She whispers to him that they should go home. Victoria speaks up to offer her son a ride from the police station. He says he's going home with Ems instead, but he wants to talk with his mother privately first.
Emanda walks over to Nolan, who's been leaning on a nearby wall by himself this whole time. He commends her on thinking on her feet about saying she went home to grab clothes for Daniel, giving her a chance to produce a reason Tyler had her gun. Ems looks over at Daniel having his private discussion with his mother. She's worried Tyler told Dan everything. Meh... he wasn't all that reliable, having been a lunatic and all, Nolan suggests. Ems isn't sure where she stands with Daniel after their fight at the party. Nolan thinks the whereabouts of the infinity x infinity box are more important right now. It's safe and sound, Emanda says. Daniel comes back over to Emanda and they leave together.
On the drive home, Emanda asks if Dan's OK and what he talked to his mother about. He says they had words at the party and he wanted to clear the air. Ems thinks that's a good thing because he'll need as much support as he can get right now. A brief moment of silence passes before Emanda asks what happened on the beach. FLASHBACK: Blurry close-up of the Grayson Global group photo with the names of Emanda's targets written in red. It's held in Daniel's hand as Tyler explains that Emanda has been playing him and everyone. He tells Dan he found it under the floorboards in Ems' house. /FLASHBACK. Daniel, sounding about as hardened as he ever has: "I don't remember."
The Graysons get home a little while after Ashley does, so she's able to report that Daniel is all over the news. Conrad is confused that someone has alerted the media. Ash says a photo of a bloodied Daniel from the party has hit the Internet. Conrad tells Ashley her time would be best served right now trying to get that photo taken down. While you're at it, delete all of the Google too, Ash. She says she'll get with Nolan and see what they can do. Conrad turns his attention to Charlotte, saying she should get some rest since there'll be some hard days ahead. His daughter explains she's only there to pick up clothes before going back to stay with Dec. Conrad insists they do that damn "united front" thing they always think is appropriate when the family screws up, so Charlotte should stay home. She says she'll gladly do that when Conrad moves back in. Point: Charlotte.
Exhausted, Ems and Dan get to Casa Emily. Emanda is greeted immediately by Sammy. Sounding like a robot, Daniel suggests she take the dog for a walk. Ems briefly stops in her tracks in the foreground of the shot, registering the steeliness of Dan's voice. She carefully says she was planning on doing just that after she changes clothes. When she leaves the room, Dan starts scanning the floorboards for a secret compartment.
Jack gets back to a dark Porter bar. He notices blood on his sleeve and starts to take off his hoodie. He's startled to find Dec sitting in the dark, waiting for him in Jack's bedroom. Dec immediately asks where his brother's been, or better yet, why he's not in Haiti. Jack says his boat engine crapped out. The thing about that is Dec saw the boat in the dock an hour ago. So where's Jack been since then? Jack ignores Dec's question and turns it back around to ask what Declan's doing awake. It's been a crazy night Dec says, adding that Tyler was murdered. Jack's voice goes up an octave when he asks, "Tyler?" Dec says Charlotte told cops they saw a guy in a hoodie. Shits! Jack's holding a hoodie! Trying to act as natural as possible, Jack starts asking questions a concerned brother should be asking. Is Dec all right? What happened? There's definitely a tone in Dec's voice that he senses something's off while he talks to Jack. He slowly gets closer to his brother and spots Jack's terrible job of hiding his hoodie on his chair, but doesn't say anything. He just says he didn't get a good look at the hoodied figure's face, and he's going to bed.
Casa Emily. Ems comes back home to find Dan searching through a box he found in the floorboards. It's pretty obvious right away that it's not the infinity x infinity box. It looks more like a tackle box. He asks Emanda what it is. Ems plays dumb, saying it must be there from the owner. Dan, probably feeling a little dumb, tells his fiancé he was foolishly searching for secrets Tyler told him were hidden under Emanda's floorboards. Ems comforts Dan, saying Tyler was crazy and a liar. She brushes off an apology from Daniel because she figures he must be traumatized and injured. It's all cliché girlfriend stuff from here. She loves him and will stay by his side no matter what. They get up to go to bed. Ems take a glance at the fake infinity x infinity box over her shoulder as they walk off together.
Close-call 3D title card and commercials
Grayson Manor. Emanda, Daniel and Victoria meet with the family's new lawyer, Benjamin Brooks. As it stands right now, Daniel hasn't been charged and all tests are pending for DNA and gun residue. Victoria thanks Brooks for taking over their legal needs and tells him he can expect her and Conrad to be a team working in Daniel's best interests. That might be more believable if Conrad were present. When Brooks points this out, Victoria leaves the room to yell at Conrad for not being in on their meeting. Conrad doesn't even register Victoria's anger because he's genuinely tired and trapped in a bad daydream he didn't want clouding his judgment in a meeting. FLASHBACK: Conrad sits with a glass of liquor, watching the live television newscast of the plane crash he caused. Victoria walks in the room to find Conrad guilt-ridden. He breaks down and admits his entire role in laundering the funding for the group that bombed the plane and what it means for them. Ever the dramatic one, Conrad finishes by telling his wife, "Life as we know it, Victoria, is over." /FLASHBACK. Conrad believes they're destined to repeat their history, and he and Victoria are in a mess together again whether they like it or not.
Daytime at Casa Emily. Jack's out on Emanda's deck playing with Sammy. Ems is surprised to see Jack as she arrives home since he's supposed to be in Haiti. He uses his engine trouble lie again on her and then asks if she's OK after everything. She admits she's worried about Daniel. A little too interested, Jack asks if there are any other suspects. Emanda doesn't know. Police haven't really been keeping them in the loop. She asks how Declan's doing after being the one to find Tyler's body. Jack thinks he's just playing cool and probably is pretty spooked. Finally, Jack builds up the nerve and asks Emanda if she's heard anything from Amily. She hasn't, and according to Jack, her phone is disconnected. He thanks Emanda again for watching Sammy and leaves. Ems lets out an exasperated sigh to herself.
Fortress of Solitude. Ems stomps ahead of Nolan, demanding to see surveillance video from Jack's boat since he obviously didn't leave for Haiti that night. Nolan's confused because he's pretty sure he saw Jack set sail. He turns on his laptop and brings up video which shows Jack getting "The Amanda" ready. Then, Amily comes running into frame, and Nolan bites his thumb before apologizing to Emanda. She doesn't understand why Jack would lie to her about his boat having engine trouble and about having not heard from Amily. Nolan figures Jack must be covering for her. Emanda orders Nolan to talk to Jack to find out more about what's going on, and hopefully find out where Amily is.
Porter Bar. Declan walks past the open bathroom door and catches Charlotte popping a pill. He asks what she's doing. Char blames it on the stress of everything she's been through lately. Dec sneaks his hand into Charlotte's purse that's slung on her shoulder as she talks about dealing with her brother being accused of murder and her father being a terrorist. Declan pulls out the bottle of Oxycodone and asks if she was high last night when they were getting touchy feely. Charlotte's had enough with being interrogated this weekend. She snatches the pill bottle and leaves. Dec's like, "What is this -- National Keep Secrets From the Greaser Day?"
Dan sees his candid photo on the website GoquestGo with the headline "Celebrity justice for murdering Hamptons playboy?" Ems walks in and takes a seat beside him. Before she can say anything, Daniel declares they should've gone to Paris. Emanda apologizes for ruining that plan. They're interrupted by a knock on the door from the police saying they have a warrant for Dan's arrest. Emanda gives Dan some words of encouragement, kisses him and gets up to answer the door. The detective enters the house and tells Daniel he's under arrest for the murder of Tyler. He's cuffed and led out of the house in slow-motion while his parents run up the porch of Casa Emily, also in a slow-motion panic. Victoria screams for the police to leave her son alone and tries to intervene. Emanda looks on helplessly.

Mr. Brooks has Daniel, his parents and Emanda alone in an interrogation room at the police station. He says Daniels fingerprints were on the gun, his hands tested positive for gun residue and the blood on his tux jacket was Tyler's. That sounds like first-degree murder charges. The spirit of the entire room drops except for Brooks. Conrad asks his son to now tell them everything about what happened that night on the beach. Daniel says he managed to get the gun away and he fired a shot when Tyler charged at him. After that, he blacked out and doesn't remember anything. Brooks gets an idea. He asks Dan where Tyler struck him on the head. Daniel remembers being hit on the temple, but Daniel has a hematoma on the back of his head, suggesting maybe there was a third person on the beach that night. Brooks wants to know if the family has any enemies. Victoria floats the idea of Amanda Clarke. Brooks is excited to have a lead, and asks where they might find her. Before anyone can answer, flashbulbs start going off from outside the interrogation room. Brooks leads the family out of the room through a sea of media types who are all shouting out questions. They're all ignored until Ashley suddenly pipes up that they have no comment. The reporters all converge on her, so she keeps awkwardly talking, putting a PR spin on it -- Daniel is innocent of the charges and the Graysons are sure justice will be served.
Jack returns to his truck for the first time since he last saw Amily. He finds the bank wire receipt for $5 million Emanda had given Tyler and the photo of Jack as a kid Amily had stolen from the infinity x infinity box. Jack's shocked. In fairness, it is a pretty unflattering childhood photo.
Victoria shows up at Casa Emily bearing a gift. Obviously acting out of survival instinct for her son, she's super nice to Emanda and says she understands how these might be really difficult circumstances to enter into an engagement. She instructs Emanda not to open her gift and asks that Ems stay by Daniel's side through all of this since that will help him out legally. Victoria suddenly asks why Emanda came back to her house the night of the murder. Emanda says she figured they would charge Dan and she wanted him to have a change of clothes when they took his suit as evidence. Victoria leaves, but not before making a remark that Emanda's time in juvenile detention might come in handy.
Fortress of Solitude Pool. Jack finds Nolan napping on a pool chair and wakes him up by admitting to his strange buddy that he has a problem and nowhere else to turn to for advice. He hands over the receipt to Nolan, and asks if it was him who transferred the money. Nolan denies it. Jack thinks then it must've been the Graysons. Trying to head off Jack's steam, Nolan suggests he doesn't want to get wrapped up in a murder investigation, but Jack already thinks he is. He tells Nolan he found the receipt in Amily's jacket and he followed her to the beach that night. Nolan hangs his head and draws the strength to give phony advice to his only friend. He suggests Amily probably took the money and left for Canada. Jack should forget about the money and forget about Amily. Jack insists he can't do that and leaves. Nolan pulls out his phone to call Emanda, but get her voicemail. Nolan: "Call me ASAP... you're gonna want to sit down for this one."
Charlotte finds her mother standing alone on her balcony perch at Grayson Manor. She asks if Victoria thinks Daniel is a murderer. Of course she doesn't. It's weird to Charlotte the way the online tabloids are talking about someone completely different from her brother. Victoria insists that's exactly the case. Oddly, Charlotte suddenly wants to know about David Clarke. She asks if this is what it was like when her mother found out that he was a terrorist. Victoria doesn't answer. Charlotte says she wants to know what he was like. FLASHBACK: Victoria and David sit together on the beach. He notices that Victoria's mind seems distant, but he continues on with excitement about where and when they can leave together. Victoria continues to stall since she can't leave without Daniel. Then she insists nobody can know about them because can't live with the consequences. David asks if she can live without love. /FLASHBACK. Victoria promises her daughter she will tell her everything one day, but not now. For now she needs Charlotte to try to remember anything she can about the night of the murder because it could save Daniel's life.
Casa Emily. Emanda returns Nolan's call and he catches her up to speed about Jack finding the bank wire receipt. They're still at a loss for any info on her whereabouts. Nolan: "You ever notice how whenever you want her to leave, girlfriend keeps popping up like the homicidal stripper version of a whack-a-mole, but whenever you need to find her, she vanishes?" Leave it to Nolan to put it so eloquently. Brooks suddenly appears in Emanda's kitchen, so she hangs up with Nolan. He's there because he'd like to find out any dirt he can about Daniel in preparation of his defense. He's pretty blunt about what he's looking for. Infidelities, addictions, proclivities... Brooks is also looking for info about Amanda Clarke on recommendation from Victoria. Emanda suggests Brooks find Amily himself. As he starts to leave, Emanda stops him to say there's something he should probably know [dramatic pause] about the Graysons.

Brooks has summoned Conrad and Victoria for a meeting in the parlor at Grayson Manor. He starts by asking about Daniel's recent scrapes. When they're not forthcoming, Brooks scolds them for thinking he wouldn't find out they paid off a judge to cover up Daniel's DUI accident last summer. Victoria can't fathom how Brooks found this out. Enter Emanda, who takes ownership of informing the lawyer. Victoria jumps on the opportunity to ask if Ems has been faking her loyalty to Daniel all along. On the contrary, Brooks jumps to Emanda's defense because these facts are exactly the type of thing that can blindside his case for Dan. Brooks drives home the point by saying Daniel is a poster child for the 1%, and people will want to tear him down. Victoria agrees Brooks will have their full candor going forward. That settled, she asks if there's been any new info about Amily. She suggests Brooks go talk to Jack since she was dating him. Emanda looks worried about that, but there's no time for worrying when Brooks reveals the video surveillance at the party had been tampered with and placed on a three-minute loop for most of the evening. FLASHBACK: At the Fire & Ice Ball, Emanda stands between the nodding in the affirmative of Takeda and Nolan. /FLASHBACK. There's a tiny freak-out happening in Emanda's head right now.
Cut to Emanda barging into the Fortress of Solitude, demanding to know how long Nolan has been working for Takeda. She threatens to kick Nolan's ass if he doesn't tell her how he was recruited. Somewhat terrified, Nolan says they met at an investor event this summer and he agreed to look out for Emanda for Takeda. Emanda calms down and blames herself for dragging Nolan so deep into all of this. The real concern right now is that the Graysons want to go after Amily, but in the meantime they're probably looking for a more local fall guy. Nolan understands what Emanda's saying.
Outside of the police station, Ashley holds a mini press conference. It plays out on a television in the Stowaway. She's already greatly improved her media presence and talks tough about the Graysons believing Daniel was set up. The family is offering $100,000 as a reward to anyone with information that leads to an arrest. Declan listens to all of this while he works the counter at the bar, and heads upstairs into Jack's room. He checks out his brother's hamper and finds the bloodied hoodie. He pauses to think.
Emanda comes home to find Charlotte waiting for her on her porch. Charlotte muses that it's probably the best spot on the beach. They sit down on the porch swing their father built, and Charlotte continues her stream of consciousness. She thinks it's crazy to believe she lived door to her sister all along. She wishes she could ask Amanda Clarke about their father, and figures chances are it won't happen now. Ems asks if that's why she's been taking pills. Char gives no answer. Probably sensing a little opportunity to connect with her half-sister, Emanda tells Charlotte she was told by Jack and Amily that her father built the swing they're sitting on. So, he couldn't have been all bad. Emanda awkwardly puts her arm around Charlotte, who naturally rests her head on Ems' shoulder. They sit together quietly, only one of them knowing they're sharing a genuine moment of sisterhood.
Porter Bar. Dec comes downstairs where his brother is chopping lemons by himself and asks if they can talk. Declan take a moment to think how he's going to approach this, and then launches into telling a story of the time he broke a bar sign of their father's when he was nine. Little Declan was so terrified of the trouble he'd gotten himself into that he ran upstairs that day and started packing his things to leave, but Jack took the blame for it and missed out on an important camping trip to protect his little brother. Dec finishes this story and then just sets the bloodied hoodie down on the counter top. Before Jack can explain, Declan cuts him off to say his older brother is the most stand-up guy he's ever known, and he doesn't care who he's protecting this time or why, but he's going to protect Jack now. And I'm going to start bawling my eyes out. That Dec kid... he might be all right.

Porter Bar. Mr. Brooks takes a seat at the bar and orders a single malt (neat) from Jack. He asks where the pretty bartender is. Jack tries to brush off the question by claiming she was seasonal, but then Brooks asks for clarification because he thought the two were dating. Nolan, sitting a few seats down, notices the line of questioning and begins listening closely. Brooks introduces himself as Daniel's lawyer and asks where Jack was Saturday night. Jack explains his Haiti situation and his boat trouble. Brooks suggests Jack should've left when he had the chance and hands over his business card before asking that Jack let him know if he hears anything from Amily. Nolan sidles over to Jack and offers to have his boat fixed by nightfall, but Jack isn't interested. He doesn't want to run away from the problem, and thinks he needs to find Amily before the Graysons do. He just has no idea how he's going to do that yet.
Nightfall at Grayson Manor. Brooks walks through the parlor and is stopped by a question from Ashley. She wonders if he cares to know whether his clients are guilty or not. He doesn't. It would just cloud his judgment. He asks what Ashley thinks about this case. She thinks Daniel shot Tyler and will get away with it. Brooks points out that Ashley continues to work for the Graysons despite that. He suggests she's doing a great job of being in front of the camera as the spokesperson for the family, and if she plays her cards right in this case, she could end up making a big name for herself. That'll be the day.
In her bedroom, Victoria lifts her wine glass up from a newspaper with Daniel's murder case story. Conrad walks in and they begin to reminisce about when they used to be a golden couple in the eyes of the media. Now, their children consist of a murder suspect and an illegitimate, ungrateful teenager. They have a laugh together over how low they've fallen. When that moment passes, Victoria returns to the reality of the situation and admits she's worried. Jail's no place for a guy like Daniel. That's totally true. He could barely keep Tyler off of him.
We're at Daniel's bond hearing. The judge starts to make a speech about justice having no price tag, which could easily have been substituted with "You're doomed, rich boy." She says she has weighed the evidence and the family's access to transportation like private jets, which has led to her decision to deny bail for Daniel. He's to be remanded to maximum security prison on Riker's Island. He's removed from the courtroom as Victoria and Ems look on helplessly.

Ashley fields questions again, growing ever more adept. She says the Graysons respect the justice system and view Daniel being denied bail as just a minor setback. Cut to Jack watching on the TV at the bar. He mutes Ashley, thankfully, and Nolan calls out to him because it's obvious Jack isn't thinking about going anywhere. Jack says he needs to look out for Dec. Nolan doesn't really buy that. At an impasse, Jack asks if Nolan wants a drink. Nolan: "Make it a double. It's going to be a long fall." Nolan stares up at the muted TV while Jack fixes his drink. He pulls out his phone and dials his IT department at Nolcorp to have them find out the origin of the photos of Daniel that were leaked to the media.
Grayson Manor. Ems silently sits at a somber dinner table with Conrad, Victoria and Charlotte. Emanda voice-over: "Adversity creates unexpected alliances. But treaties of this nature seldom form with an equality of power."
Ashley enters the Stowaway to meet with Nolan. He pulls up the photos of Daniel on his iPad. He tells Ashley he sourced them, asking her to guess where the trail ends. Ashley asks who else knows. Nolan replies, "Just us... for now." with a devilish grin. Ems VO continued: "Loyalties forged in apprehension and mistrust are tenuous at best." Conrad looks in on Victoria putting on hand cream in her bedroom. She meets his glance coldly. Ems VO: "Easily broken when held up to the unforgiving light of the truth." Jack stares out at the water from the docks, thinking. Ems VO: "But in the darkness of our most desperate hours, it's often these loyalties that give us the strength to do what must be done." Dan stares out through his prison cell bars.
48 hours earlier. Ems rushes into a dark Casa Emily and heads straight for the compartment in the floorboards. Takeda is there waiting in the darkness. He says she should've heeded his warning. Emanda swings at him and Takeda gets the best of her, pinning her up against a pillar. "Your lack of discipline brought chaos," Takeda scolds in Japanese. She demands to know what happened on the beach. He shows her the Grayson Global group photo and tells her Daniel was going to expose her. FLASHBACK: We're at the beach the night of Tyler's murder. Daniel's being walked down the beach with Tyler having the gun trained on his back. Dan makes a move, slapping away the gun. They struggle on the ground until Dan manages to grab the gun and get the drop on Tyler. Takeda watches this from further up the beach and picks up a large rock. Tyler charges at Daniel, who lets off a round into Tyler's chest. Dan's immediately hit in the back of the head with Takeda's rock and falls forward in the manner we saw at the beginning of the last episode. Takeda picks up the gun in his gloved hand, ignores Tyler's pleas for help and pumps two more rounds into his back before picking up the Grayson Global photograph and dragging Daniel's body up the beach. Takeda voice-over: "But there were others. The girl you call 'Amanda.' She's been taken care of." We see Amily running down to the beach, and Takeda watching her and Jack discover Tyler's body. /FLASHBACK. Takeda: "And then..." Emanda lets out a panicked, "Jack," in a gasp. Takeda continues, "The other boy you have feelings for. You cannot save them both." He drops the Grayson Global photo on the floor and walks out of Emanda's house. Emanda voiceover: "A conflicted heart feeds on doubt and confusion. It'll make you question your path, your tactics, you motives." Ems picks up the infinity x infinity box, lifts it above her head and screams as she smashes it on the floor. VO continued: "And you stare ahead, and darkness is all you see. Only reason and determination can pull you back from the abyss." Emanda is alone in the darkness of Casa Emily again.
