We're spared any courtroom players being the target of the week this time. Emanda's mark is the woman who presided over her when she was institutionalized as a child, and is now Emanda's psychiatrist. This woman wasn't just doing her job. Dr. Michelle Banks went out of her way to keep Little Amanda separated from her father. Luckily, a lot of Emanda's work is already done for her in this bit of revenge. Dr. Banks has been secretly video recording all of her sessions with patients.

Among those patients is Victoria and seemingly every other woman in the Hamptons. How convenient is it for Emanda that Victoria happens to be putting together yet another event -- a mother-daughter charity tea to promote mental health with Dr. Banks as the guest speaker? Part of Michelle's presentation at the event involves a video which Emanda copies over with Dr. Banks' patient videos to appear as though Michelle was planning to market them as a sleazy hidden camera website. It plays out like any Hamptons woman's biggest nightmare -- all their secrets and gossip revealed in front of all their peers. A session in which Victoria admits to regretting having a second child screens in front of Charlotte, prompting her to run away from home and providing an opportunity for Declan to score some brownie points with her.

Michelle disappears after this ruinous debacle, the last time she was seen in public being at the event as Victoria threatened to destroy her. Queen Victoria tries to have Frank get his hands on any remaining videos at Dr. Banks' office, but Nolan beats them to it and posts it all online. The cops become involved and we find out through flashback Victoria employed Michelle to keep Little Amanda from ever seeing her father again in exchange for being set up with her own private practice and rich clientele. Emanda tortures Michelle for a while by having her locked up in a storage container by herself much in the same way the doctor did to Emanda when she was little. She's eventually released with no idea who held her captive.

On the love front, Tyler has grown super bro jealous of Emanda or something and starts sabotaging her plans with Daniel. He snatches Daniel's phone so he doesn't get Emanda's calls and deletes the voicemails she leaves. This leads to Emanda thinking she's been stood up for dinner at her house, which turns into an impromptu romantic dinner with Jack, which turns into an unexpected visit by Daniel. He sees Jack and Emanda having dinner through her window and leaves all spurned and rejected without them noticing. Daniel starts drinking again thanks to a lot of coaxing by Tyler. Oddly enough Daniel decides to drown his sorrows at Jack's bar. Emanda shows up thanks to intel from Nolan who witnesses Daniel getting cozy with some floozies, but she gets there after Tyler and Daniel have left. Instead, Emanda gives off some faint sparks with Jack in front of Nolan who decides after Emanda leaves to give Jack the link to her video where she admits to Dr. Banks her feelings of having met "the one." But you know Emanda... she could be talking about any guy she grew up with before she was ripped away from her life who may or may not now own her childhood dog.

We begin during a rainy night outside Casa Emily. Inside we don't find Emanda, but instead Little Amanda sitting on the couch with her dad who's working away on his laptop. Emanda voice-over: "Most of the memories I have from childhood are happy ones -- warm summer days filled with love and light, and the certainty that the darkest storm would eventually pass." There's a flash of lightning and loud clap of thunder. David, being the perfect father he is, pauses his work just to put his arm around his daughter and kiss her on the head. VO: "And for a while, at least... they always did." Another woman's voice breaks us from flashback: "And then?" Emanda is sitting across from a psychiatrist. She replies in her patented innocent voice, "And then my parents' car went off a cliff and they were both killed." Her psychiatrist's name is Dr. Michelle Banks and she theorizes that Emanda's early brush with impermanence is a reason why she can't bring herself to move forward with relationships. Apparently, Emanda has been going to sessions with Dr. Banks for at least a year now. The session ends with the doctor advising her to take a more active role in her life and stop being a victim. If you only knew, Dr. Banks. The two women stand up and Emanda thanks her psychiatrist with a hug, her face going stoic as she looks over Dr. Banks' shoulder at a small hidden camera positioned between books on the shelf. Its red light is glowing. Emanda leaves and Dr. Banks immediately goes to her laptop at her desk to pull up the video she's secretly recorded of their session. She brings up an audio recording program and begins recording a voice memo to say she has no reason to believe Ms. Thorne will ever move past her trust issues and stop allowing her future to be determined by her past.

Grayson Manor. Conrad is straight up accusing Victoria of hijacking his laptop to ruin Senator Kingsly. She flat out denies it. They bicker back and forth in that TV-couple kind of way as they walk briskly through their house. They stop in the bedroom because Conrad is packing for a destination that is so far unbeknownst to his wife. He tells her he'll be going to San Francisco. Victoria: "Ah. Business or pleasure?" Charlotte comes in and doesn't give Conrad a chance to respond to Victoria's snipe because she's all daddy's girl about him leaving. It's even a step further than just preferring Conrad to Victoria because she gives him an eye roll when she says how much she hates when he leaves her behind -- an indication she really can't stand being left alone with her mother. Not making matters any better, Victoria stops Charlotte on her way out to remind her she should plan on taking part in a dress fitting this morning for a mother-daughter charity tea event. Char tries to get out of it, but Conrad steps up and asks her to do this for him despite how much it sucks. Victoria sarcastically thanks Conrad for the support.

It's literal couples tennis. Emanda and Daniel versus Tyler and Ashley. Emanda is smoking cross court shots against Tyler who's struggling to return. Emanda wins the match and everyone is super impressed except Tyler. He invites everyone out for lunch, but Ashley can't go because she has to plan the charity event. Well, how about hitting up a nightclub? Daniel tells Tyler he's avoiding nightclubs this summer and Emanda chimes in to remind Dan of fake plans they have for dinner tonight anyway so he can save face with his friend. Tyler's face gets a little scrunchy because he's not an idiot, but all should be OK because Ashley can go to the club tonight with him. Right?

Poor Porter Bar. Jack has an envelope of his father's valuables from his safety deposit box, which he proceeds to empty out onto the counter in front of Dec. "Valuables" being simply a formality of a word. The only cash in there is the first dollar the Stowaway Bar ever made back in the 70s. Mrs. Porter's wedding ring is in there, but Jack thinks they should hang on to family heirlooms. Declan's like, "Speaking of heirlooms..." and suggests they try to sell the bar. Jack's not entirely opposed to the idea since it could mean money for Declan to finish school and for him to finally set sail to Haiti. He agrees to see how much they'd make after paying off the loan on the bar. Dec is so excited.

It turns out Victoria is a patient of Dr. Banks, as well. In session, she talks about being worried about her future with Conrad. This recent accusation about the Kingsly thing actually bothered her, but she won't dignify it enough to tell Michelle what Conrad's accusation was. Victoria sits in reflection after making her point and Dr. Banks asks what she's thinking about. "The past," Victoria replies as the first notes of Agnes Obel's "Riverside" begin to play. We cut to Emanda watching this exchange on her laptop and being caught a little off guard by Victoria's dwelling on the past. She pauses the video and brings up another. It's a surveillance video of Little Amanda sitting on a bed in some institution cell beside Dr. Banks. She promises her psychiatrist she'll be good and asks if she can see her dad. Saying she'll be good isn't good enough for Michelle because Amanda could just be pretending. FLASHBACK: We're in the scene depicted in the video now. Dr. Banks explains she can't trust Little Amanda because her father pretended to be good, too. Amanda insists her father really was good. Michelle gets up to leave and Amanda starts begging not to be left in her cell, promising she'll be a good girl. The doctor stops and turns in the doorway to explain again Amanda would just be pretending. "People who aren't who they claim to be, Amanda, are very, very dangerous. You would be wise to remember that." Can't say the girl doesn't take advice. Michelle shuts the door on Amanda. /FLASHBACK. Emanda watches the rest of the video of Little Amanda crying and banging on her cell door, pleading to be let out. The video ends and Emanda turns to open up a magazine with an article about Victoria's upcoming charity tea with a photo of her and Michelle. Emanda circles the doctor. Evil Emanda stare.

Relentless 3-D title card and commercials.

In the Grayson Manor kitchen, Ashley intently watches a promotional video for the mother-daughter charity tea. Emanda is shown into the kitchen by a servant and suggests to Ashley the cheesy heartstring-tugging video should attach nicely to the attendees' purse strings. Victoria walks in and yet again wonders if Emanda's there to help Ashley. She's not. She's actually there to see Daniel, but this gives her an opportunity to reveal to Victoria that she's acquainted with Dr. Banks and give us Victoria's millionth look of surprise upon finding out they have someone in common. Emanda has purchased a ticket for the event "in memory of [her] mother" and plans on attending now that she knows Dr. Banks will be speaking. Victoria's visibly annoyed after his exchange with Emanda, but at least she now has another person she could try to mine for info about the mysterious Emily Thorne.

Emanda walks in on Daniel just out of the shower, and... oops! It's not Daniel; it's Tyler. Ew. She's there to try and solidify plans for dinner, but Tyler's being really protective of Daniel and kind of creepy. Tyler offers to set up the time for them to meet, but Emanda says she'll just call and leaves. Daniel pops out of the shower because he heard Emanda and Tyler lies about her having to cancel their plans and giving no reason. When Daniel goes back into the shower, his phone rings with a call from Emanda that gets side-buttoned by Tyler. He stuffs the phone into his bag. Oh noes, it's bros before hoes!

At an outdoor cafe in the middle of the afternoon, Jack is talking to Nolan about his finances. Like, seriously going over estate taxes and boring things like that. Emanda happens to stroll by. Nolan asks her what she thinks about Jack's idea to sell the bar, sail to Haiti and LEAVE FOREVER. Annoyed by Nolan's lack of subtlety she says it's none of their business; Jack should do what he wants. She gives Jack some encouragement, takes a moment to look into his dreaaaaaamy eyes and leaves. Nolan notices Jack staring after Emanda with his mouth agape and starts singing "Jack and Emily sitting in a tree." You can forgive this because Nolan certainly had no friends as a child and is getting the chance to live out those childhood tropes we take for granted. Jack: "Really?" Nolan, resigned: "Kinda." Priceless.

Somewhere else in town, Charlotte gets a text from Declan that just says, "Smile." He skateboards up in time to catch her smiling and teases her about it. Kraft Foods needs to file for a patent on this guy's method of producing cheese. Charlotte notices that Dec is wearing his mother's wedding ring. He has it with him because he plans to try and sell it. Charlotte's surprised by the idea, so he tries to take it off to show it to her and fumbles it. He drops down to one knee to pick it up and is in this position showing the ring to Charlotte when Victoria happens upon the two teenagers. The last thing an overbearing mother wants to see is a greasy dock rat skater on one knee in front of her daughter with an engagement ring. Dec introduces himself briefly before getting Victoria's hint and skating off. Victoria puts her arm around Charlotte. "The things you'll do to torture me." Charlotte: "It's not always about you, mom."

Nightfall in the Hamptons. Emanda sits at home at a candlelit dinner table, trying to get a hold of Daniel, but she just gets his voicemail. She's officially worried, she says. There's a knock at the door and... it's Jack! He has flowers (!) and Sammy. Let's see: candlelit table, dinner ready, flowers -- Jack and Emily sitting in a tree! Never mind Jack going back to the "Sammy did this" joke well to explain the flowers, this is a dream come true for Emanda. Jack tries to excuse himself when he notices the set table, but Emanda seizes the opportunity and invites him in for wine. Later, they clink glasses and Emanda asks about his future plans. He's decided not to sell the Stowaway. When pressed further by Emanda, Jack says he is just hoping to find a good reason not to leave. They look into each other's eyes and take another sip of their wine. Cue Daniel creeping up to Emanda's window and spotting his lady love with another man. He turns and walks away.

It's mother-daughter tea charity whatever time. It's a beautiful, sunny day at this outdoor event. Victoria finds Michelle and compliments her on the narration she did for her upcoming video presentation. Two ladies walk up to them and get an introduction from Victoria, but it's unnecessary because they're patients of Dr. Banks as well. Victoria excuses herself to pull out her phone and call Charlotte in distress because she expects to have her daughter by her side at, you know, a mother-daughter event. Just as her phone call is about to get really far into "don't disappoint me" territory, Charlotte shows up behind her looking very much the part of the perfect daughter. Victoria melts into a genuine smile and hugs her daughter.

In the audio/video tent, Ashley is freaking out because she can't find the DVD with Michelle's presentation. Ashley wouldn't be onscreen if Emanda wasn't going to show up. She calms Ashley down and suggests looking in the DVD player. Voila! The disc is in there and this seemingly trivial crisis is averted. Emanda turns to leave and spots Nolan in the distance recklessly driving a golf cart, hair blowing in the two mile-per-hour wind. I think I'm ready to love Nolan, guys, but I've been hurt by eccentric millionaire CEOs before. Emanda assures Ashley she'll handle Nolan and make sure he doesn't screw anything up.

She steps in front of Nolan's golf cart and he barely stops in time. Emanda bitches about Nolan giving Jack ideas and involving him in any of this. Nolan shrugs it off because he heard they had a wonderful dinner last night. He ends up in full slime mode: "Nice to know you can let your guard down once in a while." He leans forward against the golf cart steering wheel to perfectly add, "Who knew you could cook?" Oh, Nolan, I don't normally do this on the first date, but take me! Victoria begins introducing the event from the stage. Nolan gets out of his cart to get a better view. "Correct me if I'm wrong, but do I detect the distinct aroma of retribution in the air?" He starts to eagerly walk toward the stage, but Emanda stops him: "Ahp... mothers and daughters only." She leaves him behind.

Daniel's tearing his room apart looking for his phone when Tyler shows up. He had a wild night so he drones on about it then casually asks Daniel if he met up with Emanda. Daniel explains the situation about Jack, which gets a, "What a bitch," out of Tyler. He claims to have seen this coming a mile away and heads over to his bag to pull out a new bottle of tequila. Daniel looks at it like its garlic and he's a vampire, so Tyler gives a speech about Daniel not being an alcoholic. He pours two glasses and Daniel caves.

Conrad shows up at Lydia's expensive San Francisco loft apartment she is renting with his money. He's there to ask if she heard anything about what happened with Kingsly. He admits it's hard for him not to be suspicious of her after she demanded money from him. He also explains Victoria's current warpath. Conrad tells Lydia he can't blame her for showing her claws in response to Victoria's ousting her from the Hamptons -- only he says it in the sexiest way Conrad can, which is not even as sexy as the first part of this sentence. It seems to work on Lydia, but she's easy.

Back at mother-daughter tea, Dr. Banks is now at the podium. She thanks Victoria for her generous contributions over the years and introduces her video presentation. It's the typical reassuring type of charity promotion until it's suddenly interrupted by an infomercial for a website called hamptonsexposed.com in the type of style you would see for a Girls Gone Wild video. One of Dr. Banks' recorded private sessions plays out in front of everyone -- a mother admitting she drove her kids to summer camp drunk and on pain killers. The video moves on to another patient -- a woman who wonders aloud how she can admit to her husband she slept with his sister. Um... by yelling, "Happy birthday!" afterwards? The women all gasp, Nolan laughs with glee behind everyone (while holding a gift basket) and the offending woman gets up from her table to leave, covering her face in shame. Queen Victoria, always in control, has the wherewithal to stand up and order Ashley to stop the video. The patient is Emanda, naturally included to dispel the possibility she did this. Her admission in the video is pretty lame -- just a fear of intimacy. She still hides her face at her table in embarrassment to play the part. Ashley scrambles in the A/V tent as Victoria's face flashes on the screen. In this recorded session, Dr. Banks asks Victoria about her relationship with her daughter. "[It's] tense. Distant. The truth is I've never really felt close to Charlotte. Sometimes I wonder if having a second child was a mistake." Charlotte slowly stands up with a deer in headlights look on her face. Ashley desperately unplugs cords from the back of the DVD player, but it's too late. The damage has been done. Charlotte is utterly crushed. Victoria tries to intercept her, but Charlotte is done. She says she's through playing dress up for her mom and it's now two of them who wish she'd never been born. She runs off. Victoria immediately turns to Michelle with flames and smoke streaming from her nostrils. The doctor stammers and is in full backpedal about her recording of private sessions. Victoria: "I am going to destroy you. I am going to ruin you." Michelle runs off in tears. Victoria turns and gives the crowd a look -- A LOOK -- and stomps off. Emanda holds back her smile. I hold back tears. That was so beautiful.

Grayson Manor. Victoria's still stomping around. She's on the phone leaving a threatening voicemail for Michelle, demanding that all videos of Victoria's sessions be gathered and brought to her. Frank snatches the phone out of Victoria's hand from off frame and walks into the shot (best entrance ever). He wisely advises Victoria it's not in her best interest to leave threats by voicemail. That doesn't make any sense to Victoria. She argues that Michelle knows way too much. Frank thinks for a moment and then says, "OK, Victoria. Don't go anywhere. Don't speak to anyone. I'll be back in an hour." Holy shit. I want a Frank! FLASHBACK: Victoria sits in a young Dr. Michelle Banks' hospital office and recommends Little Amanda be institutionalized after the arrest of her father. Dr. Banks has a glimmer of idealism in her eyes and says she'll make that determination. Victoria gets up to leave and stops. She turns to offer Michelle a private practice with rich clients if Amanda is institutionalized and separated from her father forever. /FLASHBACK.

Jack comes back to Poor Porter Bar to find Dec checking out a guy's motorcycle and talking about its price. Jack apologizes to the guy and grabs Dec to take him inside. First of all, Dec's not 18 and can't drive a motorcycle legally. Second, he tells Dec his decision to not sell the bar yet. Dec can't believe Jack didn't include him in making the decision and storms off. No time for that, though, because Jack's day is about to get a lot more annoying. Daniel and Tyler walk into the bar already tipsy. Dan walks up to Jack and asks if he's Emanda's friend. Jack's a little confused and asks if Daniel's looking for Emanda. Daniel smiles and responds, "Just looking for a good time, Jack." Tyler grabs him and they head to the bar counter.

Emanda comes home to find Nolan waiting for her on the front porch. He slow claps. This isn't sarcastic slow clap. This is genuine admiration slow clap. He breaks down the genius of Emanda's hamptonsexposed.com and she's like, "Yeah, whatever. Thanks." Nolan mirrored the website and posted some clones of the content to "make sure it never dies." That's the geek equivalent of never washing the hand your crush once touched. Emanda asks Nolan to leave because Victoria is always watching. Before he goes, he mentions he researched Dr. Banks and found out she was a child psychologist. "Coincidence?" he asks. Emanda assures him there is nothing random. Nolan tries to leave Emanda with an attempt at consolation by reminding her Dr. Banks will probably never practice again. Emanda: "Count on it." She closes her front door on Nolan.

Night at Grayson Manor. Victoria's begging Charlotte to come home in a voicemail. There's a knock at the door. It's two police detectives. Victoria's face drops like any mother's would when she's greeted by the police when their child is missing. They're actually here to see Victoria about Michelle. They need to ask Victoria a few questions. Wait... crap! Charlotte being dead would've been so much better for Victoria.

Commercials

One of the detectives is laying it all out for Victoria. Witnesses say she publicly threatened Michelle hours before a 911 call came from her office. Dr. Banks' office has been ransacked and she's missing. Victoria clarifies she threatened no bodily harm to Michelle and claims she doesn't look the part of a kidnapper. Frank walks in and Victoria asks him to reason with the police. Frank asks the detective for a word. He tells the detective he can vouch for Victoria because they were together all afternoon, if he catches Frank's meaning. Frank, you dog. He hands over his card and mentions he used to be in the FBI. The detective seems appeased enough and orders Victoria just to stay put before he and his partner leave. Victoria asks Frank what's going on. He says he got to Michelle's office but it was swarming with cops. He still managed to find out her computer and hard drives are all missing. He tells Victoria to get on the phone with her assistant to find out who had access to the video so they can try to beat the police to whoever has taken Michelle. Frank then advises Victoria to call Conrad. As expected, he's in bed with Lydia. He ignores Victoria's call.

Dan and Tyler are totally drunk at Poor Porter Bar, playing pool with two hoes. Nolan's now there with Jack just watching the buffoonery. It's hard for Nolan not to notice that in addition to getting trashed, they're also about to get trashy women. Tyler calls out for another round of drinks on Daniel's tab.

Emanda's at home painting as Agnes Obel's "Riverside" plays again. (Seriously, you guys, go buy that album or Spotify it or whatever.) FLASHBACK: Michelle reprimands Amanda for drawing another crayon picture of her and her father even though she's been asked to draw a new picture. Amanda says she'll draw anything Michelle wants if she's allowed to see her dad. Dr. Banks reminds Little Amanda she can't do that and asks Amanda to fill in the reason why -- because he was a murderer. "That's a lie," Amanda corrects. Michelle's starting to get frustrated. She tells Little Amanda that if she continues to challenge her about there being a conspiracy, Amanda could end up spending her whole childhood locked up. That doesn't mean anything to Amanda. She just wants to see her dad. Michelle sees this little girl isn't budging and storms off. Amanda screams and throws her drawing and crayons off the table. /FLACKBACK. Emanda's phone chimes. It's a video message from Nolan (Who sends video messages? Nolan.) showing her what Daniel's doing. Nolan's narration is priceless as he pans his phone's camera to show Dan necking with a floozy a few feet away from Jack. "Just thought you'd be amused to know that your fake boyfriend is busy making a drunken ass of himself at your other boyfriend's bar." Jack, in the video, cuts Dan and Tyler off and they protest. Nolan continued: "Come on down. Testosterone's on the house." Nolan, you are my reason for living.

Victoria and Frank have summoned Ashley to Grayson Manor to interrogate her about the video. She admits the DVD had gone missing. She mentions Emanda was the one who found it. Nothing odd about that. Frank wants to know why this Emily person wasn't included on the list of people who interacted with the video. Ashley thinks nobody could possibly believe she was the culprit because she was a victim, too. Yes! Thank you, misdirection. Just then, Daniel and Tyler barge in drunk. Victoria's stunned and asks what happened. Dan is too wasted for questions. He exits like a rock star. Victoria glares at Tyler, who immediately plays the Good Samaritan card. He claims to have tried to stop Daniel from drinking and figured the least he could do was make sure nothing bad happened once the drinking started. Victoria falls for it. She and Frank leave Tyler and Ashley alone. Ashley moves in for a kiss and stops short when she realizes Tyler really is sober and wasn't just acting for Victoria.

Nolan's watching a news report on the TV at Poor Porter Bar about the disappearance of Dr. Banks. Emanda takes a seat to Nolan to ask where Daniel went. He doesn't know, but he does know the more pressing matter is the whereabouts of Michelle. Jack comes up to Emanda at the counter to tell her with a roll of the eyes that Daniel and Tyler just left. Emanda apologizes for her friends, but Jack's already giving her love eyes. Jack invites Emanda for some more wine, but she declines and leaves. Jack wonders aloud about how hard she is to figure out. Nolan plays cupid. He says she has nothing but nice things to say about Jack. He grabs a bar napkin and scribbles www.hamptonsexposed.com for Jack before leaving.

Dr. Banks is trapped inside a storage boxcar somewhere and begging to be let out. Emanda stands outside of the container in a black hoodie, taking in the sound of Michelle begging. That's good revenge.

Commercials

Casa Emily. Emanda watches the local news from her laptop. An anonymous tip led the police to the storage unit where Michelle was being held captive and she has been rescued. Victoria is also watching this newscast at home while Frank is on the phone with the police. He asks where the tip came from and verifies Victoria has been with him all evening. Frank hangs up and tells Victoria they're going to want to follow up with her because the storage unit was registered to Grayson Global. Frank vows to get to the bottom of this and starts to leave, but Victoria asks him to spend the night because she doesn't want to be alone. Frank, you dog!

Charlotte and Declan sit together on a set of swings. Char talks through her pain of finding out her mother wishes she'd never been born. Dec tries his best to comfort her with the story that he never got to even meet his mom before she left his father. Charlotte is genuinely interested in Declan and what he's saying. She asks to see his mom's wedding ring, which he decided not to pawn. Turns out it was fake, but Charlotte insists it's something that is priceless to Dec and that's more important. Her phone rings with a call from Victoria and she ignores it. Dec advises her to go home and work things out with her mom. Charlotte smiles and reaches out to hold his hand.

Emanda is now watching the local news on her television set. A reporter asks Dr. Banks if she's relieved now that she's free, but Michelle says she won't be relieved until her attacker is found. She's escorted into an ambulance. Emanda shuts off the TV and puts the key to the storage unit away in the infinity x infinity box. She picks up her phone and calls Daniel. Emanda voice-over: "The greatest weapon anyone can use against us is our own mind..." Tyler has Daniel's phone still and deletes all her calls and voicemails as Daniel sleeps off the drunkenness. "...by preying on the doubts and uncertainties that already lurk there. Are we true to ourselves or do we live in the expectations of others?" Charlotte comes home to find her mom vigilant at the head of the stairs. VO: "And if we are open and honest, can we ever truly be loved?" Jack watches video on the Hamptons Exposed website of Emanda saying she met a guy who could be the one. Meanwhile, Tyler rolls Dan over and tells him sweetly to sleep tight. VO: "Can we find the courage to release our deepest secrets? Or in the end are we all unknowable -- even to ourselves?" Emanda watches video of Michelle asking Victoria in session what she's thinking about. Victoria's blankly looking off in the distance. "The past," she says, "It reminds me how much I... once loved him." Michelle: "Conrad?" Victoria: "No... Not Conrad." Emanda looks up from the video in distress. FLASHBACK: Victoria sneaks into David's house on a rainy night soaking wet. Frank is right behind her outside the door. She grabs David's laptop from the coffee table and hands it off. Little Amanda is crouching behind furniture, hidden from view and sees the whole thing. Frank disappears into the night as David enters the room and catches Victoria, who claims she needed to see him because she told Conrad she's leaving him. She wants them to be together, she says. David is so happy. He takes her by the hand and leads her upstairs, but Victoria catches eyes with Little Amanda and her smile fades. /FLASHBACK. Emanda stares at her reflection which takes up the half of her laptop screen not occupied by Victoria's somber figure sitting in Dr. Banks' office chair.
