Real World TV Show - Why Don't We Get Drunk And S#!$%? - Real World Photos & Videos, Real World Reviews & Real World Recaps | TWoP

Previously on The Real World: Mike made a stupid racist comment. Quarrel was really mean to everyone, especially Mike. Then she decided that she shouldn't be so mean. Nicole loved some guy named Bobby. Who's Bobby? Have we heard about this Bobby before? I don't think that we have. While Nicole was on the phone with Bobby, Rachel made comments like, "Bobby, I love you!" which makes me feel better about when Nicole did the same thing to Rachel a few weeks ago.

Nicole gets a package from this Bobby fellow, and she's all excited about it. In an interview, Quarrel explains that Nicole has a huge crush on Bobby. Nicole opens the package, hoping that it's not "something nasty like thongs" and finds a skirt. In an interview, Nicole says that Bobby is cute, funny, stylish, and that they share a sense of humor. But, Bobby doesn't like her the way that she likes him. What straight guy sends a girl a skirt? Unless he's in the clothing business or something. That just seems weird to me. If they're just friends, how does he even know her size? I guess it's a wraparound, so the sizing is probably generous. I don't know. It just seems like a weird present unless it was from, like, your mom or something.

Nicole voice-overs that she throws herself at Bobby, and he doesn't accept it. Nicole calls Bobby to thank him for the present. In a confessional, Nicole says that she wants Bobby to come visit her from Detroit, which she doesn't think is all that far. Well, it's not like he lives in Brooklyn and can just hop on the subway. It's still a flight away. Bobby says he might come visit the weekend. Nicole is happy, but notes that Bobby doesn't always keep his word. Based on what Nicole has told us thus far, I do not like this Bobby all that much. He seems like a tease. She could do better.

In an interview, Quarrel says that she wants to talk about the tensions in the house. Quarrel talks to Lori and Nicole in a bar. Quarrel tells the others that she knows now that she comes off as strong and intimidating, but she doesn't want to intimidate people. In an interview, Quarrel says that she didn't know that she made everyone else uptight, and she wishes that she could be nice to people, but she worries that they will step all over her if she is. Then, she cries one perfect tear. Man, that Quarrel is messed up if she equates being a nice person to being a doormat.

While playing pool, the guys discuss the fact that Quarrel has made a complete turnaround. In a confessional, Mike says that Quarrel gave him a hug for no reason. Malik thinks that Quarrel has put up a huge wall, and that it takes her a long time to trust people. In an interview, Kevin says that they never found out anything about Quarrel's past, and he wants to talk to her about it.

Nicole is excited that "Bobby the Great" will be visiting her on Saturday. Lori asks what could possibly happen between them. Nicole is sure that nothing will happen. Nicole says that she spent the night in Bobby's apartment, and slept in his bed, and that nothing happened. Lori thinks that Bobby might be shy, and tells Nicole to make the first move. Nicole plans to get Bobby drunk, and then also drink herself. Then, she's going to pretend to be drunker than she is, in order to maintain plausible deniability. I think she should just flat-out tell him that she likes him, and see what he has to say, because obviously her games aren't working. Nicole says something to the effect that she should use her evil for good, but I think she meant to say that she should use her powers for good, not evil. Whatever. Coming up with a plan to fake intoxication doesn't really constitute "powers" in my book. Also? Bobby doesn't like her that way. It seems pretty obvious.

After showing a hairbrush, a nearly empty roll of toilet paper, a dripping faucet, and a bag of makeup, we see Nicole getting ready to go pick up Bobby from the airport. Quarrel plots with Rachel and Lori to "get Nicole some booty." Quarrel doesn't want Nicole to have drunk sex, and Rachel thinks that Nicole will take whatever she can get because it's Bobby. Quarrel says that Bobby had better give it up. The whole "getting Bobby drunk" and "getting Bobby to give it up" theme makes me kind of uncomfortable. If this were a bunch of guys sitting around plotting to get some girl drunk and make her have sex, we'd all be disgusted. Throughout this scene, Rachel was putting on socks with toes in them, and the camera keeps doing close-ups of them, and they are freaking me out. There's something innately wrong with socks with toes in them. They look too much like little hands, and it's weird. Clearly, I've thought about this way too much. Moving on.

Nicole puts on a lot of makeup, as usual. Nicole is nervous, and wonders if she looks nice enough to pick up Bobby from the airport. Quarrel teases her by singing little songs to her about Bobby. Nicole puts on more makeup in the van. I'm kind of excited to see this Bobby fellow. He must be a cross between Denzel Washington and Taye Diggs.

At the apartment, Nicole tries to make herself throw up, which is so charming to watch. Bobby plays pool, because he's still not being a good friend at all. Quarrel checks on Nicole and then greets Bobby, who says that Nicole "needs some help right now." Quarrel helps Nicole down the stairs, and I wish Nicole would take off the high heels before she falls. Quarrel gets Nicole down the stairs and to the bathroom, where Nicole throws up. In an interview, Quarrel says that the drunken thing isn't sexy. Nicole babbles about Bobby's curly hair. Quarrel helps Nicole put on lipstick, and gives her some water. Quarrel sends Nicole and Bobby off, telling them to "be good or good at it." Heh.

Up on the roof, Nicole makes herself throw up again, all over the floor, with Bobby sitting right there. Sexy. Would someone please put this girl to bed? Alone? Quarrel sneaks out onto the roof and gets Nicole to clean her mouth out with toothpaste, saying that Bobby will never have the chance to kiss her if she keeps throwing up. I think it's time to give up on that plan.

Bunim: How much did we pay Bobby to do this again?
Murray: Well, it's kind of complicated. He got a flat fee just for showing up. If we get nudity of any kind out of it, he gets a bonus. If there is actual sexual contact, he gets a bonus. If she throws up, and he kisses her anyway, he gets combat pay.
Bunim: Did you spike her drink like I told you to?
Murray: No. Maybe. Yes.

In her bedroom, Nicole gets a massage from Bobby with the oil and all. In an interview, Rachel says that Bobby must have some feelings for Nicole to fly out to see her for one night. Rachel is also in the room, and she calls Quarrel in to stand there and watch Bobby and Nicole. Nicole says that she wants Bobby, and Bobby says he's not ready for that yet. Nicole drunkenly says, "Not ready for what?" Bobby answers, "Being had." Then they both pass out. Sexy.

Lori tells us that she, Quarrel, Mike, and Kevin took a trip to Central Park to have fun in the sun. They all climb a big rock and take pictures of each other. In an interview, Quarrel says that she doesn't let loose often because she had a hard childhood, so she doesn't know what being spontaneous and carefree feels like. The roommates get into a boat and Mike rows them around a pond.

Mike asks Quarrel why she doesn't swim. Quarrel tells the same story we heard in the casting special about how she got stuck upside down in an inner tube, and her aunt got her out. Quarrel says she's not terrified of water, but she's terrified of drowning. In an interview, Mike says it's cool to hear Quarrel open up. Mike jumps into the water. Are you supposed to swim in the pond in Central Park? I don't know, but I doubt it. In an interview, Quarrel says that Mike became a person and not a symbol. She thinks that it's really time-consuming to hate someone, and that Mike is "a perfect guy to have fun with."

Statue of Liberty Shot #8. Some dude in a cape walks down the street. Nicole tells Bobby that the smell of the champagne makes her sick. In an interview, Nicole says that her plan backfired, because she got drunk. Nicole and Bobby discuss their varying degrees of experience with alcohol. Bobby says that he drinks slowly, much as he does everything slow. Nicole giggles. In a confessional, Nicole says that she knows she throws herself at Bobby, but that she thinks that he's the one. Nicole and Bobby head to the airport. Nicole wants Bobby to give her a goodbye kiss, and he won't. At the airport, Nicole sees Bobby off, and looks sad. In an interview, Nicole says that she feels like she's stopped looking, because the position has been filled, but Bobby is still taking applications.

Quarrel asks Nicole whether she got one in. Nicole says no. Quarrel wonders what kind of game Bobby is running. Nicole says that she respects Bobby's reasons for not sleeping with her. In an interview, Quarrel says that Bobby is "so transparent," and that he's playing the "chase me" game to make himself feel better, which works on Nicole because she's insecure. Nicole says that you can't fault someone for being a gentleman. In an interview, Nicole says that Bobby has decided not to participate in certain activities, and she can't complain, because normally women complain about guys going too fast. Okay, so does that mean that Bobby doesn't want to have sex with anyone, or just Nicole? Are they not allowed to kiss each other? I hate to say it, but I totally agree with Quarrel here. He's a big tease because he likes the attention. ["Or he's gay. I mean, I didn't see the episode or anything, but it seems like a plausible possibility." -- Wing Chun]

Nicole says that the alcohol snuck up on her, and suddenly she was drunk. Quarrel says that at least Nicole had fun, and Nicole says that it wasn't really fun.

week: Lori is excited about the BC Bostonians' final show. Kevin meets a girl named Beth, who's a model. Lori is upset that she doesn't know about "romantic things going on" in the house.
