Monkey House Syndrome

S11E13

The show begins with Heidi and Tim greeting the designers on the runway. Daniel is wearing shorts and a black turtleneck. There's a whole lot of look happening with him right now. Heidi says that each of them will get ten thousand dollars to create twelve-look Fall collections.

They all head to their homes and, I shit you not, my cable cuts out Patricia's home visit. This is completely off-topic, but it took all of my restraint not to break my DVR into a thousand pieces. Then, I would bury those pieces. Then I would scorch the earth where I buried the pieces. Then, I would cry. So, I'm only doing the last part. Tim visits Michelle in Portland. He says some really nice stuff about her in front of her family, like how she is authentic and unapologetic about her aesthetic. He also hints that he was at least partially responsible for getting a "do or die” moment instead of the boot. He warns her not to overdesign before leaving her.

He visits Daniel in Austin. Something has happened to his hair. It is… a problem. His sister looks like a movie star. Tim meets her and Daniel's buddies. Daniel tells Tim that Salvador Dali is his inspiration, which makes a lot of sense. Tim seems to be confused by the collection. He says a lot of nice things, but he also has problems with it. I can't tell if Daniel is absorbing the critique though. The critique is probably having issues making it through his hair. Tim then visits Stanley in Los Angeles and likes his work, with the exception of the color of one dress. Then, he has lunch with Stanley's niece and his partner. Stanley's niece is adorable. Wait, that's an understatement. She's gorgeous. We hear that Stanley has been devastated by the recent death of his sister, Belinda. Tim is so sweet to everyone, I'm assuming. He could have gotten into a fistfight with Patricia, but I won't know that until a rerun happens.

Four weeks later, they head back to New York. Daniel arrives first to their penthouse digs. Daniel is apparently still burning about the weird non-fight that he had with Michelle during the Lord & Taylor challenge. She notices and does a lot to bring down the temperature in the room. Stanley and Patricia get there and they have one of them champagne toasts.

When their stuff is revealed in the workroom, Patricia thinks that Daniel isn't trying hard enough, while Daniel thinks that Michelle is trying too hard. They are all stunned that Stanley still has a lot of work to finish. They get helpers again for this challenge. Richard is there for Stanley, Samantha for Daniel, Amanda for Michelle and Layana for Patricia. Layana is pregnant! Tim comes in for a consultation and it looks like Daniel is in trouble. Everything is too safe and old.

They have to present three looks to the judges, to decide who will continue to Fashion Week. Stanley is upset that Richard can't help as much with sewing because of his lack of knowledge, but Michelle says that it's Stanley's fault for having so much unfinished work.

Stanley's mini-collection is chic and beautiful. Patricia's is far out and, while the first dress is kind of not great, the other two are fantastic. Daniel's stuff is classic and safe, though beautiful. Michelle's stuff is tough and sexy. Her jacket finale is remarkable.

The judging is epic. Michelle gets a lot of praise, though Nina cautions her against overaccessorizing. She tells the judges that she worked with eliminated designer Joe to create a wolf print. Amazing. Daniel gets criticism for not having any color or volume. Heidi says that she is underwhelmed. People are split on Patricia. Zac, in particular, seems to be excited by her work. Stanley gets slammed for not being young enough.

The judges are all over the place. No one seems totally safe, except for maybe Michelle. The designers return to the stage. Michelle is in. So is Patricia! So, it's down to Stanley and Daniel. Stanley is…in. That means that Daniel is out. Surprisingly, he is composed and good-spirited about it. Now, onto Fashion Week!

Previously: All of the designers except for Michelle went to Europe for inspiration and textiles. Layana made the most ridiculous outfit with sleeves like Linda Gray would have worn on Models Inc.. That reference could be even older and it wouldn't do justice to the insanity of these sleeves. Much like not being able to see the forest for the trees, the judges were unable to see the coat for the sleeves. Thusly, Layana was eliminated.

Tim and Heidi greet the designers on the runway. Congratulations all around. They are all going to go home and make collections for Fashion Week. That said, only three will be actually showing at the big show. They will get ten grand to complete the collections. Also, Tim will be bestowing one of his famous home visits on each of them. He passionately reminds them that any of them could win. The collections are to be designed for the fall season. This makes Michelle happy because she loves Fall so much, like she even has to make a heart with her hands and put it over an area near her own heart she loves it so much. Heidi and Tim wish them a ton of luck and then send them on their way.

Later, we see them packing at the Atlas Building. Michelle asks Patricia if she plans on making all of her textiles. She says no, because it wouldn't be realistic for reproduction. Then, she interviews that she can't lose focus for a second, because she has a real chance at making it to Fashion Week. She is nervous because she never won a challenge. Wow, that's right, isn't it? Has anyone ever made it to Fashion Week without winning a challenge? I think maybe they haven't. Daniel interviews shakily that he is so proud of himself. He has gone through a lot to make it this far in the competition and making it to Fashion Week would be beyond belief. I really have to believe that Daniel's interviews were recycled a lot this season. If he seriously repeated through tears dozens of times how proud he was of himself, I find it unconscionable that someone didn't try to get medication for this man.

Michelle says that Stanley is her biggest competition. However, she thinks that he's probably a bit of a magpie and will keep adding to his collection. There will be more sparkle and more feathers until there is (jazz hands included) "a Bob Mackie moment!" It's interesting that we've never heard her say anything remotely as reductive and insulting to Stanley's face. That said, this show could use a fucking Bob Mackie moment. The thing about Michelle though, you can tell this little geek really feels special sitting there in front of the camera. Because, the germ of her argument is not incorrect. It's not out of the question that left with extra time and resources, Stanley might over-embellish his designs. But, she always seems like she can't help herself and she has to make it nasty and belittling. There has been NOT ONE MOMENT that would justify why she acts this way either, except that she is a nasty person. Maybe she's working overtime to come off as a "personality." But, there's no way that someone who can't even hug a person because she needs her "space" and all that bullshit would not think that the things that says in these interviews are horrible. I can't wait to see the backtracking that she does at the reunion special. Because, sure, Stanley was a bit of a taskmaster during the challenge where he worked with Tu, but he never denied it and he ultimately got praised for his management skills, so maybe he was right. Tu certainly never got that much done on his own. And, Stanley has always been magnanimous in his interviews. In fact, here he interviews that he is most interested to see Michelle's collection, because they are so different as designers. He says that she has been like the stepchild in the corner for most of the competition and it has been really hard for her. This is where I wonder if there is something off about my perception. Michelle was not in a position to win a lot of challenges in the beginning, but I don't feel like there was any question that she was surviving. Even the "do or die" moment was invented as a way to keep her alive after she royally screwed the pooch in the challenge. But, if she's been living with the feeling that she has to be this scrappy bridesmaid, maybe her attitude is based in defensiveness. I don't buy it at all, but maybe it's true.

Four months later, Tim shows up in snowy Taos, New Mexico. Patricia meets him outside and the Project Runway composers really go to town with their version of Native American music. Tim is having a problem walking in the snow and tells her that he's walking like a granddad. She says that she is walking on air. I love Patricia. She interviews that the last four months have been great. It has been nice to find he inspiration again in a place where she is comfortable. She tells Tim what an honor it is to have him there to meet her family. He thinks the place is magical.

Her family is waiting for Tim outside. He hugs Patricia's mother, Juanita. Weird... my mom's name is Patricia and her mother's name is Juanita. And yet, we are not Native American. Patricia interviews that she can be bossy because she has a vision that can be difficult to explain and her family has been very patient with her. He enters Patricia's childhood home and lunch has been prepared. Honestly, this place is brilliant. It is so interestingly and intuitively appointed. It's almost difficult to describe. You certainly realize how little we are exposed to Native American culture in our own. Juanita prays over the food, then they sit down. Patricia tells her stoic stepfather that he can eat as much as he wants because this is his day off of his diet and he answers drily, "What diet?" Patricia says that she doesn't want her children or her parents to feel like all of the hard work was for nothing.

She says that everyone in her family is some type of performer and they need someone to make their clothes. She adds that people are very interested in their culture but do not want to intrude, which is what gave her the idea to create contemporary clothing. Before Patricia leaves with Tim so that they can have her critique, she and Juanita share an emotional moment together. Tim says that it's supposed to be a happy moment and Juanita just says that she is beyond proud of her daughter.

Patricia tells Tim that being raised there gave her the strength to go out into the world. He totally understands. They make it to her studio and she shows him a leather mesh that she is creating. It's going to be a dress. Tim thinks that it's extraordinary. She is also using horsehair. She says that her collection is inspired by trees. He sees one textile that he finds too literal. He describes her nicely by saying that she usually takes a literal idea and makes it abstract. This textile is the opposite and it looks crafty. He tells her that she can't have any self-doubts. He tells her that his visit has been an epiphany for learning about Patricia. He says that it has been wonderful. She loves that he said that to her, but she is worried about her critique.

, we find ourselves in Portland, Oregon. Michelle is sitting in a restaurant with her family. She tells them that she is scared shitless. The competition was really hard for her to get through and it was difficult being away from her boo, aka Manny, her husband. She interviews that it has been great spending time with her family since she has been back. She's wearing another one of those merkin necklaces. Those are not happening and she needs to give up on them. She says that she is hoping that her collection will have the "wow" factor and her dad says that it will, but she jokes that he hasn't even seen it yet.

Tim arrives and she interviews that she is nervous to have him in Portland but also very excited because she thinks that his feedback is very important. Tim asks her family how they felt when she was chosen for the show and her mom says that they did cartwheels. Her brother, Cyril, asks Tim what his first impression of Michelle was. He says that he liked her at once. Cyril replies, "I didn't." Brothers. Nobody's getting too big for their britches around them. Tim continues and says that, when she was having problems with the judges, he was backstage with Heidi insisting that she stay. He feels that she is honest and without pretension. You see, maybe I just read her totally wrong? At this point though, aren't we seeing more sides of her than Tim would have? Or, does he see the interviews? I don't know. Maybe I just don't like her and that's fine. She interviews that she knew that she and Tim got along well, but hearing that stuff in front of her family was emotional.

She tells Tim that she worked in the wine industry for years. She quit two years ago to pursue this dream. Her family pitched in and bought her a dress form four years ago and that changed her life. Tim says that her family all had a hand in her success. Now, it's time to go look at her work. As they are walking through what looks like a giant warehouse, she interviews that coming home from Project Runway was difficult for her because she felt alone and misunderstood. She begins to tell Tim about her inspiration and says that she started thinking about wolves. People call them bloodthirsty, but they are actually loyal pack animals. So, she is thinking of a female, hunting lone wolf as her inspiration. Tim is liking it.

She is using her woven breastplate idea, which Tim thinks is a strong motif. She has this ruffled neckpiece that is chartreuse over a black dress and Tim suggests that it might be interesting if the whole look were the same color. He asks her what her concerns are and she says that she wants to make sure that all twelve looks belong in the same collection. And, she only has four looks done. "I'm only a third of the way done!" she says to Tim, then she interviews that she was lying and is only about a tenth of the way done. Tim tells her that she should feel ecstatic about her work. Before he leaves, he whispers to her that she shouldn't overdesign.

, Tim is in good ol' Austin, Texas to see Daniel. We arrive at Daniel's friends' house. Inside, Daniel is sitting at a table with his sister Kathryn. She asks him how he feels. Oh my God. His hair. What do you even say about this hair? It's like a direct descendent of Melanie Mayron from thirtysomething, except that he needs one chunky earring. Wait, that kind of makes both him and Michelle the offspring of Melanie Mayron. I really love Melanie Mayron and am sorry to besmirch her reputation with such comparisons because this hair is BONKERS. And, still with the mustache. So much look happening on Daniel. He tells Kathryn that he is confident that he stuck to his point-of-view.

Tim arrives and Daniel answers the door. They hug and Tim mentions Daniel's hair. He shakes it and says, "Isn't it fun?" Tim tells him that he looks like a chia pet, which is brilliant. Tim is excited to introduce Tim to Kathryn and his best friend Paul and Paul's partner Oscar. Kathryn tells Tim that, when they were kids in Puerto Rico, they would put on little shows. Daniel laughs that he would wear the brown dress with polka dots. Then, Kathryn says that Daniel's first outfit was for her and all of the girls asked her where she got it. She would say, "It's an Esquivel Original." Daniel interviews that he had to overcome being Hispanic and gay -- he was picked on a lot in school. I remember him saying in the premiere that he left school because of bullying. Here he is, nearly 50-years old, still feeling the repercussions. That's sad. He says that he is thankful for the people who cared about him when he didn't care enough about himself. Kathryn continues tearfully, saying how proud she is of him. He says that he is the happiest he has ever been.

So, Daniel's friends have been nice enough to let him use their home as his studio. Daniel shows Tim his storyboard. It includes Salvador Dali, which explains VOLUMES. He also has Berlin and astronomy. Tim thinks that those are three very different influences, but Daniel feels that he has been able to mesh them. Tim is complimentary about a lot of the looks. He suggests adding a black tuxedo stripe to a red pant. His one major problem is this cashmere jacket that he calls "grandma's robe." He thinks that it brings the whole collection down. He says that that the problem with living with your designs is something called Monkey House Syndrome. First, when you walk in, everything smells really bad. The longer you are there, the less you notice the smell. So Tim feels obligated to call out what stinks when he first walks in.

Michelle arrives . Daniel says that he still has a bad taste in his mouth regarding what happened towards the end of the Lord & Taylor challenge. Really? That was the problem you had? It wasn't her talking shit about every creative impulse you could possibly have every time she was behind a closed door? That's what would make me guarded. Michelle is all smiles and hugs him and tells him how handsome he looks. She can tell that he is not happy to see her. She's so confusing. She's like "get over it" in her interviews. Then, she is confused by what he's talking about when he says that the past is the past. Then, she interviews that they need each other right now. They need each other's HUGS. It's like three different Michelles talking right now. Seriously, those were three different world views expressed by the same person in less than ten seconds of viewing time.

Stanley is the to arrive. Michelle tells him that he looks like a pimp. He is excited to be back, but he is anxious about all of the work that he has to complete. He explains that he paid a woman to dye some fabrics for him and she ruined $700 of material. What? He had to start over because of that. Daniel says that they are excited to see what Patricia has made. Michelle says that it's going to be MoMA glamour. I guess that is because they went to MoMA? It is very modern stuff that she makes so I guess that makes sense.

Patricia enters and everyone seems happy to see her. "Hey, Mommy," Stanley says to her. She says that she is not sure if is the competition that created the bond with everyone, but she is excited to see them. Michelle finds a note from Heidi and Tim that tells them to relax for the day because they are getting back to work the very day. Michelle pops some champagne and Patricia toasts "to many more fabulous collections." Everyone concurs.

The day, they go back to the workroom. It is two days before the big show. Everybody starts unpacking their bags and Stanley says that he is really nervous. Daniel is a little worried too. He hopes that he made his collection young enough. Patricia sees his stuff and thinks that it looks really safe, which is not safe because it won't get you to Fashion Week. Michelle made some chaps which Patricia loves. Stanley is happy to see that she included a gown in her collection. Daniel thinks that her collection is trying too had. Stanley was excited to see Patricia's work but it's not his style. He still thinks that Michelle is his biggest competition. Everyone is stunned that Stanley has a lot of work to complete. Michelle makes a remark that he is further behind than the rest of them and he's like, yeah, I already told you that. She interviews that she can't imagine why someone would set themselves up for failure like that. Did she not listen to him when he was explaining that he had to start over?

Tim comes in and welcomes them. He is very happy to see all of them there. He tells them that the day they will present three-piece mini collections to the judges. This will decide who is going to Fashion Week. Tim says that they need to be very strategic with their choices. Patricia says that she would be really sad if she went home at this point. Stanley is nervous because he's not sure what best represents his collection.

Tim says that there is one last surprise. Since this season has been about teams -- Michelle is like UP THE JUNCTION, not another team challenge -- they are going to get helpers again. There's a sigh of relief from everyone. Can you imagine how nervous Stanley must have been just then? If they had gotten another challenge and he had not gotten the chance to finish his stuff, I really do think he would have been finished. They will have until 11 that evening to work and their helpers will be in shortly.

Tim leaves and they all wonder who their helpers will be. Then, Richard and Samantha enter! Richard is working with Stanley and they hug each other. Stanley says, "I got my Richard." He adds that Richard is very good at hand sewing. So, he'll be in good shape if he can focus on the construction and pass off the piecework to Richard. Samantha is working with Daniel. As they hug, you see Patricia with this mortified look on her face. I'm not sure what is bothering her so much except that maybe she really wanted to work with Samantha? Or maybe she doesn't know that she is making that face. Either way, I love it. She looks purely terrified. Daniel says that he is happy to have Samantha because she can help keep a young perspective.

The door opens again and it's Layana and Amanda. Michelle gives Layana a big hug and it appears that she is pregnant! That's just like Laura Bennett. Right? Or was Laura already preggers when she started the show? Because she was kinda big when they came back. Anyway, a reminder of Laura is always welcomed, even if it's in the shape of Layana. Michelle is thrilled to be working with Amanda. I can't believe that I haven't asked this already, but I wonder how Amanda feels about the color maroon. That's a disgusting oversight on my part and I apologize. I bet she hates maroon. That means that Layana will be working with Patricia, who is pleased because she knows that Layana can do very detailed work.

We spend a little time with the designers showing their helpers their collections. Everyone is very complimentary. They get to work and Samantha pushes Daniel to be a little sexier. Michelle points out to Amanda that Stanley still has to construct garments and Amanda says that's terrifying. Michelle strangely wants to take it in some shaming direction and says that that's not setting yourself up for success. I admire how Amanda never lets anyone drag her into the muck. Because, seriously, like someone thinks it's a GREAT idea to wait until you get to the workroom to construct your garments. He had some timing issues and he has been working non-stop. This was not part of the plan, obviously. He's just trying to make it work now. So, with great passion, and also with some deference to Amanda's hair, which is off the chain right now, I'm requesting that Michelle just can it for the rest of this episode. Just do your thing. Talk about you. Like Patricia said, you guys have a bond. Try respecting it for a little bit. Amanda is worried about Stanley too, but she doesn't seem to think it's an issue of his intentional set-up.

Tim comes in for a consultation. He starts with Michelle. He likes her coat, though he wonders if it's a dress or not. It's a dress with a coating piece over it. She shows her wolf print, which is very subtle. Also, she has some chaps. Daniel says again that he thinks her collection is a little overworked. I have to say, it's interesting that he's saying this after having watched a portion of the show. I can't help but think that he came with the intention of saying something bad about her work as some form of revenge. Frankly, I also don't really blame him. Tim asks about this one coat that has these clip-on bags and stuff, including something she calls "saddlebags" that are on the sides of the thighs. Tim is wondering if all the clip-on action is necessary, but suggests she go whole hog.

Stanley is showing his collection to Tim and it's really not going well. Michelle, always on the ready to pipe in, says that he's doing his tired old Hollywood glamour and she was hoping that he would make it young and hip. Tim tells Stanley that he doesn't want to make something that only mature women would wear, but Stanley says that he does want to make it something that a mature woman could wear. Tim thinks that there needs to be more skin. Stanley interviews that it's fall. Who is showing lots of skin in the fall? That's not a bad point. He also says that his clothes aren't oversexed and speak for themselves. He feels like he has to trust his aesthetic.

Patricia shows this wacky dress with a headpiece. I DIG IT. Layana loves it too. Daniel is amazed by Patricia's horsehair pieces. She has this one look though that Tim thinks looks like a lumberjack. The shirt looks like a man's shirt and the shorts are a really weird volume. Layana speaks up that Patricia has some other pieces that are more cohesive.Patricia is really lucky that Layana is such a vocal editor. Tim tells Patricia to listen to Layana and ditch the lumberjack uniform for the mini-collection.

Daniel starts explaining his mini-collection to Tim. Of course, we see the peanut gallery making faces, which I really don't understand. Wait, Patricia was right behind Richard when that sentence started and she's by Layana when Layana starts making faces at the end of that sentence. Who even knows what they were making faces about? That said, I'm not trying to be a forensics expert here, I'm just watching the show that they have made. Stanley says that some of Daniel's pieces are youthful, but it's not sophisticated. Patricia still thinks that Daniel is playing it very safe. Tim wonders if he needs more excitement in his collection. Daniel is sort of sticking to his guns, but Tim cautions him to be objective and critical.

And, finally, we have Michelle's mini-collection. First up, she has this sweater with the wolf print over a silk blouse. She is wearing this over gray jeans and chaps. It's cool. The look is a green dress with a skirt over it and a quilted breastpiece over that. I really hate this. There is so much going on. And, I can't imagine a circumstance where you could be wearing this outfit and not be thinking, "I'm going to suffocate." Lastly, she has her showstopper, which is her black jacket with the modular clip-ons. This is a very cool piece.

After the show, the judging begins with Michelle. She tells them that the lone wolf is her inspiration. She picked the looks to showcase her mix of casual and fancy. Zac asks her about her techniques and she says that she used a lot of quilting and leather. Heidi says there is a lot going on and she likes it. She likes the disheveled styling of the models, but she wishes there were a pop of color somewhere. Zac tells her not to call the saddlebags saddlebags. Nina doesn't like the hair and she feels like there is no connection between the hair and the makeup. She apparently collaborated with former weirdo designer Joe to create the knit pattern. Nina congratulates her on using her resources properly. That's true too. What a smart thing to do.

They talk to Daniel . He says that the stingray is the through-line in his collection. Zac commends him for working with stingray, because it is very difficult. That said, he has seen it used as the racing strip on a dress tons of times. Nina doesn't think that the look with knit is dramatic enough. Heidi says that she is underwhelmed. She adds that she likes Daniel so much too and has rooted for him throughout the season.

Patricia's models come out . Nina loves the horsehair parka. She's not crazy about her boots or the styling. Zac calls the blue dress Tina Turner Smurf, but Heidi says that she likes it. She's not wild about the black and white look. Zac wonders how she is going pull all of this together. Nina compares it to Dr. Seuss and Patricia says that it's not Dr. Seuss. Zac fucking SHUTS Nina down. I almost wonder if they have a beef or something. He says that, coming from mothers, being called Dr. Seuss is a compliment. He likes that her work has an element of humor to it. He loves the headpiece, which Nina hated. Nina felt like all of the fine details were overshadowed by the craziness surrounding them. Heidi wonders if she can edit. She says that she can. Nina really hates the horsehair too!

With one hour remaining in the day, Layana and Samantha are working near each other. Layana whispers to Samantha that, other than the horsehair cape, everything is a disaster. Patricia walks in at one point and she stops talking. Layana says that she doesn't even know how she can help. Samantha interviews that she loves Patricia's technique, but she's not wearing any of her clothes.

The day, it's the day of the runway show. Everyone gets into the workroom and starts working. Tim comes in to pump everyone up. Then, the models come in for their fittings! Stanley is behind and needs help because Richard can't sew leather. Michelle says that it's not Richard's fault that he showed up with bags of pattern pieces. What is her damage? It's almost time for the show. Patricia says that she wants this so badly. Stanley is really excited.

On the runway, Heidi greets the designers. She reminds them that their mini-collections will decide who shows at Fashion Week. She introduces Zac and Nina. No guest judge this time. The show begins with Stanley's look. He starts with these black slacks, black jacket and gold blouse. It's hot. up is this gold dress with a plunging black neckline. There's something chunky about the fit, which he recognizes. Lastly, he has this top and skirt with black rhinestones. There's a black jacket on top. All of this stuff is really well done, though maybe not as dramatic as it should have been. He is happy and proud though.

, we have Patricia's collection. I hate the first look. It's this babydoll-fitted black and white print. Way too many accessories are happening. The piece is the horsehair cape, with black leather pants. It's amazing. Her muse, Katrina, is wearing her showstopper. It's sort of a blue flapper dress with silver sequins and a blue feather headpiece. It's crazy, but I think I love it. Patricia thinks that it's strong and fun.

Here's Daniel's collection. The first look is black leather Capri pants, with a stingray jacket with a plunging neckline. His second look is a knit sweater and tuxedo pants. There are stingray stripes on the pants. It's cute, but not dramatic enough at all. is a black crepe gown, with a stingray racing stripe on the back. Apparently, Tim was unable to persuade him. He's going with his original idea.

Stanley presents his looks. Heidi thinks that there are not enough ideas showing. Zac thinks that the proportions date his looks. Nina thinks that he needs to get more modern. Heidi also thinks that the styling is boring too. Zac feels that he's right in the chic banal place. That's the worst place to be! Nina says that the collection has a lot of promise though.

Afterwards, backstage, Daniel is feeling anxious. Michelle says that she thinks all of them are going to Fashion Week and that they all deserve it. So generous when she is around everyone else. Patricia starts crying because she says that she feels like she has never made it to that level during this process.

The judges confer and seem to like Michelle, though she thinks that she maybe overaccessorized. Nina didn't like the hair and make-up. She also says that she doesn't like Patricia. Zac thinks that she has the most potential, because she combines craft, originality and history. Heidi thinks that it would be sad for the people at home to not see what else Patricia made. That is such a great point! Man, Heidi GETS IT. We want to see the drama! She says that she would rather see Patricia fail than see either of Stanley or Daniel's boring collections. They think that Daniel is too old and they are concerned about the proportions and styling of Stanley's show.

The designers return to the stage. Michelle is in. Heidi reminds her to think about her styling and editing. Patricia is in! Heidi tells her to think about cohesion. She interviews that she is so excited she wishes she could say profanities. Fuck yeah! That means it's down to Stanley and Daniel. Stanley is...in. Whew. He tells them that he won't disappoint them.

Heidi tells Daniel that she's sorry. She says that they've loved having him on the show Project Runway. He says that he wouldn't change anything and I think Heidi maybe thinks that he's being defiant about the advice that they just gave him, but he clarifies that making it as far as he has was a real gift. She tells him that he's a lovely person and she gives him his kisses. He interviews that he's a little disappointed in himself. He goes backstage and everyone hugs him. Tim comes in and has everyone sit. He comforts Daniel, who really keeps it together. I'm proud of him and he's proud of himself. He says that he's a better person for this experience.
