The episode opens with a recap of all six episodes. In the first episode, the players met up in a Crazy Taxi. Everyone thought Corbin was crazy. Dennis didn't care who The Mole was, but he did want to win the money. Stephen formed a coalition with Tracey. Keshia convinced Angie to go skinny-dipping, and got an exemption. Ananda was executed. In the second episode, the celebrities had to bust open giant piñatas, and Stephen got an exemption. The celebrities couldn't agree as to who should get an exemption, and Corbin made particularly nasty comments to both Angie and Keshia. Corbin then got executed. Instant karma. In the third episode, the celebrities had to race through a maze, and everyone thought Stephen was acting Mole-ish. And then Stephen was executed.
In the fourth episode, the executed players came back and pegged the remaining celebrities with balls. Keshia was executed. In the fifth episode, the ladies had to ride donkeys and translate Spanish. Mark took a banana and lost money for the pot, but he claimed someone else sabotaged him. The celebrities played a game where they had to answer basic questions, which Tracey won, and she then gave an exemption to Dennis, automatically advancing him to the final round. Tracey then got executed. In the sixth episode, Mark morphed into Mr. Annoying, or as he called it, "Mr. Danger." He tried to sabotage the mission in a very obvious manner. Angie, Dennis, and Mark took the final quiz, and shortly we will find out the results.
Ahmad welcomes us to the final episode, and says that it has been a few weeks since the quiz was taken. Did it take that long to tabulate the results? Mark, Angie, and Dennis wait in separate booths (which look a lot like Catholic confessionals) behind locked doors. Ahmad promises to show us how the Mole sabotaged games, which celebrity won the money, and the hidden clues presented throughout the season. Also, the previously executed celebrities will return to annoy (Corbin) and delight (Tracey) us some more.
The executed players (Ananda, Corbin, Stephen, Keshia, and Tracey) are reunited. Ahmad confirms that they have viewed all of the episodes, and asks each player who is The Mole, and who is the winner. Ananda says that if she knew, she would have won herself. It sounded like she planned that comment ahead of time, which is kind of sad. Ananda thinks that Angie is the winner, and Mark is The Mole. Corbin thinks Dennis is the winner and Mark is The Mole. Stephen cracks up at Corbin and sarcastically says that Corbin is obviously over it. Ananda makes the cuckoo motion. Stephen says that Angie is the winner, but that he hopes it's Dennis, and that Mark is The Mole. Keshia thinks that Dennis will win and that Mark is The Mole. Tracey (who looks fabulous, by the way) says that Angie is the winner and Dennis is The Mole. In fact, she thinks Dennis has got to be The Mole. Ahmad says that before the results are revealed, we're going to look back at the "suspicious moments" of the three finalists. I'm going to gloss over these quite a bit, because if you want more details, you can check the old recaps. Ah, reality-show final episode recaps. So filled with links.
Angie wanted to make people think that she was The Mole, as did Mark. Dennis guessed that he was The Mole. Tracey thought Angie could use her temper to deflect Mole suspicions, because players would think that she was pissed off instead of sabotaging. In the "Artifact or Fiction" game, Angie convinced the others that she saw Mark's artifact on a shopping trip. In "Piñata Party," Angie got disqualified. In "Exemption or Bust," Angie got pissed off at Corbin and refused to participate in the game.
Angie said that Mark was funny, and that she couldn't get a read on him, which would make him a great Mole. Many players thought it was suspect that Mark picked the pink pig piñata, since it had the exemption inside. In "Tequila Shooters," Mark loafed off and didn't get one bottle across the bridge. In "Treasure Code," Mark bailed water into the boat to try to sink it.
Mark noticed that Dennis didn't take any notes the whole time. Dennis refused the exemption in "Exemption or Bust." In "Flashback," even though Dennis had seen the answers, he only got one picture right. He also opened his briefcase when he was told not to, and prevented them from doubling their money for the pot. Mark thought that was a last-ditch effort at sabotage.
Ahmad has three keys. He reminds us that the non-Mole player who scored the highest on the final quiz is the winner, and that only the winner's key will open his or her door. Ahmad slides a key through a slot in each of the doors, and then tells the players to try their keys. Whichever player emerges is the winner and will win $222,000. The players fit the keys into the locks. A door opens. Dennis Rodman walks out. Everyone cheers and squeals. Ananda is shocked. Ahmad congratulates Dennis and asks why he was so confident all along. Dennis says that's just his attitude, and bojingle bojangle.
Ahmad says that it's time to reveal which player was The Mole. Ahmad hands a key to Dennis and tells him to give it to The Mole. Dennis walks over and puts the key through the slot in the center door. The door opens, and Angie walks out. Everyone is shocked, since none of them picked Angie as The Mole. Angie laughs and says that she fooled them all. Ahmad says that they need to let Mark out. Mark comes out and hugs Angie, saying that he knew it was her. Well, obviously not, since he didn't win. Ahmad asks Mark what happened. Mark says he doesn't know, and that he waffled on his pick.
The finalists are now all seated. Ahmad asks Dennis why he was so sure he would win the money. Dennis says that it's his "cocky nature," and that after a few executions, he got more and more sure. Dennis adds that, at first, he wasn't paying attention, but as time went on, he started picking things up. Ahmad introduces a clip package showing how Mark and Dennis played the game. Both Mark and Dennis predicted that they would win from day one. Mark's strategy was to create suspicion through humor. Or, more accurately, "humor." Keshia thought that Mark was so happy-go-lucky because he was The Mole, so he wasn't worried about getting executed. Dennis used his "bad-boy persona to confuse and intimidate the other players." Tracey noticed that Dennis never took any notes, and yet he still remembered all the details. Corbin thought Dennis might have a photographic memory, because he managed to take the quizzes without ever writing in his journal.
Ahmad voice-overs that in the first episode, Dennis got the slowest time on the quiz, but outscored five other players to stay in the game. Mark got the top score on the first two quizzes, mostly because he realized that Angie prevented $35,000 from going into the pot in one day. In fact, Mark was the only player to choose Angie as The Mole on the second quiz. But after the third episode, Angie moved down on Mark's suspect list because she performed so well in catching chickens. Both Dennis and Mark began focusing on Tracey, because she lost money during the maze game. Dennis voted for Tracey across the board on that quiz. Mark kept a more open mind, and Angie's performance in "Donkey Rally" moved her back up on his suspect list. Dennis was struggling, because he was still focused on Tracey as The Mole. That night, Tracey gave Dennis an exemption, which got him into the finals. Mark got eight out of ten questions correct on that night's quiz. Dennis was still answering questions as if Tracey were The Mole, and got the lowest score on the quiz that night, but his exemption (given to him by Tracey) saved him. We were wondering in the forums whether people with exemptions take the quiz, so that's one question answered. Also, Tracey must feel like a dummy. Tracey got five correct answers on the quiz, but with Mark's higher score and Dennis's exemption, she got executed.
Dennis realized that he had to rethink his game, since his prime suspect was gone. Mark tried desperately in the final games to draw Dennis's suspicions, but Dennis didn't fall for it, because he (like many of us) thought that Mark was being too obvious. Dennis noticed Angie's more subtle sabotage instead. In the final game, Dennis tried to rattle Mark's focus on Angie, and succeeded. On the final quiz, Mark changed his vote from Angie to Dennis. Though he took no notes, Dennis answered seventeen out of twenty questions correctly on the final quiz, which spanned the entire season, and won the game. Wow. That's truly impressive.
Everyone gives Dennis a round of applause. Ahmad gives props to Mark for his sabotage, and Angie says that he made her Mole job easy sometimes. Ananda says that she was fooled. Obviously, Ms. First One Executed. Ahmad asks Dennis whether it was strategy when he opened the briefcase. Dennis mumbles, "Cookie puss." I guess that means no. Ahmad asks why Dennis didn't take the exemption when it was offered in the second episode. Dennis says that he was too qualified to take an exemption, and everyone laughs. Ahmad asks Tracey about giving Dennis the exemption, which saved him. Tracey says that she thought Mark was The Mole, and now it's "20/20 hindsight." Well, if it's any consolation, I think she is probably a better person than Angie, smarter, and in this episode, prettier. Some people on the forums claimed that Tracey was pregnant during this reunion, so maybe that accounts for the glow.
Ahmad reminds us that we had two returnees this season, Stephen and Corbin, and introduces a clip package highlighting their bumbling. Ahmad voice-overs that they both decided to try a different approach this season. Stephen decided to lie low, and Corbin decided to listen more. Corbin vowed not to be blinded by sex appeal, like he was with Frederique. Despite that, Corbin and Stephen were both sure that Angie wasn't The Mole. Corbin also said that he wasn't going to waste time looking for clues, and then pointed out the goldfish in the painted mural on the wall. And then he sniffed it. There's looking for clues, and then there's insanity, and I think Corbin crossed a line there. Corbin noticed that there were seven candles on the table, and that Angie had journal #7. Keep that in mind. Ahmad voice-overs that Corbin needed a coalition, and approached Stephen, but Stephen wasn't interested. Stephen looked to Tracey for a coalition, and suspected Corbin of being The Mole. Tracey said that Corbin thought it was Angie, and Stephen insisted that it wasn't. Corbin suspected pretty much everyone except Angie. Stephen said that he didn't think Angie was The Mole, and that if she was, then he sucked at this game. Ahmad voice-overs that Corbin and Stephen really do suck at this game, but that we love them anyway. Well, they're no Kathy Griffin, but they were occasionally entertaining. Corbin says he was so sure that Angie wasn't The Mole that he tried to make everyone else think that she was.
Now it's time for the clip package showing how Angie escaped detection. Angie interviews that the strategy this year was for her to be ruthless in her sabotage. In "Artifact or Fiction," Angie knew that Mark was lying, so she convinced everyone that he was telling the truth by making up her shopping-trip story. In "Piñata Party," Angie was told to be a swinger. Everyone else jumped into the swinger group, so she pretended to be sick in order to trade places with Tracey. Once she got her appointed role, Angie purposely stepped out of bounds to get disqualified. In "Exemption or Bust," Angie was told not to let the game go through, so she picked a fight with Corbin to create dissension in the ranks, and people blamed it on her temper. In "Mariachi Maze," Angie pretended to have no sense of direction so that she could confuse Dennis and make him run into the wrestlers. In "Still Life," Angie purposely made her painting unidentifiable, although Dennis did match it up, which they don't point out. It was really Tracey's and Mark's fault that they lost that game. In "Donkey Rally," Angie pretended that various words weren't in the dictionary in order to screw up her translations. In "The Graduate," Angie claims that she pretended to be dumb, and that everyone bought it since she was a supermodel. And finally, in "Treasure Code," Angie was told to go in the water, since the guys were heavier and would sink the boat. Then she just had to stall until the boat sank. Ahmad voice-overs that Angie gave a super performance. She "distracted the players with her beauty, confused them with her temper, and went undetected while sabotaging the games, keeping $195,000 from entering the pot." Well, I would take issue with the idea that Angie was solely responsible for keeping all of that money out of the pot. But she did do a great job. In that she fooled me. Okay, maybe that's not so hard.
Everyone applauds for Angie. Ahmad says that Corbin's brutal honesty can rub people the wrong way, but he wonders how Angie acted so upset during "Exemption or Bust." Angie says that it's easy to get mad at Corbin, and everyone agrees. Angie says it was really fun to lie all the time. Corbin says that Angie did a terrific job as an actress, and Angie thanks him.
Ahmad now introduces the hidden clues. They were all keyed into the number seven. Angie's journal was number 7, and she stated that it was her favorite number, and it popped up in every episode. The number of the taxi was 151, and if you add the digits together, you get 7. Ananda actually figured that out, but it didn't keep her from being executed. In the quiz that night, after Angie went skinny-dipping, there was a question about dinner clothing, and answer #7 was that The Mole wore no top. Lame. The seven candles on the dinner table were actually a clue, and Corbin pointed it out to everyone. In the third episode, Ahmad had the number 7 in his giant sombrero. In the fourth episode, the number 7 appeared in the caricature of Ahmad. In the fifth episode, the answer to the first question of "The Graduate" was 7, and the answers to the second and third questions (Antarctica and Equator) gave you the Mole's initials. The answer to the seventh question was "Mole." In the sixth episode, during the Treasure Code game, the number 7 appeared on Angie's helmet. I would like to add that, before the final episode, people in the forums found many other examples of sevens. I don't know if they were accidental, or if the producers didn't want to waste time pointing all of them out. But don't mess with the Eagle-Eyed Forum Posters.
Ahmad says that Corbin was right on with the clues, and Stephen makes a motion like, "Don't encourage him." Corbin points out that he sees the number 7 on the television screen right now with Angie's initials underneath, and that he's starting to feel like A Beautiful Mind. Ahmad points out what Corbin is talking about on the screen. Stephen yells at Ahmad for encouraging Corbin some more. Corbin points out another clue, and Stephen tells him that it'll be all right. Ahmad asks what episode it is, and Ananda says that it was Episode 7, and that there were only six last season. Corbin says that in the movie Se7en, somebody kills someone. Everyone laughs uncomfortably. Ahmad says that Dennis goes home with $222,000 and Angie goes home with the satisfaction of following almost everyone. Everyone else gets bupkes. Bye, Mole!
