It's a Juliet episode, which I assume means half of you didn't watch it. Juliet and Jack take off into the jungle to find Charlotte and Daniel, who have disappeared. Harper, Juliet's old shrink, shows up and tells her where to find Charlotte and Daniel. She also tells Juliet to kill them both before they release the gas that will kill everyone on the island. Juliet and Jack take off for the Tempest, another station on the island, where all the super-dangerous chemicals are stored. Along the way, they run into Kate, who is lying around unconscious because Charlotte clocked her when she found that Daniel was carrying a bag full of gas masks. Juliet dumps Jack and Kate and gets to the Tempest, where she finds Daniel fiddling with a computer (which is giving audible warnings about contamination and such). Daniel claims that he's not trying to release the gas -- he's trying to make it harmless. Juliet tries to stop him, but he gets to keep working when Charlotte arrives and starts beating on Juliet. Ignoring the catfight going on behind him, Daniel makes the gas inert at the very last second.

At the Barracks, Locke and Ben continue their male bonding. Ben convinces Locke to let him out of the basement in exchange for some information. That information consists of a videotape of the man allegedly in charge of the freighter. That man? Our very own Charles Widmore. Ben also gives Locke a file he has on Widmore. And he gives him the name of his man on the boat -- but we don't get to hear it. Since Ben gave him the info, Locke agrees to let him live in a house.

Finally, the flashbacks are all about Juliet and her earlier time on the island. She was initially miserable, and her misery was made worse by the thought that Harper hated her. Fortunately, Harper has an attractive and sympathetic husband in whose arms Juliet can find some comfort. That husband was Goodwin, by the way. Harper asks Juliet to stop sleeping with Goodwin because she's afraid that Ben will do something to hurt Goodwin in order to get him out of the way. Why would he do that? Why, because he thinks he owns Juliet. Back in the present, Juliet warns Jack that someday Ben will come after him because Ben knows how Juliet feels about Jack. Jack decides that’s the perfect time to kiss Juliet. Want more? The full recap starts right below!

Previously, the Boaties arrived on the island, with some purpose in mind that was not quite the same as rescuing the Lostaways. Locke took some of the Lostaways to live in the Barracks, with Ben as their prisoner. And a long, long time ago, Juliet was recruited to come live with the Others in order to solve their fertility problem.

Juliet, looking clean and not like she lives in the wild, is sitting in an office decorated in various earth tones. There are diplomas on the wall over some native pottery and a little sand garden on the table. So I'm guessing chiropractor, massage therapist, or plain old brain therapist. The door opens and a dark-haired woman enters. She introduces herself as Harper Stanhope. Which could be an allusion to an orchid. Or a polo player. Or a hotel. Or about twenty other things. By which I mean, yay writers, for giving us a character that's a character and not a clue. Harper tells Juliet that their session that day is just a meet-and-greet, and Juliet responds that she doesn't really need therapy. Harper: "How about we call it 'talking' instead of therapy?" You know, when I talk with people, they rarely sit across from me and write notes on a piece of paper. So I think we probably should call it therapy. Or performance review. Or police interrogation. So why does Juliet need therapy? She doesn't "like being treated like a celebrity." She just likes getting Botox like a celebrity. Harper tells her it's not surprising that she would be treated like a celebrity: "You're big news right now." This is the worst misdirection ever -- we're supposed to think that Juliet is big news because she's one of the Oceanic Six. Except we all know she wasn't on the plane, and thus would not likely be one of the famous survivors of the plane crash. Juliet tells Harper that being the center of attention makes her feel isolated and alone. Harper tells her to get over herself, because she'll soon realize that she's no different than anyone else "here." There's a knock at the door, and our old friend Tom walks in and tells them that Ben would like to see Juliet. Before Juliet leaves, Harper welcomes her to the island.

Juliet follows Tom out of the office. They're at the Barracks, and the people who are going about their lives all steal glances at Juliet as though she were, indeed, a celebrity. Tom tells her that Harper's skills as a therapist will soon have her crying about her daddy. Which shouldn't be that hard, in a world where there are no good fathers. Tom then points out Ben, who is standing on the porch of a bungalow with a bouquet of flowers in his hand. Ben: "Welcome to your humble abode." Is there ever an abode that isn't called humble? Juliet is surprised to hear that she's getting an entire house. Ben tells her that since she's there to help them, they want to treat her well. Not only does she get a fancy house; she's got a well-stocked fridge and a collection of opera classics. It looks like the buyer's market arrived on the island a couple of years before the real-world housing bubble burst. Juliet thinks Ben has gone to too much trouble, since she'll only be there for six months. Ben, obviously lying, tells her that they want her to feel at home.

Cut to Juliet on the beach, constructing a shelter with her own two hands. Sun sees her struggling and runs over to help her. (Vincent alert: Sun and Jin were rubbing Vincent's belly when the scene started.) Sun asks Juliet why she's going to the trouble of constructing a Gilligan-class bamboo shelter when they are just about to be rescued. Juliet, about a good a liar as Ben, tells her that she still needs a place to sleep for a night or two. Jack walks over and asks Juliet where Daniel and Charlotte have gone; it seems all their gear is missing. Juliet asks if Jack still has the satellite phone. The almost imperceptible shake of his head indicates that he doesn't. Jin speaks up and, with Sun translating, tells them that he saw them going into the jungle. Jacks why Jin didn't do anything to stop them. Jin: "You say they are friends."

Cut to Jack lighting a torch, telling Juliet, Jin, and Sun that they all have a lot of ground to cover, and that anyone who finds the trail should call out for help. If they have a lot of ground to cover, why are they the only four looking? And why is Jin bringing Vincent along on a leash? That dog is damn cute, but has he ever been any good at tracking people? Conveniently, it starts pouring as the four of them split up.

Juliet, gun in one hand and torch in the other, comes to a clearing in the jungle. We hear some mysterious whispering, and she looks around all scared. And then Harper's standing there. Harper: "Hello, Juliet. Long time no see." Credits.

When we return, it's still pouring in the jungle, and Harper is still creeping me out. Juliet asks her why she's there. Harper: "I came to deliver a message. From Ben." I hope it's a singing telegram. Harper tells Juliet that Daniel and Charlotte are headed to the Tempest, where there is some gas that could kill everyone on the island. Again. Juliet wonders why Harper doesn't do something to stop Daniel and Charlotte, and Harper tells her that Ben wants Juliet to take care of it. Juliet wonders how Ben can possibly know any of this when he's a prisoner. Harper: "Ben is exactly where he wants to be." I always knew the little ferret was a freak -- he's clearly got a thing for being tied up and beat. Juliet looks pained, and then asks, "How am I supposed to stop them?" Harper points out that a gunshot can be a very effective deterrent. Jack arrives, and Harper tells him that she's just an old chum of Juliet's who dropped by for a cup of sugar. And to tell them where to find Daniel and Charlotte. Jack looks skeptical. When the whispering starts up again, he and Juliet both turn away from Harper. When they turn back two seconds later, she's disappeared.

Juliet is in a lab, sitting on the floor and quietly weeping. She hears the sound of something falling and gets up to investigate. She finds Goodwin rooting around in the supplies; he claims he was looking for some gauze. She sees a large burn on his arm, and he claims he got it when he touched a transformer at the power station where he works. Juliet offers to take care of the wound. They make small talk while she inspects the wound and gathers supplies. We learn that a woman died that morning of the mysterious disease that kills all pregnant women. That helps explain why Juliet was crying. Also, as she tells Goodwin, she's miserable because she has nobody to talk to except for Harper, who is a total beeyotch who hates Juliet. It turns out she's also Goodwin's wife. So he should know what Juliet's talking about. There's an awkward apology, and then Juliet tells Goodwin that his wound is tended and he can leave. Before going, he tells her that she can always talk to him if she's feeling lonely. She tells him that if he'll keep her comments about Harper a secret, she won't tell anyone that he lied about the burn on his arm -- it was clearly a chemical burn, and was not caused by touching a transformer. Oh, and it's not until the end of the scene that Goodwin introduces himself.

Jack and Juliet are still hiking in the rain. I think this would be a nice time for a big musical number. Jack wants to know where they're going. Juliet tells him, "Tempest Station," and then ignores his request for more information by telling him, "It's safer for you if I don't talk about it." Has there ever been a time on this show when that statement was true? She does tell him that the Tempest is an electrical station that powers the island, but won't provide any more info. Jack persists, getting in Juliet's face and telling her that this is the perfect time for her say whatever she needs to say. Juliet: "What I need is for you to help me. Will you help me?" There are two things Jack can never say no to -- a pretty woman and a request for help. So he's definitely in. Juliet thinks they can catch Daniel and Charlotte if they hike all night.

It's morning, and the rain has stopped. Daniel and Charlotte are crouched over a stream. Daniel is holding a map in his hand. It looks like he's trying to find the way to Mordor. I'd tell him to look out for Gollum, but Charlie's already dead. Even frozen in hi-def, there's not much I can make out on the map. Lots of blank spots labeled, "unknown," and a couple of larger blocks of text that are illegible. There's one Dharma-station symbol along the western coast of the island. Daniel tells Charlotte which way he thinks they should go. ("That way," if you must know.) Daniel is worried that he won't be able to do it, but Charlotte tells him to buck up, because she's certain he can do it. As they're about to leave, a scary figure steps out of the jungle. Charlotte points her gun at the figure, who turns out to be Kate. Too bad she didn't use her time in the Barracks to find some scissors -- she's looking a little Clan Of The Cave Bear right now. A trim and some conditioner would do wonders. Daniel tells Charlotte to put down the gun, because he knows Kate. (It seems plausible to me that Kate and Charlotte might not have met when they were at the Barracks.) Charlotte seems resistant to the idea of not pointing a gun at Kate, and Kate looks like she's taking it personally. And at that odd point, we break for commercials.

When we return, Daniel is asking if Locke's crew has Miles as a prisoner. Wasn't he there when Sayid explained the swap? Did he forget, or is he just spacey? Or did the writers forget? Kate asks what the two of them are doing out in the jungle. Charlotte spins a lie about the satellite phone having run out of power and gone completely dead, explaining that they are looking for the spare batteries that were in the packs they discarded when the chopper was going down. This would be a fine story, except that Kate can see the phone in Daniel's pocket, complete with a big green light indicating that it still has at least some power. Of course, the idea that Jack or Juliet would let these two island newbies wander around in the jungle by themselves is pretty ridiculous. You know what else is ridiculous? Kate. She knows that Charlotte is lying to her, but she can't help but overplay her hand and press the point. Kate notices that notwithstanding the story about throwing the packs out of the chopper, Daniel is carrying quite a heavy bag; she asks to see what's in the bag and turns her back on Charlotte. As Kate opens the bag and finds a couple of gas masks, Charlotte clocks her on the head with the butt of her gun. Daniel looks upset. Charlotte: "What?" I think I like Charlotte.

Jack and Juliet are tromping through the jungle themselves. Jack, having waited all night to ask any questions, asks Juliet about the woman they ran into. Juliet tells Jack her name, and then tells him that Harper wasn't her friend, but her therapist. Jack: "You people have therapists?" Juliet: "It's very stressful being an Other, Jack." Jack: "She seemed kind of hostile, even for a therapist." And that's a triple play. Juliet would rather not discuss why her therapist hates her. Jack thinks it's a little unfair, since Juliet has read his file and knows all his secrets. Juliet: "Trust me Jack. You don't want to see my file."

Flashback! Juliet looks through a microscope while Ben looks on. She's looking quite beautiful, and he's looking quite smitten. She's explaining what she's learned about the disease. He looks through the microscope, letting his hand touch hers. She leaves it for about half a second before moving her hand away. As they continue to talk, Goodwin walks into the lab, calling out her name. The music gets all dangerous and stringy. Goodwin tells Ben that he found himself with an extra sandwich for lunch and was wondering if Juliet wanted it. She doesn't, and also she has an appointment with Goodwin's nasty wife in just a few minutes. Goodwin offers Ben the sandwich before heading out. These are three very good actors -- I wish the producers had let us see the tension in this scene through their acting rather than shoving it down our throats with the extremely tense music.

And now it's a therapy session -- perhaps the one mentioned in the scene, since Juliet's wearing the same blouse. Harper asks Juliet what she thinks of Ben. This is what therapy must be like in North Korea: "What do you think of the Dear Leader?" Juliet thinks Ben is very smart and intense: "He's been very good to me." Juliet: "Well of course he has. You look just like her." Juliet tries to get an explanation for that, but Harper just moves right on to noting that Juliet and Goodwin have become friendly. So friendly that Harper wants to know when they started sleeping together. Juliet acts all innocent and aggrieved, and Harper is very matter of fact in demanding some answers. Harper tells Juliet that she's seen the two of them together. Juliet gives a quiet apology, but Harper doesn't really care about that. What she does care about is that if the affair continues, Ben might do something to hurt Goodwin.

The Barracks, present day. Locke is outside. He has a big knife in his hand, and appears to be stabbing the toupee they make him wear in flashbacks. Oh, my mistake, it's a rabbit. Claire and Aaron approach. He asks her what he can do for her, and she tells him she wants to see Miles. Locke wonders why; it turns out that Claire has the crazy idea that Locke's "stab the Boaties with knives and shove live grenades in their mouths" policy might be coming off as "hostile." Lousy hippie. Claire thinks a little blonde mommy with a suddenly resurgent Australian accent might be less intimidating than a bald guy who blows things up. Locke tells her to forget about it: "You do remember what Charlie said about these people?" Claire: "All Charlie said was whose boat it isn't. Don't you want to know whose boat it is?"

In his cell, Ben is reading Valis, by Phillip K. Dick. (In sum, it's the story of the search for God, and the discovery that one particular set of religious revelations is being beamed down to Earth from an orbiting satellite.) Locke enters and hands Ben his plate. Ben's surprised to see rabbit, and Locke tells him that chickens are in short supply. Ben, fiddling with his food: "This didn't have a number on it, did it?" Locke starts to leave, but Ben is contractually required to engage in some psychological warfare, so he asks Locke, "So has the revolution begun yet?" Locke doesn't know what he's talking about. Ben blathers on about how people will start to question Locke, and then tells him, "Believe me, your people will be so angry when they realize you still don't have a plan." Locke asks if Ben has a plan. He does, don't you know. But this time Locke has the upper hand -- he asks Ben if his plan involves raising $3.2 million. Locke: "That's a lot of money." I know it doesn't read that way, but this is the funniest episode so far this season. Locke pulls a dollar out of his pocket and offers it to Ben so he can start his fundraising. I'd like to think he's been carrying that dollar around ever since he learned what Miles told Ben, just so he could rub Ben's face in it. Although maybe he was carrying it in case he ever ran into a Dharma Brand vending machine. Ben tells Locke that they can help each other, since they have a common enemy -- the man in charge of the boat. Ben gives his word that if Locke gives him some freedom and comfort, Ben will tell him everything he wants to know about the man behind the boat. Locke: "You see, there's the problem. I don't trust your word." Ben: "All right then. I guess I'll have to show you." Please keep your pants on. Commercials.

It's daylight, and Juliet emerges from the ocean like a sylph. Or Ursula Andress, with fewer curves. Goodwin is on the beach with a picnic lunch for the two of them. They lie on the beach and drink some wine. I'm not sure I want to go from here to eternity with these two. They snuggle, and Goodwin complains about having to keep their relationship a secret -- by this time, Harper's already kicked him to the couch, so he has no reason to stay in his marriage. Juliet tells him to keep his mouth shut, because Ben wouldn't like learning about their little fling. Goodwin points out that everyone knows that Ben has a crush on Juliet, but he doesn't think that's a reason to keep their love a secret. He points out that a little less than a kilometer from the beach where they are, Ben has him working with chemicals that could kill everyone on the island. Goodwin thinks Ben has more important things to do than worry about Juliet. Ah, but Ben is a multitasker. He can stockpile genocidal chemicals and stalk the woman he loves. Juliet is still worried that Ben would be upset to hear about their relationship. Goodwin: "What's Ben gonna do?"

Cut to all the Others standing around outside their bungalows and watching Oceanic 815 get torn into several pieces and crash on the island. Ben snaps into action, sending Goodwin to infiltrate the survivors from the tail section and sending Ethan to where the front part of the plane touched down. For some reason, instead of using existing footage of this scene, they reshot it so that we never see Ethan. It's weird to hear him spoken to without actually seeing him. Instead, we get bonus footage of Goodwin and Juliet exchanging worried glances, and Harper looking kind of pissed.

Cut to Juliet and Jack running through the jungle. Except that Jack is taking the lead, despite the fact that I'm betting he's never been to the Tempest and has no idea where he's going. He doesn't understand why they haven't caught up with Daniel and Charlotte, but Juliet thinks that people who could jump out of a helicopter are not to be underestimated. And then they hear some delicate feminine moaning. It's Kate, just waking up from her Charlotte-induced nap. The look on Juliet's face when she sees Jack tending to Kate is pretty reminiscent of the look she had when Harper confronted her about the affair. Juliet runs to get some water while Jack asks Kate to tell him what happened. They tell each other things we already know, and then Jack realizes that Juliet has disappeared. Based on the way he picks up his gun, he's clearly not certain if she's ditched them or been abducted.

Back at the Barracks, Locke leads Ben (hands tied in front of him) into the living room of his own house. Locke tells him not to play any kind of tricks (like, say, shooting him), but Ben tells him they don't even need to leave the room. He directs Locke to a particular painting on the wall, behind which is a safe. And I just can't believe that, knowing there was a secret passage in the house, Locke hasn't already torn the place apart to find all the secret hidey-holes. Anyway, Ben gives Locke the combination (36-15-28), and Locke opens the safe. Inside is a videotape labeled "Red Sox." Ben: "I taped over the game." Again, it's a laugh riot up in here. Locke pops the tape into the VCR. On the television, we see shaky, handheld footage of some kind of interior parking area, filmed from above (there's a railing, indicating that the camera person is on a balcony or stairway). Our old pal Charles Widmore gets out of a limo. Ben tells Locke his name, and says that he's the guy who sent the boat.

As Locke and Ben chat, we see Widmore's men throw a blindfolded prisoner (who Ben says is one of his men, and who doesn't look like anyone we've met) on the ground in front of him, where Widmore starts to kick him. Locke asks what Widmore wants with the island. Ben: "John, three months ago in Gainesville, Florida, the Virgin Mary seemed to appear in a patch of mold on the side of an old housing complex." And my grandmother once found a potato that looked like Richard Nixon. What's that got to do with anything? Oh, I see -- Ben tells Locke that five thousand people showed up to see Moldy Virgin Mary. He thinks that far more than that would want to come to the island where miracles seem to occur on a regular basis. Ben thinks that Widmore wants to exploit the island...and I guess make money off all those potential visitors? So he wants to turn it into Fantasy Island? On screen, Widmore has finished beating his prisoner. He looks up and seems to catch sight of the video camera. The picture is replaced by static. Ben walks back to the safe and pulls out a file (which was in the safe when Locke opened it, I double checked) and tells Locke that the file contains everything he knows about Widmore. Ben apologizes for not giving the file to Locke earlier: "It was the only bargaining chip I had left." For some reason, I suspect that Ben still has enough chips to buy a whole casino. Locke tells him that he still wants one piece of information -- the name of Ben's man on the boat. Ben: "All right. But you might want to sit down." No, not you. You should get up and do something, because we're about to go to commercial, and you're never going to hear Ben's answer.

Kate, Queen of Jungle, is tracking Juliet. Not only can she tell which way Juliet went, she can tell that Charlotte and Daniel went the same way about half an hour earlier. Jack asks Kate why she stayed at the Barracks a couple of episodes ago. Kate tells him that she needed to learn something, and he asks what. As we know, she wanted to know whether the people on the boat knew that Kate is a big-time fugitive. They do. End of scene.

Juliet arrives at a concrete bunker-like structure with a large octagonal door. Did she somehow wander onto the set of Battlestar Galactica? There's a control panel for the door, but it's been ruined. So Juliet pulls on a big chain and opens it up. That doesn't seem very secure. She pulls her gun and walks in, as we cut to a flashback.

An excited Ben opens the door to his house and invites Juliet in. She's carrying a basket of rolls. He tells her that he's got to get his ham out of the oven before it dries out. They make some small talk, and she notices that the table is set for two. Juliet was under the impression that Ben was inviting her to a dinner party, but it's actually a dinner date. Is that ham spiral cut? Is there a Dharma deli and butcher station somewhere on the island? Juliet's a little nonplussed by the bait-and-switch, but she manages not to be rude. As Ben serves the ham, he thanks Juliet for spending time with Zach and Emma, two of the children kidnapped from the Tailies. Juliet thinks they're wonderful kids, but isn't sure what to say when they ask about their mother in L.A. Ben tells her that they'll stop asking in time. Juliet wonders if such young children really belong on the island. Ben: "They're on the list, Juliet. Who are we to question who's on the list and who's not?" Juliet asks why Goodwin has to stay with the remaining Tailies, since they've already got all of them who were on the list. As Ben continues to carve the ham, you can see that he's imagining that it's Goodwin's head. Ben tells Juliet that Goodwin is staying with the Tailies because he's trying to convince Ben that Ana Lucia should be recruited. Ben: "He feels very passionately about her. Almost inappropriately so." Ben tells her that Goodwin will stay where he is for now, especially since he has no reason to hurry back to the Barracks any time soon.

Back in the Tempest, Juliet walks down a long corridor lit by trademark flickering fluorescent bulbs. There's an alarm going off, and a recorded voice giving warnings about various unauthorized activities. Juliet enters a large, two-story space filled with computers and chemical equipment. She's at a landing on the second floor; from where she's standing, she can see someone in a gas mask and biohazard suit doing something with a computer. The recorded voice is warning about potential contamination and breaches of storage tanks. Juliet makes her way down to the floor and walks up behind the bunny suit. She points her gun and says "hey," and Daniel turns around and gives her a very pained look. He asks her what she's doing there. Commercials.

At the Tempest, Juliet is ordering Daniel to step away from the computer, and he's refusing. He keeps working, and the computer starts counting down one minute to contamination. Juliet yanks his gas mask off, thereby dooming him to die along with everyone else if the gas is released. Daniel: "I'm not trying to release it. I'm trying to render it inert." The third season of Prison Break was enough to render me inert -- may be Daniel should try that. Juliet looks like she's trying to decide whether to believe him. And then Charlotte sneaks up behind her and hits her with...something. Let's just call it a field hockey stick. Daniel keeps working at the computer while Charlotte and Juliet fight. To their credit, there's no hair pulling, and an awful lot of serious punching. Daniel keeps working, the women keep waling, and the computer keeps warning. It's all very tense. Juliet finally wins the fight and regains her gun when there's twenty seconds left on the clock. She tells Charlotte to make Daniel stop, but Charlotte tells her that they're trying to disable the gas before Ben can use it as a weapon. Interestingly, Charlotte and her crew know that Ben used the gas as a weapon once before. Charlotte: "If you want to stop us, you're going to have to shoot us both." I'm betting shooting Daniel would be enough, as he seems to be the only one who actually knows how to render the gas inert. Juliet points her gun at Daniel, but doesn't shoot. He keeps working, the clock counts down, and at the last possible second, the gas is made safe. Juliet lowers the gun, and they all look relieved. Well, Juliet doesn't -- she looks more like she's about to experience a flashback.

And here she is, in her lab, reading. Ben enters and asks her what she's reading. It's Jack's file -- she tells Ben that Jack is a spinal surgeon, with lots of experience removing spinal tumors. Ben doesn't seem very excited, and Juliet asks him what's wrong. Ben: "I need you to come with me."

Ben and Juliet are hiking up a hill in a mountainous but utterly gorgeous part of the island. Ben tells her that the Tailies ran away from the beach after the Others' last raid, and he sent Tom and Picket to try to find them. What they found was Goodwin, with a stake through his chest. He's looking kind of discolored -- I suspect he's been there a couple of days. Juliet freaks out, and asks Ben what happened. Geez, Juliet, is it that hard to follow a link? Ben tells her there were no witnesses, so nobody really knows. Juliet: "Why are you showing me this? Why did you bring me out here?" You mean, instead of just telling you? Oh, what she really means is, instead of bringing his wife out there. Ben walks away, and Juliet accuses him of sending Goodwin to the Tailies just to get him killed. Which makes me wonder what Ethan ever did to Ben. Juliet asks Ben why he wanted Goodwin dead. Ben: "Why? You're asking me why? After everything I did to get you here, after everything I've done to keep you here? How can you possibly not understand that you're mine?" I'm not sure that turning Ben from mysteriously creepy to pathetically creepy is such a great idea.

Back at the Tempest, Juliet and Charlotte walk out of the station together. They seem to have gotten over their mutual smackdown pretty quickly. Jack and Kate emerge from the jungle, and Kate points her gun at Charlotte. Juliet explains that Charlotte and Daniel are on "our" side, but Kate is still upset about the fact that Charlotte knocked her out. Juliet should tell Kate that she already got revenge for that by beating the crap out of Charlotte, but she leaves it to Charlotte to apologize. Charlotte tells Kate that Daniel is still inside, and that she'd be happy to take Kate in and explain how they just saved the lives of everyone on the island. Kate, still pointing her gun at Charlotte, tells her to lead the way. She looks to see if Jack is going to come along, but he tells her that he's happy to take Charlotte's word for it. Hey, what do you know? That leaves Jack alone with Juliet. Jack strokes her face where she's still bleeding from the fight. She tells him that Ben told her to kill Daniel and Charlotte. He doesn't get how Ben can tell her anything, since he's a prisoner. Juliet doesn't have an answer to that, but she points out that he clearly knew how to find her and how to find Charlotte and Daniel. Juliet: "These people came here to wage war against Ben. And Ben's gonna win, Jack. And when he does, you don't want to be anywhere near me." Jack asks why that is, and she tells him, "Because he thinks that I'm his. And he knows how I feel about you." You mean Juliet has feelings? Jack leans in and kisses her. Jack: "He knows where to find me."
