But there are some dirty cops who will do anything to stop the meet from taking place. Anything... including murder.
Chance quickly establishes the identity of the bad guys via the ancient and time-honored technique of having a fistfight in a speeding car. Once both bad guys have gone bouncing down the road, he and Allison have to deal with the tracking device in her stomach (it's not a ticking time bomb, for some reason) and find Whitey Doyle's secret Bad Cop Ledger. And then it turns out that Whitey is Allison's father!
One stolen ambulance later, everything is fine. Except possibly for the dead guys. Also, I think Guerrero may have killed someone in the back room of a grungy out-side-the-law electronics store. Oh, that Guerrero!

As we ponder this, a car driven by a scary-looking bald guy rolls onto a bridge. The guy in the back seat is doing the voiceover duties. The bald guy meets with a blonde lady, who says that the shadowy guy in the back of the car has 60 seconds to come forward with evidence. She tells us that the bald guy is Frank Murphy, an enforcer for the Westland Gang. Frank walks back toward the car, then pulls out a gun. Black-clad gunmen jump out of the bushes and open fire. Both cars flee, although Murphy takes a bullet. The blond lady's car knocks aside one of the ninjas. Wham! Take that, ninja.
At the Firm, the woman explains the situation to Winston. Whoever the gunmen were, they're not going away. Her apartment has been broken into and her email has been hacked. So someone knew about the meet. She's been assigned a police detail, but she wants someone who will root out the problem. Winston refers to Chance as his "security specialist," and then goes to yell at him for sitting on a couch watching television instead of being at the meeting. Man, Chance, if you're going to skip meetings, you should do it in a way that you can't be easily tracked down. He was just in the room, watching television and feeding Chinese food to the dog.
The woman's name is Allison Russo. Chance comes down to meet with her. Winston says that he's very qualified in personal security and threat assessment. She looks unconvinced, because apparently guys with Chinese food all over their shirts aren't all that impressive. Winston explains the standard gimmick (make the client look vulnerable to lure the assassins out into the open) and Chance demands to know who the confidential informant was. She looks dubious, but he bullies her into admitting that it's Whitey Doyle. Winston expositions that Whitey used to be in charge of the Westland Gang, but vanished ten years ago. Chance wants to know why she was picked out of all the lawyers at her office to meet with him. Allison says that she's the one going after Doyle's old soldiers. In this scene, Chance also mentioned that he doesn't like loose ends. I'll bring that up again at the end.
Credits. I think it's weird that the show starts with a "Human Target" title screen, then has a scene or two, then we get a credits sequence followed by a second title screen.
Chance's plan is to set up another meet with Whitey Doyle, which should lure out the gunmen again. Allison does not like the idea of being made an obvious target, which means that she wasn't listening when Winston told her about the way the Firm works.
