Previously on Felicity: Sean broke up with Meghan because he thinks he has a shot with Julie. Ben and Felicity made out, but Felicity stopped and said that she came there for Noel, so Ben walked out. I guess the editors assume that everyone already knows about the time-travel thing at this point.
Felicity walks into Organic Chemistry class. She pauses in the doorway, unsure of how to talk to Ben, since the last time she saw him, they were sucking face. Felicity sits down and Ben doesn't even look up, but comments, "This lab is brutal." What is going on with Ben's hair? It's just...awful. It's, like, feathered and really long. Maybe they're trying to say that Ben's going to pot because he's so upset about his love life. I might be giving the writers a little too much credit there. Felicity awkwardly brings up the make-out session, but Ben tells her not to worry about it, because it's fine. Felicity is taken aback. Ben says that, at first, he was pretty pissed, but it's okay, because he gets it. Felicity asks what he means. Ben smiles at her and says, "That you're not over me." Felicity looks shocked and confused and asks what he means. Ben says, "It just seems pretty clear that you still want me." Okay, Scott Speedman has so got the goods. I just had to turn on the fan in my office from the heat generated from that one line. Felicity says that she's with Noel now. Ben gives her a look and asks if that's why she was all over him; he adds that she knows she made a mistake, but just can't admit it yet. Felicity looks annoyed at what he's suggesting, and says that she wasn't all over him, and stammers that she was having a confusing time last week. Ben laughs that it must be confusing for her to fight all these feelings. Felicity scoffs at the suggestion that she's fighting any feelings. Ben tells her that she's in denial, and adds, "Eventually, you're going to realize that you want me back, and I just hope for your sake that when you do, it's not too late." Which is nearly the same thing that Felicity said to Ben at the beginning of the second season when he was flipping out about the fact that she might be in love with him after their summer together. Cool. Felicity recoils in surprise and then says that she's going to find another lab partner. Ben wishes her luck. Felicity walks off and sits down a few rows back. Ben turns and gives her another smoldering look. Felicity looks rattled. This new version of Ben reminds me of the Season One finale version of Ben, who was trying to convince Felicity to drive across the country with him.
Sean is unpacking groceries when Ben walks in and starts looking for a snack. Sean tells him not to touch any of the low-fat stuff, because it's all for Julie. Because, you know, we women don't like to eat any yucky full-flavored foods. Ben comments that it must be getting serious if Sean is shopping for Julie now. Sean says that Julie arrives today; they're having dinner tonight, going to the Botanical Gardens tomorrow, and he's getting tickets to a concert by Julie's favorite band, Tart. If you looked up "trying too hard" in the dictionary, Sean's picture would be right there. Ben advises Sean to slow down. Sean says that Julie is coming all the way from Woodstock to see him. Ben asks whether they've talked about their relationship at all. Sean says that he didn't want to do it over the phone. Ben thinks that Sean should "keep [his] hopes realistic," since he hasn't seen Julie in a long time. Wow, Ben could have been a little more tactful there, although I guess it's better for Sean to get upset now than to get his heart broken later. Meghan walks in and asks for her stuff. Sean points it out. Meghan says that she'll kill Sean if any of her underwear is missing. Sean stops her and apologizes again, but says that he needs to see the thing with Julie through. Meghan points to her face and says, "See this? This is me, not caring. Couldn't be more over you." Meghan walks to the door, then stops and tosses Sean her keys and suggests that he give them to Julie, "not that [they] have a chance in hell."
Noel and Felicity look at the classifieds. Noel says that it's impossible to find a studio apartment in New York City for under $1200. Which is one of the many reasons I don't live in New York City. Felicity is sure that Noel will find a place. Felicity taps her pencil on the paper annoyingly and Noel asks if she's doing Morse Code. Ah, trouble in paradise. Felicity apologizes and starts to stay something, but then stops herself. They go back to their papers, and then Felicity blurts, "It's just Ben. He was such a jerk on O-Chem today." Noel asks what Ben did. Felicity considers what she should tell him, and then says that it's not worth getting into. Noel asks if she's sure, and Felicity says that she is, then moves over to him and gives him a kiss. Felicity and Noel start looking at the paper, and Felicity says that Noel will definitely need a roommate. Noel tells her to savor university housing. Felicity stares at Noel lovingly, and he asks what she's doing. Felicity says that she just loves being with him, and Noel returns the compliment. They stare at each other for a minute, and then Noel says that he wishes he were with her and already had an apartment.
Ben answers the door to find...squeaky Julie. Seriously, the first ten lines out of her mouth are delivered in a high-pitched squeal. They hug. Julie says that it's weird to be back, but that the loft looks exactly the same. Julie squeaks that she hears that Ben is pre-med now, and that it's "cute." Way to denigrate his life's ambition, Ms. Struggling Musician. Maybe I should put the word "musician" in quotation marks. Julie asks Ben about Felicity, and he admits that they broke up. Ben tells Julie that Sean will be right back, and that it's cool that they are hanging out. Julie says that Sean is "a sweetie" and "a good friend." That's the death knell right there. Julie tells Ben that she has an audition for a record label. Which one -- Rat Face Records? Ben congratulates her, but seems surprised. Julie asks what that means. Ben says that Sean is excited to see her, and seemed to have the impressions that they.... Ben trails off. Julie says that Sean knew she was coming for an audition. Ben says that he must have misunderstood. In all of my cracks about Julie's voice, I didn't even notice the disaster that is her pink lacy cut-out shirt. Julie asks if Sean is still with Meghan, and Ben says that Sean broke up with her. Julie groans and says that this is bad, and that she feels stupid. Ben suggests that she talk to him. Julie agrees to do that, and then says that she went away for a year and everything fell apart. Ben tells Julie that Felicity is with Noel now. Julie points out that the last time Noel and Felicity were together, Julie and Ben were together, too. Ben remembers that. I remember that -- although I wish that I didn't. Ben tosses his way-too-fluffy hair and says that he has to get to work. Julie suggests that they hang out together. Ben hesitates, and then tells her to come to Dean & Deluca at 6 PM. Julie bites her lips and giggles. I hate her.
Oh, no. It just got worse. Julie is playing her guitar when Sean walks in with flowers and says he's bummed that he wasn't there to greet her in person. Sean busts out the tickets to see Tart. Julie seems less than enthused, and then asks if he knows that she came to town for an audition. Sean confirms that he does. Julie says that Ben got a different impression. Sean looks pissed, and asks what Ben said. Julie says that she knows Sean and Meghan broke up. Sean dismisses that, saying that it was a long time coming. Julie asks if it happened recently. Sean admits that it did. Julie starts to ask whether it had anything to do with her, but stops herself, saying that it's none of her business. Sean starts stammering that the flowers are for him, because he loves flowers. Things get more and more uncomfortable, and Julie says that the flowers are beautiful. She looks around and says that maybe she should stay with Felicity. Sean starts to protest, and then says that she would probably have a lot more fun over there. He also tells her to use the tickets herself, because he can't really go to the concert, and he doesn't even like the band. Julie asks whether he's sure, and Sean dismissively says that he's positive. Julie says that they should still hang out before she leaves. Sean's feelings are clearly hurt, and he says that she's really busy, and so is he, so maybe they could have coffee together if she has time. Julie realizes that anything else she says is just going to make it worse, so she walks away. Sean looks after her and shakes his head sadly.
At Dean & Deluca, Felicity struggles with a big box of supplies in the back room. Ben walks in and asks if she wants a hand, but Felicity refuses his help. Ben walks over and puts the box on the shelf for her, then asks how things are with Noel, and whether they are still together. Felicity says that they are still together with an air of "I can't believe you're even asking." Ben says that he feels bad, because it's going to be really hard for Noel when Felicity blows him off again. Felicity says that she's not going to, and then says that Noel is great because he's everything Ben is not. She adds, "He's kind, he's funny, and he makes me happy." Ben asks Felicity whether she told Noel about their "little study session." Felicity says that she hasn't, and asks why she would, since it didn't mean anything. Felicity walks back out front, and Ben follows, saying, "Really? It seemed like you were kinda into me." Felicity tries to pick up some cups, but she's so flustered that she drops half of them on the ground as she tells Ben, "Maybe this whole self-confident act had some sort of appeal freshman year, but now it's just sort of pathetic." Ben laughs. Throughout this scene, it seems like Keri Russell and Scott Speedman are just having way too good a time. Ben chuckles and sarcastically says that he can see that he's having zero effect on her. Felicity says that kissing him was about as exciting as kissing her arm. Ben just looks at her like, "Uh huh." Felicity holds up her arm and kisses it a few times, then comments, "Actually, no. That was a thousand times more exciting." Just then Noel walks in. Felicity acts all excited to see him, but is clearly feeling busted. Ben walks right up to the counter with her to ask how Noel is doing. Noel looks puzzled at Ben's enthusiasm and then tells Felicity that he got an application to an apartment in the East Village. Felicity is excited, and Ben offers to get Noel a drink. Noel says he'll have a coffee and Ben shouts, "Regular coffee!" and claps his hands. Ben is just cracking me up. I'm so glad that the writers gave Scott Speedman an opportunity to do something besides whisper and get girls pregnant. Because that right there was probably my favorite scene of the entire season.
Felicity and Noel sit down at a table and discuss the apartment. Noel says that he could really see them hanging out there together. Ben walks over and hands Noel a "cup of coffee" which is clearly just an empty cup, like, couldn't they fill it with water or something to make it more realistic? Noel says that he probably won't get the apartment, and Felicity says that he definitely will. Ben adds, "Yeah, you're definitely going to get it. Definitely." Noel is clearly uncomfortable, so he starts to say that Ben can hang out there, too. Felicity is thrilled to see Julie walk in, if only to rescue her from this hellish moment. Hugs are exchanged. Felicity says that she got Julie's message, and that it should be fine, but that she has to run it by Meghan. Is Elena dead again? Why doesn't she get a say in it? Noel asks why Julie is there, and Ben says that she's auditioning for a record company. Everyone expresses excitement about that. Ben asks Julie if they should go. Felicity looks surprised, and Ben asks if she minds closing up for him. Felicity stammers that it's fine, and Ben and Julie leave. As soon as they're out the door, Felicity turns to Noel and asks if it's her, or if Ben is being weird. Noel agrees. Felicity says that it doesn't matter, and that she's glad that he's getting his own place. Noel agrees. I feel like I should make a macro for "Noel agrees," but since there's only one episode left, it's probably not worth it.
Noel and Felicity play Boggle in Felicity's room. Okay, they're a couple who have been together for, like, a week, and they spend their spare time playing Boggle? While it's a nice piece of continuity, I think it also speaks to the problem in their relationship: lack of sexual chemistry. And look at that -- when they were playing the game before, I said that there could not be a less sexy board game. At least I'm consistent. And speaking of consistency, the last time we saw them playing Boggle was also at a point when Felicity and Julie were fighting over Ben. Anyway, Noel lists off his words. Felicity asks if it's her turn. Noel tells her not to read her words really slowly, because it drives him nuts. Felicity says that she just wants to be appreciated for her talents. Noel says that he does appreciate her talents, like, could there be a cheesier line? They start kissing, but are interrupted by Julie's arrival. She walks in, and Felicity and Noel are way too chipper. Julie says that she and Ben had Chinese, and that she's really tired and just wants to go to bed. Felicity offers to come and get her set up, and tells Noel to shake the letters again. So she's not even going to read off her words? Felicity tells Noel not to cheat. Noel says that he never cheats, but as soon as Felicity is out of the room, he seems to be arranging the letters to his liking.
Felicity and Julie set up a mattress on the floor. Felicity tells Julie that it's good to see her, and that she looks great. Julie returns the compliment, saying that Felicity's hair is getting really long. Heh. Julie can't believe that Felicity still lives with Meghan. Felicity says that she doesn't believe it, either. Julie asks if it's actually by choice. Felicity says that Meghan is a really good friend, adding, "Who knew?" The absence of Elena is getting even more mysterious. She and Julie were fairly good friends. Where is she? Felicity asks what it's like being back in the city, and Julie says that she and Ben walked everywhere, and that it was great. Julie adds that Ben talked about Felicity a lot. Felicity says she's sorry Julie had to listen to that. Julie reminds Felicity that she and Ben went out for a long time. Felicity says that Ben needs to accept the fact that they are over. Julie says that Felicity seems pretty clear about that, and Felicity says that she is. Julie says that she had a really good time with Ben, and asks Felicity if it would bother her if she spent more time with him. Dude! The body's not even cold yet! I mean, clearly Felicity has no right to tell Julie that it would bother her, but Julie could wait a few weeks or something. Felicity's face freezes. Julie says that it seems like it would bother her. Felicity says that she and Ben broke up kind of suddenly. Julie asks what happened. Felicity thinks it over, and then says that it's complicated, but she just decided that Ben wasn't the one for her, and that Noel might be. Julie smiles and says she thinks that Felicity and Noel are great together. Felicity agrees, and then says that Julie should do whatever makes her happy, which is another nice parallel to that first-season episode linked above. Felicity thanks Julie for checking, and they hug. Julie leaves to go wash her face. Felicity starts putting pillowcases on the pillows, and looks like she's going to throw up.
Felicity walks back into her room, where Noel waits. Noel comments that her bed has about the same square footage as his potential apartment. Felicity gets into bed and they snuggle. Noel asks how Julie is, and Felicity says she's fine. Noel realizes that Felicity is bothered by something. Felicity whispers that Julie is "kind of into Ben, which is fine," but that she's worried about Julie. Noel thinks that Julie can take care of herself. Felicity says that Ben has been acting like a jerk, which Noel even noticed, and that she knows this is going to sound crazy and she doesn't want Noel to take it the wrong way. Noel is like, "Ooooookay." Felicity says that she thinks Ben is trying to make Felicity jealous with Julie. Noel asks if Ben would really do that, since he's known Julie so long. Felicity points out that it's weird that suddenly they're hooking up. Noel reminds her that is what happened between Felicity and him. Felicity says she knows, but that she would hate to see Julie get hurt, and asks if she should talk to Julie. Noel wisely says that it wouldn't be a good idea, then adds that he wants to discuss something with Felicity. Noel nervously says that he needs a roommate, and he was wondering if he gets the apartment...he kind of trails off, and Felicity asks, "Do you want to move in together?" Noel keeps babbling, but Felicity is clearly pleased, and says that she would love to move in with him. Felicity says that it's "really fast and sudden," but she doesn't see why they should wait. They start making out. Noel adds that the apartment is really small, but Felicity says that she doesn't care.
Ben and Julie walk down the street. Julie is headed to her audition. Ben assures her that she'll do great, because she's really talented. Even Scott Speedman isn't a good enough actor to sell that line. Julie asks whether Sean has mentioned that she dissed him, because she feels bad. Ben says that Sean is fine, and that he's been wondering about Julie for a long time, so it's good to have it resolved either way. They arrive at Julie's audition spot. Julie babbles that she wants to ask Ben something. She says that she has two tickets to a concert and was wondering if he'd like to go. Dude, that is so wrong. She's using the tickets Sean gave her to go out with Ben, one of his best friends? How can she not realize how wrong that is? Ben asks if it's like a date. Julie says that it could be. Ben agrees to go. Julie goes up to her audition, and Ben smiles before walking away.
Ben talks to Sean, who says that Ben warned him about Julie. Ben says he needs to talk about Julie. Sean says that he's clear on the whole thing. Ben says there's something else; he's going out with Julie tonight. Sean is stunned. Ben says that it just sort of happened. Sean is hurt, and adds, "Good work. And fast." Ben asks what he's talking about. Sean says that Ben was telling him not to get his hopes up, and implies that Ben only did that so that he could swoop in himself. Ben says it wasn't like that. Sean says, "I confided in you, and this is how you repay me?" Ben continues to protest that he was just trying to protect Sean from getting hurt, and Sean says, "You should be protecting me from friends like you!" Ben just makes it worse by saying that they're going to a concert. Sean asks if it's the Tart concert, and then reveals that Julie is taking Ben on a date with his tickets. I don't see how this is Ben's fault. Sean tells Ben to get out of the loft. Ben asks if Sean is serious. Sean says he isn't, but only because he needs Ben's rent money. Ben says that Sean just has to say the word, and he'll call off the date. Sean says, with tears in his eyes, that it's too late and the damage is done, and that he wants his tickets back.
Felicity walks into her apartment and finds Meghan crying on the couch. Felicity asks if Meghan is crying and Meghan says disgustedly, "No! I was just pulling hairs out of my nose and it makes your eyes water." Ah, yes. Pulling nose hair. Wait, what? Meghan continues to eat some Ben & Jerry's, the breakup food of choice for women everywhere. Felicity asks, if Meghan were crying, would it have been because of Sean? Meghan says that she wasn't, and that Sean's an ass. Meghan adds that she was going to dump him anyway, because it's senior year and there are tons of guys out there: "Better guys. Thinner guys." Aw. Meghan's voice cracks on that last one, as if she just loves Sean's pudgy self. Meghan announces that, starting tonight, she's on the prowl. Julie walks in and says hello to Meghan, who flounces off. Julie asks Felicity if she should stay somewhere else. Felicity says that Meghan doesn't blame Julie, because Julie would know it if she did. Felicity asks about Julie's audition. Julie says that it went well. Felicity suggests that they go out and celebrate. Julie says she would, but that she's going out with Ben. Felicity tries not to look surprised or upset as she asks whether that whole thing is working out. Julie asks Felicity again if she's okay with it, and Felicity unconvincingly insists that it's fine. I know it's not Julie's job to read Felicity's mind, but you'd think she would be a little more able to read her friend's moods.
Ben and his new lab partner work on an experiment. Felicity walks in and asks Ben if she can talk to him. Ben walks over and apologizes that he got a new lab partner, adding that "he's really smart." Felicity says that it's about him and Julie. Ben reminds Felicity that he warned her he wouldn't be around forever. Felicity tells him that he's crazy. Ben laughs and says that Felicity obviously can't deal with it. Felicity says that she can, but that she won't let him use her friends to get back at her. Ben smiles. Felicity adds, "I mean, if that's what you're doing." Ben chuckles. Felicity says, "Well, are you? Because if you are, that's just a disgusting thing to do." Ben says that he never knew Felicity was such a jealous person. Felicity says that she's not jealous; she's just worried about Julie, and two days ago, Ben was talking about wanting to get back together with Felicity. Ben corrects her: "No, I was saying that you wanted to get back together with me. Not the other way around." Felicity says that she's not going to argue, but tells Ben not to do anything to hurt Julie. Ben says that he won't, because he likes Julie, but adds that if Felicity's really worried, she can come out with them tonight. Felicity says that she's not going out with them. Ben says that if Felicity's over him and just concerned about Julie, it shouldn't be a problem. Felicity tells Ben that he's a jerk. Ben adds, "You can bring Noel. Unless you think it would be too weird for him." Man, even with goofy hair, three days of stubble, and safety goggles, Scott Speedman is still hot. Felicity defiantly says that Noel would be fine with it. Ben says that it's a double date, then. They both walk back to their seats, but keep bumping into each other at every turn. This scene was blocked really well.
Noel tells Felicity that he got the apartment. They toast their new residence with club soda. Felicity asks if he signed the lease, and Noel says that he wanted her to see the place first. Felicity is sure that she'll love it. Noel says that they loaned him a key, so they can go and see it tonight. Felicity says that she can't tonight. She hems and haws, and then tells Noel that she did something stupid and said that they would double-date with Ben and Julie. Noel doesn't understand, since Felicity thinks that Ben is just using Julie. Felicity says that she doesn't really understand how it happened either, but that at least they can protect Julie. Noel asks if Felicity thinks this is a good idea, and Felicity says that it's not. So call and cancel! Noel realizes that they are "the buffer couple." Felicity apologizes, but Noel says that it's okay, because it's just one night.
Meghan has a drink at Epstein Bar. A guy walks up and asks, "Is this seat taken?" Meghan asks if he's kidding, and if he's going to follow up with "Come here often?" The guy looks around and just walks away. Hee! Another voice says, "This seat taken?" Meghan is annoyed, but then discovers that Sean is doing the asking. And then is still annoyed, but for a different reason. Meghan asks Sean if he's stalking her. Sean says that he just came for a beer. Meghan asks where Julie is, and Sean admits that it didn't work out. Meghan asks if she's supposed to feel sorry for him. Sean says that he's going to leave, but Meghan tells him to wait. Sean hesitates. Meghan blurts, "Julie's an idiot." Sean sits down and says that he's sorry, and that he doesn't know what he was thinking, and that Julie was just a fantasy. Meghan says that he's an even bigger idiot than Julie if he thinks that will make her feel better. Sean offers to make it up to Meghan by taking her to the Tart concert. Meghan thinks Tart blows. Sean points out that it's better than hanging out at the bar and getting hit on by losers. Meghan agrees to go, but only because it's free and not because she wants to hang out with Sean. She walks off and orders Sean to pay for her drink. He does. He should. I can't believe she's considering taking him back. It would be one thing if Julie didn't turn him down yet, and he realized his mistake. But this way, it makes it out like he's only coming back because Julie won't have him. And Meghan's better than that.
Noel, Felicity, Julie, and Ben eat at an Indian restaurant. Felicity asks Julie when she'll hear about the record deal. Julie says that she hopes to hear tomorrow. Noel asks if she'll move back to the city if she gets it. Julie says she will, but she hears it's really hard to find a place right now. Has it ever been easy to find an apartment in New York City? Noel says that he just found an apartment. Ben snaps to attention and asks, "Oh, you got that apartment?" Noel says yes, and then looks to Felicity to see if it's okay to spill the beans on their cohabitation. Felicity nervously says that they're going to be living together. Julie congratulates them. Ben says, "Great. That's great. Remember our apartment? That didn't really work out, did it?" And with that, Ben crosses the line from mildly amusing to big jerk. Noel says that he doesn't even remember Felicity and Ben living together, and Felicity says that it only lasted a day. Ben asks Felicity about the "dancer who lived upstairs, or downstairs," and pretends that he can't remember her name. Felicity looks shocked that Ben is continuing this line of conversation and says that she doesn't remember. Ben reminds Felicity that the dancer took a bath in their bathtub, and that Felicity was "so jealous." Ben keeps asking Felicity what the dancer's name was, and Felicity says, "Brigitte Pasterchek." Ben says that Felicity was so worried that he would cheat on her, "which is kind of ironic when you think about how things turned out, right?" Felicity says nothing. Julie blinks. Felicity excuses herself and walks away. Noel asks Ben what his problem is. Ben says he doesn't have a problem with Noel, and leaves to go talk to Felicity.
Ben and Felicity meet up in a hallway outside the dining room. Ben immediately apologizes for what he said and asks Felicity to come back to the table. Felicity asks if she should come back so that he can torture her some more. Ben blurts, "Are you serious? You think this is torture? Try coming home from a long summer, having one lousy day, and finding out that your girlfriend has slept with your roommate. That is torture." Felicity pauses to let another patron walk by and then says that Ben is using Julie to get back at her. Ben asks if that's what Felicity's doing with Noel. Felicity says that she's not. Ben asks what it is, then, and why it all happened so fast. Felicity sighs and then says that Ben did things that made it easy. Ben asks what he did, since they only had one fight about a printer. Felicity says that it was so much more than that. Ben begs Felicity to tell him what it's about. Felicity shakes her head and says that Ben wouldn't understand. Ben says that she's right, and that he doesn't understand at all. He stares at her for a minute, and then turns and leaves. Felicity looks upset, but then follows Ben back to the table. When she returns, everyone is ready to go. Julie shows once again that she has no talent for discerning people's moods when she decides to prolong the agony by inviting Felicity and Noel back to the loft to hear her music. First of all, like they want to continue to hang out with Ben and Julie. And second of all, like they want to hear Julie's music. Ben says that it sounds great. Felicity says there's nothing she'd like to do more. Ben and Julie walk off. Noel asks what's going on, and Felicity says that they just need to get it over with. This was the one part of the episode that rang false for me; why would Felicity and Noel go to the loft? It seemed like after that argument in the hallway, Felicity was through with trying to stop Ben and Julie from being together, because she felt so bad for Ben. But the storyline dictates that the four of them have to be together, so off they go.
Sean and Meghan return from the Tart concert. Sean is all fired up, and yelling about how great the band was. Meghan tells him to stop screaming, explaining that he's been deafened by the loud music. Sean says in a regular-volume voice that he had a really great time tonight, and he guesses that Meghan did, too. Meghan asks whether he thinks that because she came back to the loft with him. Sean does. Meghan says that she's "just hoping to find Julie and Ben, shirtless and tangled up on the couch." Ouch! Don't give me such a scary visual time. Sean says that if that happened, he would be fine with it, because Julie was just "a question that [he] needed answered." Sean explains that it was just "a quarter-life crisis," and that he should have just bought a sports car and called it a day. Meghan asks Sean whether he's past his crisis, and not still pining for Julie. Sean says that he's finally over her. Meghan says, "'Finally'? Okay, so you wanted her the whole time you were with me?" Sean denies it as they walk into the loft.
Sean and Meghan find Julie singing (no!) and the others sitting around listening. Meghan asks what's going on, and everyone shushes her. Meghan yells, "Oh, so we can't talk now, all of a sudden?" Julie stops playing. Ben spins a beer bottle on the table. Meghan asks if they're playing musical Spin the Bottle, and comments that they're "even more incestuous than [she] thought." Heh. Ben says that they were listening to Julie. Meghan sits down, removes her coat, and asks if they can play Spin the Bottle. Felicity says that they weren't playing Spin the Bottle, and Meghan asks why not. Sean says that it's because they're not in junior high. Meghan tells Sean that this might be his big chance, and Sean denies that he needs one. Meghan says that he would take one if he had one, and Sean denies it. Meghan says they'll see about that and spins the bottle. Ben looks amused. Felicity looks nervous.
The bottle ends up pointing at Ben. Everyone looks at Felicity, who says, "Whoa, are you ser-- hey, hey, don't look at me." Meghan stands up, and Ben says that he never agreed to play. Meghan tells him to relax and enjoy it, and lays a big wet one on his lips. Sean sighs. Felicity looks horrified. Ben chuckles, and Meghan adds, "You're welcome." Meghan announces that it's Ben's turn, and threatens to go again if he won't. Ben says that he'll do it, and spins the bottle. It points at Felicity, who can't believe this is happening. Meghan snipes, "None of it would be if it wasn't for your little return trip. In fact, Julie wouldn't even be here." Julie asks what Meghan is talking about, and Felicity says that she doesn't want to get into it, and she doesn't want to play this stupid game. Meghan tells Felicity that she's a big baby, and that this is her last "Get Out of Jail Free" card. Meghan orders Ben to spin again, and he does so with determination. Of course, it points at Felicity again, who says that it's a nightmare. Meghan asks Felicity what she's scared of, and points out that seventh-graders do this all the time. Noel looks disgusted. Felicity glances around frantically and then says that they should just get it over with. Felicity and Ben stand up. Ben rolls up his sleeves in preparation. Meghan reminds them about the five-second rule -- they have to kiss for five seconds. Meghan is evil. I love it. Ben smiles at Felicity. Oh, my God. My television just melted. Hold on while I go and buy another one. Okay, I'm back. Ben moves in for the kiss. Noel watches uneasily. Felicity seems to enjoy the kiss a little bit at first, but then remembers where she is and tries to make it look like she just happens to be standing there attached to Ben's lips, but that she's definitely not enjoying it. Noel heaves a big sigh, and Meghan yells that this is fun, and orders Julie to take a turn. She adds, "Sean, stop praying so loud." Julie spins, and the bottle points at Ben. Felicity looks upset. Julie and Ben look way too happy about it, and they start making out. Meghan looks at Sean, who is staring at them, and sighs. Okay, this is taking way more than five seconds. The camera pans over to Felicity, who is pretending not to watch, but looks like she just swallowed a worm. Noel notices the look on Felicity's face. Ben and Julie part, and Ben looks over to see Felicity's reaction. She looks away. Noel gets up and walks out. Felicity starts to stop him, but he's already gone. Ben looks a little guilty.
