So Cohesive, It's Tacky

It's morning at 505... somewhere. 5th Avenue? 6th? I'm not sure. Cindy says that she's sad for her partner Golnessa's elimination, but maybe Cindy isn't good at seeming like she actually feels what she's saying. I don't have any reason to think that she's lying, except that she just doesn't sound sad at all. She says that she wants to make Golnessa proud. That sounded a little more believable. Excuse me, everyone, please make room for my freaking mondo gavel. Intonation Court is in session.

Dominique is still ashamed of her work from the challenge. She reckons she would have gone home had her team lost. On the balcony of their apartment, Calvin says she needs to focus. She admits to having a crush on David. Well, thank goodness that mystery is over. Calvin interviews that girls in love are difficult. And in this case, he's worried about his place being jeopardized by Dominique being distracted.

They get the message from the show: they are to take a train to New Jersey. Iman says to not pack anything just yet. Jeffrey says the House of Emerald will need intervention if they lose again.

Iman meets them in a train station, arguably the first train station that Iman has been in during this century. She is very pissed off about it. She is standing beside the same number of suitcases as there are designers. She says that people are in a rush when they travel and often lose things. They are currently in a terminal has one of the most diverse lost and found collections. The challenge is to create weekend getaway looks from lost and found items. They will have to put everything in one of those suitcases. That is gross. First thought? Bedbugs.

Jeffrey says he's used thrift store items in his work for years, so he's feeling pretty good about things. Iman says that they will be presenting their work at a fashion show the day. Everyone is freaked out. Also, one more thing -- in two of the rolling suitcases, there are fabrics of colors that represent both Nami(blue) and Emerald(green, duh). The designers that find the swatches will switch teams. Calvin is worried, because he says that he gets on with Cindy and Jeffrey like oil and water. [That good, huh? - Zach] Everyone grabs a bag. Jeffrey gets the blue fabric, and he's upset. So is Calvin.

David gets the green swatch, which means that love just can't exist in this world. He's disappointed about leaving Dominique. He's so cute that I feel like he's wearing an actual mask.

It's lost and found time. Cesar tells everyone in the House of Nami to grab stuff that screams resort wear. Calvin says it all stinks, which was totally my fear. He doesn't want to touch it. Dominique gets a lot of umbrellas, but doesn't know what she's doing with them

Iman comes in at the end of time. She says one more thing and everyone groans -- each house is responsible for one extra look. "What are you waiting for? Let's go." Well, clearly they were waiting for her to finish talking. They're not going to just trample a supermodel.

At the workroom, Cindy reveals that she has never been to the Hamptons. That's just WILD. Cesar is very driving with his vision, and Cindy has a hard time getting through to him with ideas of her own.

Over at Nami, Jeffrey tells Calvin to settle down. Laura Brown comes in. She's checking the progress, instead of Isaac. She says that she's coming as an editor. She asks Emerald what kind of woman they're designing for. Laura deduces that Cesar's girl is a lush. She tells David his tailoring must be polished. They present a sketch of a swimsuit with a caftan for their extra look. They have blue and orange swatches, and she says go with blue, not orange because so few women look good in it. Cesar says non-white peeps go to the Hamptons, too, and non-whites look better in orange. Okay, seriously, there are, like, two non-white people in the Hamptons. I feel non-white in the Hamptons, it's so white.

Eduardo tells Laura that he's making leather pants, and she's happy about the trousers. He wanted to do something different, because... well, he was told to do something different. Dominique wants to make a shift dress out of those umbrellas. Laura is not sure it will feel good to wear, but likes that she's being bold.

David is using glasses and a hat. So many props. He says he explores at the beach and loves to be free, which makes me think one word, really: NAKED. You thought it, too. Stop judging. Cesar is getting a little bitchy with Cindy. He shows a look to her, and she doesn't like it. He says it's African and great and perfect. David says it's aggressive, which is a good word for it.

Calvin still smells the clothes, even though they've been washed, and that is disgusting. Dominique seems like she likes her dress. Calvin is using a men's shirt and a belt. And, boom, his look is complete. Eduardo asks him to add a liner, but he won't. Dominique talks about how much she likes her piece, and David says to her that she's showing off for her crush. They're getting so close! Jeffrey says that she can crush as long as it doesn't affect her work. Jeffrey is deconstructing a shiny jacket.

David is using evermore props. Cindy found a cute skirt, but it's old and ripping easily. She feels that she can't speak to Cesar. He interviews that he should get paid for babysitting and teaching. Bitchy much?

Dominique tries on Eduardo's leather pants and giggles about how good her butt looks. It looks fantastic. Calvin says he was 18 when he decided to be a designer. He says he went to K-Mart and got a sewing machine. He's working on the extra look. Dominique hates it. He says they have to trust his instinct and taste, because he works faster than them and can actually put work into the second look.

David says same thing about Cesar not listening. Cesar interviews that he's prepared. Jeffrey says Nami is, by far, more creative and I think that's not really true. At the fitting, Cindy says Cesar's work worries her. He interviews that you have to be bold. I think she's just afraid to say what she thinks, so she's giving him all of these "worried" code words.

Dominique is worried. She thinks Calvin's skirt is too long. He interviews that Dominique is a little girl and is always either upset or happy. He doesn't like little girls. How fucking condescending. Jeffrey says Calvin won't compromise. Dominique decides that she wants to dye her trench coat black.

Cindy says she's not sure about the orange in their extra look, but Cesar doesn't listen. She's also scared by David's, though. Calvin comments on the color and gypsy quality of Cesar's look. It's very frenemy. Dominique says Calvin talks a lot of shit and, man, she talks it right back. They accuse each other of making the same looks every week. No one gets cut.

A the end of the workday, Dominique loves her look. They work until 2 a.m. and then go home. David is kind enough to instruct Dominique on some yoga poses. So generous of him to caress her body into the proper position. He interviews that he has feelings for her, which is obvious. I love them.

The day, they roll their shit down the street. That's so undignified. At the fashion area, Calvin makes fun of Dominique still stitching at this late stage and she only rolls her eyes. David hugs her to cheer her up. Stefan is there. Everyone files into the runway area and we see that miniature designer Chris Benz is the guest judge.

With a rainfall backdrop and a stock ticker, House of Nami's show begins. Dominique's is first and looks really cute. Isaac looks mesmerized. The extra look is . It's all over the place, but Calvin thinks it moves. It should move out of our lives. Jeffrey's look is and it's cute, but not really weekendy at all. Eduardo and his leather pants are and are reliably solid. Calvin's design is a men's shirt. I don't know, it looks pretty good, if not excessively like something Kate Jackson would have worn on Scarecrow and Mrs. King. He thinks he should win. Cindy says Nami is too dark and not weekendy. Thank you for agreeing.

Cindy and Jeffrey are play-fighting now that they're on different teams. This is the little Bravo commercial break fun segment. Cindy uses fondue forks to act like she's stabbing him. They still kiss at the end of the night. Cute.

Here's House of Emerald. David's inspiration is safari. Lots of props. Camera. Everything. Cesar's look is... Jesus. So much happening. A strapless structured top and wide-legged pants. Cindy's is an off-the-shoulder white dress with a belt. The turquoise swimsuit is their extra look. Also, an orange swimsuit. Iman wants to shoot it. The team hugs backstage. Cindy thinks it looks great together, but she's still scared of Cesar's over-the-top look.

Iman and Isaac greet them. He says that the guest judge is designer Chris Benz, who describes himself as the Prince of color. Iman was disappointed in the collection and says it takes a lot to make her wince, but she did with both collections. Their only cohesion was bad taste. Isaac says that Nami looked like it came from a sale rack, and Emerald looked like discount store styling. Iman says they're not ready for the runway. The "non-losing house" is Nami. Iman says one look saved Nami, and it was leaps and bounds above the others as the look of the night. She says the other members of Nami should kiss the feet of the designer. It's Dominique's look! Isaac loves the coat and the umbrella detail on the back of the dress. She gets a choice of $500 at the finale collection or immunity for the challenge. She chooses immunity, because she wants the freedom to be bold for the challenge. One more decision, Iman wants to know which designer in their house doesn't deserve to be there. She chooses Calvin with no hesitation whatsoever. Jeffrey agrees, and Calvin is pissed that they would talk about him when their team has already won. Isaac says he's difficult and everyone thinks so.

Which means that he's in the elimination. Dominique's worried about David. Isaac says the only cohesion in Emerald's collection was bad accessories and the danger therein. David says safari chic was his inspiration. He was creating an adventurer. Chris doesn't like the bag his girl is carrying. Chris is using gurgly gay talk, which I think should be avoided. You don't have to be Patti LuPone to use your diaphragm. Isaac says David shows crazy stuff every week. David thinks he's talented and deserves the chance to find himself.

Cesar gets kudos for his look and slammed for the swimsuits. They all thought that he showed no restraint with his color palette. Iman says he needs to reel in his ambition. Isaac likes the length of Cindy's look, but the model was having a hard time walking. Isaac thinks the belt and the bag are too much. In fact, they all hate the bag. Iman asks Cindy whose look was the worst, and she says tearfully that's not her job, but the judges' job. Iman says "well put." Well, I admire her for that. Isaac asks Cindy if she's shown what she has on the show thus far, and she says of course she hasn't. It hurts to always be on the losing team, but she keep climbing.

Calvin shows his stuff. They generally like it, but Isaac thinks the embellishments look cheap. Blah blah about how he had to work for everyone and made the other looks. If he's so good, asks Iman, why hasn't he won anything? Ouch. He asks to be on Cesar's team if he stays, and they say they don't want him. David says he talks down to people. Mr. Calvin Goes to Karma.

Calvin gets to stay. Cesar has to stand still. Uh-oh. David's was overwrought. Don't move. That's bad news, cause you know that Cesar is not going home. He's so cute in his bow tie. Cindy's dress was awkward, but she can stay. This is bad for David. Isaac says it's a difficult decision, and it came down to who is worse. David is out of fashion. That sucks! He says that, if the experience was a nutshell, it was a pecan. He can't break the shell and pecans are sweet. Okay, almost intelligible, that statement. He tells Dominique in the interview that he's with her, and looks forward to seeing her again.
