Till Death Do Us Part

Lady Heather gazes balefully at the Rev, and I hope we're going to have a helping of the full-on bitchery that Ms. Clarke has mastered, because it is truly a treat to watch.

Establishing shot of Treat's office. The Reverend, who now would put the most crater-faced high-school sophomore to shame, is telling Treat that his condition has happened before, and he went to a specialist in Denver, who couldn't find any allergic cause, despite extensive tests. We see that sitting to the Rev is the fabulous Melinda Clarke, who we assume is his wife. Damn, Rev. The Rev goes on that all he wants is to get rid of the hives before his sermon on Sunday. Treat says that he can prescribe treatments for the symptoms, but they have to try to figure out the cause. At that, Lady Heather gazes balefully at the Rev, and I hope we're going to have a helping of the full-on bitchery that Ms. Clarke has mastered, because it is truly a treat to watch. Treat figures out that they already know what the cause is, and the Rev stammers out that it only seems to happen when he and "the wife" are intimate. Yes, he referred to Lady Heather as "the wife." I'm surprised he's still in possession of a sex drive at all, if you take my meaning. Lady Heather snarks that on the rare occasions when they attempt to "get it on," the Rev's condition is the result, and that was the case the morning before the last service, although "it's not like the mission was accomplished." I think Lady Heather is being purposely crass here in an attempt to make the Rev uncomfortable. And I can therefore say that at least one mission has been accomplished. Treat asks Lady Heather if she's using any new health and beauty products, and the Rev cuts in that she nearly bought out the local beauty store. And she looks fabulous, Rev, so why don't you put some calamine lotion on your face and SHUT UP. He goes on that Patch suggested an elimination technique, but there's not enough time before the sermon. Treat tells them to abstain from all physical contact until the sermon, and in the meantime, he'll go over their files with Patch. Lady Heather snarks, "No rush." The Rev looks ill. Heh.

High school. We seem to be in geology lab, where the teacher is telling the class to split up into groups of four to research the rock formations found in silver mines. I remember trips like that. From college. Going to high school in Manhattan was rather different. Ephram nervously asks Amy if they can be in the same group. Bitch #1 (Kayla) is like, uh, no, but Amy shuts her down, saying they can all do it together. Justin (Wendell) asks to be the fourth, and Bitch #1 is like, UH, NO, but Amy again shuts her down. Bitch #1 gasps in frustration. She is so going to kill Bitch #2 for dropping this class. ["And while I like that Ephram is friends with Bright now, I kind of want to kill Berlanti for dropping Wendell. Yeah, so he had to film a movie with Cute Guy God -- so what? Wen-DELL! Wen-DELL! Wen-DELL!" -- Sars]
