1-13 Recap Fyvush Finkel's only damn line: "I don't go to Doyle's much."
Chapter Thirteen - Eleanor Frutt makes lots of persuasive legal arguments on behalf of Kevin Riley. As a result, the school’s lawyer, whose name is too long to reasonably type here, becomes so intimidated that she needs Steven to make her closing statement. After Lauren discovers that Harry has a past, she won’t talk to him until he makes her, and then she yells. Speaking of yelling, all the pent-up aggression that has been building between Anthony Heald and Steven explodes into a wacky firestorm of yelling. Yelling for everybody!

1-12 Recap Finkel Finkel little star: "These girls grow up so fast. And they all want us."
Chapter Twelve - Good thing Harvey has at least that line in this episode, or Key Grip would have had to abandon that running gag. Harry struggles with the strange dichotomy of a choir boy who shoots people, while not telling Lauren about it. It's the end of the affair, hopefully, for Milton and Lisa, after which Anthony Heald feels free to fire everybody who makes the mistake of coming into his office. No sign of the Exposition Fairy, and very little Marla, but we do see Ms. Souter conducting something, so that's nice.

1-11 Recap Finkel me this, Finkel me that: "You look horrible."
Chapter Eleven - When Lauren seeks a loan from her ex-boyfriend, you know wacky hijinks will ensue. And they do, when she doesn't get the loan, and loses her dream house! And speaking of wacky, Kevin wants to ask out Marilyn, but everyone gets confused and think he wants to ask out Marla. Including Marla! Oh, but will the wackiness ever stop? No, because Lisa Greer's ass accidentally calls Scott Guber on the phone, and we all know what Lisa Greer's ass has been up to! Also, the cheerleaders take their shirts off.

1-10 Recap Fyvush Finkel says, "African-American Black colored Negroes." No, really, he does.
Chapter Ten - Anthony Heald makes it his mission to get Harvey Lipschultz fired, and despite Harvey's non-stop demonstrations of how unfit he is to teach, terminating him proves to be unbelievably fraught with difficulty. Not least because Lauren deals some more with her suspicions about her own knee-jerk racism. Marilyn discovers that a student is being sexually abused by her father, and takes action with the help of a very-welcome reappearance by Heavy D as Mr. Lick. Milton and Lisa end up on Cheryl's website, which continues to have great sound effects.

1-9 Recap And Fyvush says, at the last possible moment, "You want a war, Scott? You've got one!"
Chapter Nine - A comedy of errors ensues when the faculty attempts to figure which of their students shot someone that morning on the way to school. Harry has fun with a metal detector in The Dungeon, and Kevin has plenty of advice for Milton -- or, rather, one piece of advice repeated over and over again. In the end, Harry nearly gets Lauren killed, and then takes her dancing.

1-8 Recap What was that, Fyvush? "And rain is wet." Oh.
Chapter Eight - When someone slips E into Harvey Lipschultz's coffee, he responds much like Andie McPhee, but with better acting. The drug ring that is thereby exposed causes the usual headache for Principal Steven. And speaking of drugs: Milton says his new Harvard girlfriend is like a drug, and Juan Figgis's mom gets arrested for drugs. Drugs for everybody!

1-5 Recap In which things are too sad for Fyvush Finkel to make fun of him
Chapter Five - ove, and lack thereof, is in the air. Unwanted memories of his dead wife lead to an unfortunate outburst from Harvey in front of the whole school. Various potential couples (Milton and Exposition; Harry and Lauren) take timid steps towards romance, even as Anthony Heald finally admits out loud that he's in love with Lauren. And lots and lots of lovin' comes the way of various senior guys who target girls, the younger the better, according to a complex scoring system probably outside of their mathematical grasp.

1-4 Recap In which Fyvush Finkel says, "Beedle-deedle-deedle-dee"
Chapter Four - Election shenanigans more alarming even than those in Florida when a candidate drops to her knees for her cause. Meanwhile, Harvey Lipschultz gets ready to perform in another way, not knowing his song has become a running gag passed down through every generation of students. Harry Senate can't give the unorthodox teaching methods a rest even for one lousy episode. A good student goes bad when Principal Steve won't sign off on his application for an academic award. And Key Grip struggles to keep track of the ten other plot-lines piled on top of this.

Lauren has a discussion about cannibalism that we're supposed to think is controversial, and Harry Senate takes a kid to the morgue. Marilyn and Milton do nothing at all.
