Roberta's Funeral

Frank proffers his arm to Nita so they can exit together, and Rhonda begins singing a recessional-type song. Joey looks like he wishes he were back on the drugs again. Lois is making a face that suggests she's trying to swallow her own tongue and end it all before Frank can come down the aisle. Bill is so angry, he gets up and shanghais Frank. All Nita can do is blink. Roman notices this, and is not pleased. Adaleen is also having something of a freak-out over what was supposed to be a joyous occasion -- i.e. Lois getting what was coming to her -- being wrecked by Bill. The only one who's oblivious is Rhonda, who's happily singing away.

Once Bill is outside, he begins speaking Frankinese: "How much? How much to stop humiliating and shunning my mother and make her your first wife for once and for all?" Frank protests, "I can't do that to Nita!" but $5000 and a set of roofing tiles later (with tar), he's gone ahead and done that to Nita. Bill tells him, "I'll cut the check and send the supplies just as soon as you show me the marriage certificate."

Bill heads back into the chapel, and Roman stops him to tell him, "God will have a humble people. Either we can choose to be humble, or we can be compelled." This fails to move Bill, so Roman tells him he'll have an answer to his proposal soon, i.e. once Roman can think out all his next moves.

Back at Henrickson's Home Plus, Nicki is sitting on a bench, flanked by two security guards made of asbestos. At least, I hope they're made of something with a high heat tolerance, because the glower she's giving off is impressive. Barb bluffs her way out of the situation, buys the disposal, then escorts Nicki out.

When Nicki walks out, she sees that her car's been towed for being in the 15-minute-pickup slot for far longer than 15 minutes. Barb pulls up behind her in the old station wagon and tells Nicki to get in. Nicki begins walking, so Barb pulls up and repeats herself. Nicki gets in.
