After a break, it's time for interview day! Also known as deep dark secret for our amusement extravaganza. There are introductions, and Marvin is plenty excited to be in a room full of so many hot girls. Nina yells out that she wants to know who has a boyfriend, and Jiana tells us that she's into dudes with beards, so Phil caught her eye. Jeremy takes a shine to Jourdan, who remains dull and tells us she's focused on the competition.
Speaking of Jeremy, he's first to go before the judges' panel. He tells them that he was a chubby kid with a double chin, and was bullied a lot by other kids. He ate lunch by himself every day in eighth grade, which is indeed sad times. Jeremy's mom got him into swimming and water polo, the pounds were shed, and now he's got some beefy muscles. The judges see some potential in him, and Rob gives him some tips for how to make his body look better on film. Once Jeremy's gone, Tyra admits that if she had a daughter, she'd want her to date Jeremy. Yes, I'm sure she wants that for her "daughter" alrighty. I bet Tyra is a mad devirginizer herself when the circumstance presents itself. We then meet Adam, who gets told by some of the ladies that he looks way older than 22. I guess for men that's not a bad thing? Adam was doing NFL tryouts last year, but gave it up because of his newfound passion for modeling. In the big group, Bianca announces that she's totally single, and then Chris H. goes and plants a kiss on some poor girl. At least he didn't punch her in the vagina! Spoiler alert!
All of this activity is making Alexandra almost have a heart attack, and she gets superoverexcited in front of the judges before starting to cry as she talks about her family. Alexandra's mom had breast cancer recently, and her dad lost his business when the economy crashed. She wants a modeling career not just for herself, but for her family. Johnny likes Alexandra's body and attitude in her photo, and the other judges concur. Alexandra's stomach is so flat and perfect that it's giving me self-esteem issues. After she leaves, Kelly says that sob stories are fine and all, but they shouldn't get in the way of finding a good model. She does admit, however, that Alexandra takes a nice photo.
Ronald is , and opens by saying that he looked at the one other African-American guy in the finals and wonders where his competition is. Tyra points out to him that his competition is not just the black guys. He's not trying to be America's Top African-American Semi-finalist, after all. Ronald says that he was trained to do high fashion and runway by his manager DJ Stokes, and Kelly cracks up so hard that she has to put a stack of papers over her face. Oh, Ronald. So pretty but so misguided. And now I want you guys to look up "Debonaire Models" on Facebook and scroll down for pictures of Ronald being high fashion in a swamp.
