The roommates are getting ready for their dress rehearsal. During a break, Keri and Lara walk outside the tent and discuss whether they should do "Bloody Mary." Lara says that they all need to talk about it. The funniest part is that Keri is in full ghoul makeup, smoking a cigarette. Lara says that some of the roommates have told her that CJP made the decision to cut it on her own, which isn't fair. Later, Lara talks to the group, and says that she doesn't want to throw out "Bloody Mary." In an interview, Keri says that she knew they would have to do "Bloody Mary" because they were asked to do three stories. Lara thinks that doing the same skit twice will disappoint the customers. In an interview, Chris says that CJP's decision was "a cop-out and complete bullshit." Chris! Having an opinion! Being in an episode! Crazy. CJP bullshits that she wanted them to concentrate their energy on two skits, but it's still "totally doable" to do three. I don't know how, but I blame Kyle for this whole thing.
Kyle talks to Lara outside. Kyle explains that everyone is passing the buck about Keri's skit, because none of them is comfortable being in it. Suddenly, Keri is there, too. Lara says that they all thought the skit was really good, but that it needed to be shorter, and that there were too many long monologues. Keri asks what they are talking about, and Kyle explains. In an interview, Kyle says that he never told Keri how he felt about her skit, because he felt "a little bit of vindictiveness," because of "how standoffish she was during the writing." And dude was an English major at Princeton? I don't even understand what he's saying. Somewhere, Sars weeps. Kyle talks about how they decided not to do it. Lara asks whose decision it was, and Kyle admits that it was mostly CJP's, not getting into how he factored into that decision, because he's a pussy. Lara doesn't think it's fair that one person made the decision. Keri says she gets the feeling that CJP doesn't like that Keri wrote the script.
Keri talks to CJP about it. CJP lies that she didn't like Keri's script at first, but now she does. So she's cutting it...why, exactly? Keri says she feels like CJP has been against the script the whole time. In an interview, Keri says that she wishes CJP had been honest with her from the start, and that CJP could have been tactful instead of lying. CJP spins some more bullshit. CJP admits that she made the wrong choice in pulling it, and thanks Keri for being so understanding throughout.
Kyle tells CJP that they will be performing "Bloody Mary" in fourteen hours, and wonders if it will be adequate. CJP cracks up over how ridiculous it is. God, these two are annoying. I love how Kyle plants all these doubts in CJP's mind and then lets her take the fall for pulling Keri's skit. Like he didn't basically tell her to do that, and she's so in love with him that she just did it. Kyle lists off all of the things they need to do to make it work. CJP says that it won't take long to figure out, and Kyle says that he's glad he's not in it. So are we, Kyle. So are we.
The roommates deliver props and costumes to the tent. In an interview, Theo says that he and Chris did their job and worked together well on the backdrops and props. Tonya arrives and apologizes for being late. CJP assures her that she's not late. Tonya apologizes further for appearing to be mad at her roommates when she's actually just nervous about going to the doctor. Tonya hugs CJP, who accepts the apology. In an interview, CJP says that she has a "sisterly relationship" with Tonya where they can bicker and fight and then be fine a few hours later. Tonya explains that she has to go back to the doctor first thing in the morning, so it won't affect their performance schedule.
The roommates set up the stage and put on makeup and costumes. Keri says that the kids in the audience are going to look at her and start crying, and then Kyle will come out, and they will shit themselves. I guess I should mention that Kyle is wearing the scary red mask they bought in New England, but it was probably funnier when you imagined Kyle just walking out in his Princeton t-shirt with his giant square head, and that causing the kids to shit themselves.
The audience members enter the tent and sit down. In an interview, Kyle says that he's excited about the audience, and that he's excited to see which of his roommates thrive on the atmosphere. Whatever that means. The first skit -- "The Midnight Ghost" -- begins with Keri reading a story about a little boy, played by Theo. Keri voice-overs that she's having a good time. In an interview, Aneesa says that she underestimated the importance of costumes and makeup. The makeup is pretty good, for an amateur production. The little kids in the audience seem kind of scared, but not in a bad way. In an interview, Kyle says that this skit is everyone's favorite, because it works. Some kids in the audience cry, but others seem to be enjoying it.
The skit -- "The Cough" -- begins. Apparently, Theo is the narrator. Chris plays a boy who couldn't stop coughing, and Kyle plays his "drunken, abusive stepfather." Theo narrates by shouting his lines at the top of his lungs, which is annoying. Also, is this appropriate for the four- and five-year-olds in the audience? Kyle slams the table and swears. Inappropriate! Theo says that as long as the kids are enjoying themselves, he's happy. But they were going to do this one twice instead of Keri's skit?
CJP is the narrator for "Bloody Mary," which appears to be a twist on that urban legend about how if you look in the mirror and say "bloody Mary" thirteen times, she will appear. In an interview, Tonya says that Keri deserved to have her skit in the show because it was a great story. Whatever happened to the one about the Irish woman and the hanging? I guess Theo nixed that one. CJP voice-overs that there is a clear division between Keri and Kyle now, and a strong friendship between CJP and Kyle. Kyle voice-overs that he likes CJP more than he likes Keri. Really? Because I didn't get that yet. After the performances, CJP gives her roommates praise for their work. Keri voice-overs that CJP and Kyle can be friends and make out and she doesn't care. I do think Keri is jealous, not because she wants to be with Kyle any more, but just because she was closest to Kyle and CJP, and now they are both blowing her off to be with each other. That would be annoying. Plus, they both suck. Which is also annoying.
week: There was no preview, but I saw a commercial during Road Rules that said the episode would be about Aneesa's love life. So you know at least there will be lesbian drama.
