Mary-Ellis Bunim: Why wasn't there a "Previously On" segment this week?
Jonathan Murray: Well, because Kevin has had this girlfriend for, like, a month, but we've never shown her before. And Lori talks about her singing group all the time, but we've never shown that either. So we didn't have any previously shown footage to use.
Bunim: Like that's stopped us before. Just use entirely new footage and tell people it was shown previously. They'll just think it's an episode they missed.
Murray: So true. Viewers are idiots.
Bunim: You're learning, pet.
At the Chelsea Grill, Kevin and Beth hang out and hug and kiss. In an interview, Kevin says he likes Beth a lot, but he's leaving soon. The soundtrack says, "This cannot be happening..." as we see Lori watching Kevin and Beth. In an interview, Lori says that she remembers when she was like that with her boyfriends. Okay, she might be a little jealous. Lori leaves the bar and walks home alone. Lori and Quarrel talk in their bedroom. Lori whispers that Kevin and his girlfriend were all over each other. Quarrel gasps, and they so edited that in from a different part of the conversation, because why would Quarrel gasp at that? Lori says that Kevin and Beth look like they're related. Quarrel is grossed out. In an interview, Lori says that Kevin told her he didn't want Lori because she's like his sister. And then he goes out with a girl who really looks like his sister. Lori tells Quarrel that Beth isn't that cute. Quarrel says that neither is Kevin. Meow!
Kevin walks down the street with Lori and Rachel. Lori says that the guys in the house got a bunch of "fantasy romances," and she thought the girls would get the same thing. She thought it would be like Sex and the City. Rachel agrees, like her mom would ever let her watch that show. Kevin says that he doesn't know what he's going to do about his relationship with Beth, because he's gotten used to playing the field, and he doesn't want to change that now. In an interview, Kevin says that his parents' divorce made him a little leery of settling down. Kevin tells Lori that relationships are a hassle. Lori says it doesn't have to be that way. Kevin, if it's a hassle, then you're either not with the right woman, or you're not ready to settle down, or both. In an interview, Lori says that Kevin has been through a lot in life, so it makes sense that he doesn't want to be tied down now.
