I feel like I should opine further on the revolting elements of torture and control, but I don't have it in me. That's what this season has been about and I'm done hitting the same note. I hear you. I even agree with you. I'm just tired of wearing my ranty pants. Despite my distaste for it, I don't think the writers are blind to it. I think they meant to explore these nasty corners this season. I think they very much want us recoiling from how sick the Salvatore's treatment of Elena has been. This is senior year. Graduation is around the corner. Growing up is messy and no one gets out unblemished. "She's Come Undone" is a gripping episode that isn't afraid to get its hands dirty. Thank goodness that at least Katherine knows how to tidy up after.
