Episode Report Card Cindy McLennan: A- | 98 USERS: A YOU GRADE IT PANdemonium

Despite the glaring retcons, I'm giving "Quiet a Common Fairy" an A-, because I so enjoyed it. And, if I forget (or accept) those retcons, I like so much about it. I even like the Regina flashbacks. She's not a mustache twirler in it. She did something selfish, and for the wrong reasons (fear, and the desire to hold onto her anger), but it wasn't a terrible thing on its face (refusing to go into a pub and meet a guy), yet it had drastic consequences for Tink, for Robin, and for Regina herself. I am digging the layers, here. Some fans are upset that Robin and Regina would have been each other's true loves, but I don't think the show is saying at all (in fact I think there were lines in this episode to the contrary) that if you lose your true love, you can never love again.
I'll be back soon with coverage of "Nasty Habits." In the meantime, please join us on the boards, where we're crushing Regina's heart with our bare hands.
