Episode Report Card Sara M: B | Grade It Now! YOU GRADE IT The Lost Art of Letter-Writing

By Sara M | Season 20 | Episode 9 | Aired on 04.15.2010

In the woods, Sandra and Courtney do absolutely no scheming whatsoever. BOOO. Instead, they talk about how screwed they are now and how they probably deserve this after the way they dominated their seasons. Fistbump! "This is what we get for being bitches!" Sandra says. It is such a terrible shame that one of them is going home tonight because the Survivor producers gave the idol clue to Parvati instead of them. Sandra interviews that "it's inevitable" that either she or Courtney is going home tonight, and she's sad about this because she and Courtney go together like rice and beans. Why won't they try to do something to keep them both in the game? Like target Jerri? Sigh.

Parvati, Danielle, and Li'l Russell have brief chat and decide to get rid of Courtney. Li'l Russell says he doesn't trust Courtney or Sandra, but thinks Courtney is more likely to flip. Um, they're both likely to flip. Courtney talks to Parvati, who says she'd rather keep her in the game than Sandra. Courtney says that in her defense with her in the tribe, they're more likely to get Amanda to swing over to their side come the merge. But she won't say anything negative about Sandra because she doesn't want to "throw [her] under the bus." She says she's going to vote for Jerri tonight and "whatever happens, happens." Parvati thinks for a second, then says that if Courtney promises that she'll stick with her after the merge, she'll try to get her alliance to vote for Sandra tonight. That's smart because Parvati is much more likely to gain an ally in Courtney than Sandra, and she knows it. She suggests saving Courtney over Sandra to Li'l Russell, Danielle, and Jerri at their alliance beach meeting, where Li'l Russell whips out his idol. He just can't wait to show it to everyone, huh? Whereas Parvati only told one other person about hers, and that was for strategic reasons. And that is why Parvati won this game and Li'l Russell did not. Before Danielle can do something stupid like say "oh, Parvati gave you her idol?" Parvati says "THEY GAVE HIM THEIR IDOL!" Danielle and Jerri laugh long and hard at the Heroes' stupidity, then Parvati uses that to segue into her suggestion to keep Courtney, saying she thinks they can trust her more than Sandra. Li'l Russell disagrees, but isn't able to make his argument for Courtney without Danielle talking over him and neither one of them will shut up. Jerri speaks up when they're finished, saying she agrees that Courtney is more likely to flip to the Heroes. Danielle says Sandra would be harder to beat if she made it to the end than Courtney. Jerri has no idea what's going on but will clearly vote however she's told.
