Clip package on how the celebrities' first impressions have changed. Lessons learned: it's way harder than anyone thought. People are different than originally thought -- Tom DeLay likes rhinestones and Chuck is a teddy bear. Even though they are performers, the stars still got terrified when they walked out on the stage.
After the package, Tom DeLay announces that he won't be continuing in the competition, because he just isn't able to practice and that's not fair to him and to Cheryl. The crowd actually sounds sad. I guess I'm not in his demographic. Tom Bergeron asks DeLay to, if he's up to it, come back for the finale and do the dance he would have done next week, the Texas Two Step.
Tom Bergeron announces that they'll still be eliminating a couple this week, and it's time to find out some more results. Mya and Natalie are both safe, but Joanna and Derek are in jeopardy. Derek makes the same face that Jenny Slate made when she dropped the f-bomb on live television last week.
And after the break, we get to find out if any of the four remaining men are in jeopardy. So that would be Donny, Louie, Aaron, and Mark. Donny, Louie, and Mark are safe. Aaron and Karina are in jeopardy. Aaron looks really surprised. God, I want him to go home. I really can't stand that little nerd.
Backstage, Melissa and Kelly talk to Samantha. Kelly reveals what was up with her kiss with Louis at the end of their routine. It seems that they dared each other to kiss, and Kelly knew that if she didn't kiss him, he would kiss her, so she took control. And the Melissa talks boring talk about being nervous.
The Design a Dance competition continues. So far we know that it's a Paso Doble to "Eye of the Tiger" and Tom reveals that the returning celebrity will be Sabrina Bryan. Wow, I totally thought it would be Gilles or someone more recent. Tom reminds us that Sabrina was eliminated kind of early; in fact, she was eliminated only two weeks after getting a perfect score. So I'm glad that she gets to come back and try again. I do wonder if the public will vote Mark for her partner, since they were dating and everything, and may have had a bad breakup. Guess we'll find out next week.
The big dance number this week features Jabbawockeez. They do an homage to Gene Kelly's "Singin' in the Rain" number that features faux tap dancing and people floating down from the ceiling on harnesses and umbrellas. Near the end, two dancers come out in different-colored suits and at the end, they take off their masks and reveal that they are Lacey and Dmitry. That was a really cool idea, but the execution seems like it could have had more wow factor. I guess after the big Lion King number, my expectations are higher.
