Episode Report Card Kim: C | Grade It Now! YOU GRADE IT You're Not Alone

By Kim | Season 15 | Episode 4 | Aired on 10.02.2012

Clip package about how the pros are under more pressure than ever this season, because the level of competition is so high. They admit that Drew being in the bottom two woke everyone up, because he won his season. Multiple pros (Tony, Louis, Val) claim that their partners are able to handle professional choreography. It's kind of interesting to hear from the pro side; we normally don't get much beyond platitudes from them.

The Macy's Stars of Dance routine is a futuristic dance battle. That's the best kind of battle, isn't it? It wasn't so much a battle as a choreographed race to the top of the stairs, though. Lame.

The troupe has returned to perform an homage to some past iconic dances, including a corker of a rehash of Helio's banana suit dance featuring Lacey Schwimmer and her brother Benji.

More results! I'm enjoying Derek having a younger partner this year; for the first time, he's coming across as an old man, since he can't keep up with Shawn. I love when they show Bruno's candid reactions to the routines. While Bristol was dancing, he yelled out, "Mess!" And then Bristol got her persecution complex on while declaring that she'll never get a score above a 6. I mean, MAYBE she meant it's because she's not a good dancer, but knowing her and her history, I'm pretty sure she meant that the judges have it in for her. When in reality, she's just not a good dancer. Kirstie seems plagued by self-doubt, STILL. The more I see of Kelly, the more I like her personality. She seems pretty down to earth. She's even making me like Val.

Shawn, Bristol (!), and Kirstie (!) are safe. Kelly is in jeopardy. Man, that is some bullshit. I guess I need to start voting if I'm going to care.

Katherine Jenkins is back to sing with Placido Domingo. Val and Anna are out to dance while they sing. I always wonder how they decide which pros get to dance during the performances. This one seemed particularly random.

More results. Helio didn't understand what in the heck Carrie Ann told him during judging. Don't worry, dude. No one did. Melissa was freaked out and Tony couldn't believe that Carrie Ann compliments his choreography. Gilles couldn't say the word cleavage, even though he was displaying a LOT of it. Karina was squeaking with excitement over how well Apolo dances. Man, this is a powerhouse group. Are they all safe? Well, Melissa, Gilles, and Apolo are safe. Helio and Chelsie are in jeopardy.

The final results are about to be revealed, and the three couples in jeopardy are Joey and Kym, Kelly and Val, and Helio and Chelsie. But Kelly and Val are safe! So that means that Joey and Kym and Helio and Chelsie are the for real bottom two. Tom has time to talk to each couple. He asks Helio if he would do anything different if he could, and Helio says that they did everything they could. Joey says that "what's great about me" is that he always has fun. Well, I'm glad Joey knows what's great about himself. That was a weird way to answer. Anyway, who's going home? Joey and Kym. Eh. Joey was never going to dance as well as a Gilles or an Apolo or an Emmitt. Or a Drew.
