Episode Report Card Strega: C | Grade It Now! YOU GRADE IT Status Quo Vadis

By Strega | Season 4 | Episode 13 | Aired on 03.26.2002

Sean and Meghan have a confrontation in the kitchen. And for a while they start each sentence with "Newsflash," which gets tiresome very, very quickly. I think it was supposed to go on for so long that it would go from funny to annoying to even funnier, but it wasn't very funny to begin with so that premise was flawed. Anyway, Sean says that Clancy likes his shoe covers; Meghan says that Clancy is an idiot and that Rocco invited Meghan to see his band. Sean says that if she wants to be with Rocco, that's fine. Megan says Sean can go be with his "coffee girl," and Sean says that's a good idea. "At least one of us has good ideas," Meghan snaps. Sean and Meghan separate and go stand by their...um, dates? Who look a bit awkward, and justifiably so.

Adam finds Felicity, still by the munchies. He asks if she's okay, and she says that she is. Then he says that he submitted their model, but that after looking at the other entries he doesn't think that they have a chance at winning. He asks again if she's okay, and except for her hair she looks fine, so why does he keep asking that? Adam gives me the creeps. He asks if she'd like a drink, and they head off to the palatial bathroom. I think everyone goes in pairs to get drinks because if you go by yourself, you might get lost and never find your way out. Because, see, the bathroom? It's large.

Zoe and Noel are sitting in a relatively quiet room, and Zoe admits that she looked over the catalog ideas and they were good. She finally apologizes for being unprofessional, and explains, "When you sat across the room from me, I don't know...I couldn't help it." It turns out that she was mad because, at the meeting, Noel sat next to Jessica instead of sitting by her. Noel doesn't make the obvious excuse that he couldn't tell the interchangeable perky blondes apart. Instead, he first plays dumb, and then confesses, "The only reason that I didn't sit next to you is because I was nervous." Zoe wonders what he thought would happen, and Noel also doesn't say, "Oh, I thought maybe you'd try to embarrass me in front of my new co-workers." Which reminds me of the last TWoP conference, when Aaron sat next to Jessica because he was nervous about sitting near Sars and her trained attack owl, or at least that's what he claimed later, but that's another story for another time. I'm just trying to delay the moment when I have to admit that Noel tells Zoe, predictably and painfully, that maybe he was afraid of "this," and leans over to kiss Zoe. Ew. Zoe says that wasn't very professional, and Noel asks if that's a problem. Zoe says, "Yeah," and then they smooch some more.
