By Maggie | Season 3 | Episode 2 | Aired on 10.10.2000

Back at Epstein Bar, Meghan mentions Jacob Perlmutter and decides that Knoll's situation is indeed serious and that they should do something.

Elena and a shirtless Tracy are wrestling around on her bed. They stop fooling around, and Elena asks him to tell her about God and why He wants them to stop. Tracy complains that they've already had the conversation many times in the past. Elena wants to know how Tracy knows there is a God. He says he knows because he's able to walk away and not give in to temptation. Tracy slams out of the room, and Elena flops back on the bed and says, "Well, I need a sign."

Docuventary clip: Elena is in a bodega, and Sean asks her if she's considering breaking up with Tracy. She says that he is too good for her, but she can't break up with him because his smile breaks her heart. Sean asks if she'd cheat on him, and Elena replies, "As if I'd answer that question on videotape." Um, why are you even having this discussion on videotape?

Docuventary clip: Julie is sitting outside at a table with a couple of pieces of pizza and a Pepsi, and Sean asks her what it is like to live with Elena. Julie complains that Elena keeps questioning her about her birth father. Julie looks very shifty as she tells Sean that she was tested to be an organ donor, and she wasn't a match. She also reiterates that she's happy she was able to spend some time getting to know him. The whole scene is rather suspicious. Maybe Julie was a match and she refused the operation, or maybe she didn't even get tested. I don't know, and I frankly don't care. However, it was a good thing that Julie's birth father didn't need a brain transplant because Julie had her head x-rayed and they found nothing.

At Dean & Deluca, Ben breaks the news to Felicity that his father called. It seems that he's in town and he wants to see Ben. Felicity thinks it could be a "good thing," and Ben remarks that with her "everything is always a possibility of something good," however, he doesn't think it applies to his father.

Julie and Elena are walking down a hall and babbling shrilly to each other. As they reach the elevator, their neighbour, Towel Boy, is walking out of it. They all say hey, and Elena lets the elevator door hit her a few times while Towel Boy makes small talk. He invites them to come out with him and his buddies. Elena begs off, saying that she has to study. TB starts to walk away then he turns back and stops the door from closing and asks Elena if she has a boyfriend. Elena says, "No." Julie turns and gapes at her, and TB says, "Great," then he walks away. Just before the elevator door closes, we see Elena grabbing her face with her hands and saying, "I can't believe I said that. Omigod." Elena, if you're looking for a sign from God, I doubt you'll find it under a towel. But you never know, they say God is in the details.
