Ramsay tells the lot of them to fuck off after telling the women to get ready to plead for their lives, because all three of them could be going home. In the dorm, Jennifer and Elizabeth commiserate about Elise, who is the kind of person who will, according to Jennifer, "throw you under the bus, drive over you and back up three times."
Elise has gone over to tell the Blue Team for some reason how pissed she is and how she doesn't deserve to go home. "Don't stress too hard," says Tommy, looking bored. "Are you fucking kidding me?" she snaps. Making friends on Blue Team!
The chefs file back into Hell's Kitchen, where Blue Team members step forward for their black jackets. Tommy gets special praise for his "night of redemption."
Then the Red Team steps forward and we're immediately into a five-minute argument between Elise and Jennifer about leadership and communication and who doesn't respect whom and who worked her ass off for her teammates. Elizabeth stands there, not saying a word, looking like she's being embarrassed by her parents fighting in public. Blue Team doesn't even seem to be enjoying this as much as you'd think they would, but I can only imagine what it's like for them. We get the Everyone Sucks But Elise show for just an hour or two each week while they've been living it twenty-four hours a day for a while now. "This is exactly what happens all day," Elizabeth tells Ramsay, who eventually tells the Bickersons to shut up.
Then he asks Elizabeth why she should stay. She says she's a great cook, and it's all she thinks about. Elise shakes her head. She also wants to be here to the end and cook her ass off against great chefs. Jennifer? She wants to keep competing against the best, but then she points to the clowns on Blue Team. Elise says to cook at BLT you have to be more than just a great chef; you also have to be a leader. Eyeroll from Jennifer.
Ramsay says it's a difficult decision, and before we go to commercial, we see Will clutch Paul's arm for some reason.
When we come back, he says, "My decision is...Jennifer." She takes off her jacket and steps forward. He tells her this was her worst service and he doesn't know what happened tonight. "Chef, I can do it, I'm telling you," she says. "And that is why I believe in you," he says, and he hands her a black jacket. She grabs that jacket to applause from the Blue Team, and she makes herself scarce like she's worried Ramsay might still change his mind.
