Dr. Archibald Hopper's Office: Emma asks about Henry's therapy and seeming fairy-tales-are-real fixation. Archie demurs. He shouldn't discuss this. He does caution Emma that she needs to take care not to disparage Henry's "belief system" to him. He's using the fairy tales to express complex emotions. When Emma asks what the deal is with Henry and Regina, Archie says that Regina is complicated, and her attempts to draw Henry closer always backfire. He then hands her Henry's patient file and lets her leave with it.
HIPAA: "That is such a no-no."
Writers: "Silence. You have no power here!"
Once Emma is gone, Archie calls Regina and tells her Emma took the file. "How did you know she was going to come here?" Regina: "Because I'm the one who gave her the idea." Tricksy! False! Commercial.
The Sheriff shows up at Emma's room as she's reading through Henry's file. He says Archie claims Emma stole Archie's file. Emma brings him right in and gives him the file. The Sheriff arrests her. Emma: "You know I'm being set up, don't you?" The Sheriff asks who's behind the set-up. We cut to...
Street: Regina walks down the street to the school, where Mary is teaching a lesson outside. Remember the teachers who would do that? They were always the ones who really liked kids. Regina pulls Henry out of class for a moment, and tells him Emma stole files from Dr. Hopper, and that she's a con woman who is trying to learn about them, to take advantage of them. When she says she's sorry, Henry replies, "No, you're not." Regina blathers on about how she's trying to protect him. Henry dismisses her and runs back to his class.
Sheriff's Office: Emma insists that Regina put Archie up to lying about the file. The Sheriff acknowledges Regina is intimidating, but says he doubts she'd go as far as framing Emma. When he mentions Regina has her hands in everything in town, Emma asks: "Including the Police Force?" Just then, Henry and Mary enter. Henry pronounces Emma a genius. He wrongly figures she stole the file to gather intel for Operation Cobra. The Sheriff says he's lost, but Henry tells him it's a "need to know" situation. Ms. Blanchard isn't just along for the ride. She's there to bail Emma out. Emma holds up her wrists to the Sheriff. "If you could uncuff me, I have something else to do." We cut to the...
Mayoral Manse: Regina's office has the perfect wallpaper for an Evil Queen who exiled herself and everyone else from the Enchanted Forest. Someone in on the boards identified it as Cole & Sons' "Woods," a 1959 pattern by Michael Clark. Check it out! I don't get to look at it long enough though, because Regina and I are surprised by the sound of a chain saw. Emma's taking it to the Red Delicious "Honeycrisp" apple tree. Regina rushes out screaming, "What the hell are you doing?" Emma shuts off the saw and throws it to the ground. "Picking apples." She's already cut off a large bough. I sort of love her. When Regina says Emma is out of her mind, Emma says, "No, you are if you think a shoddy frame job's enough to scare me off. You're going to have to do better than that. Come after me one more time, and I'm coming back for the rest of this tree, because sister, you have no idea what I'm capable of." She turns her back on Regina and as she's walking away, says, "Your move."
