Neverland. Telescope in hand, Peter is standing in front of the two cages his Lost Boys have hoisted up above ground. He's watching Team Operation Cobra Rescue (minus Regina) trek through the jungle. "Look at them go. So determined to find their missing friend." Felix asks what they should do with Neal. Peter tells him to take Neal to the Echo Cave. "The game is about to get interesting." Commercial.
We open on Rumpy sitting with Belle. She encourages him to come home to Storybrooke where they can start a new family of their own. "That's what I want, with you." Rumpy reminds her she can't want anything, since she's imaginary. Belle insists she's really there. She caresses his cheek and invites him to take her hand, believe in their love and then they can return. Offering her hand, she asks him to take it and hold onto her. Before he can act, Belle begins to choke. Regina is the one doing the throttling. She knows that's not Belle. Rumpy is alarmed, but since he doesn't take serious action to stop Regina and save "Belle," I think he has a gut feeling of what's going on. He hasn't been talking to Belle, or even Imaginary Belle. He's been talking to Pan's shadow, appearing as Belle. Once "Belle" falls to the ground, the shadow rises and flies off. We cut to the...
Jungle. Walking along with Snow, Emma confesses she kissed Hook. Snow's clearly taken aback, but she keeps her cool as best she can. "Oh, well, why?" Emma stammers that she doesn't know. "It's been a while? I was feeling good? I don't know." Snow smiles and keeps her voice bright. "Did it mean anything?" Emma says, "It was just a kiss." Snow says, "I'm sure Neal will understand." At least half the audience screams, "Screw Neal, and screw you too, Snow." I don't say that last part, because remember, I've already decided Snow has no true clue about Emma's past with Neal. Emma's expression is all Ugh. She says, "...if he's still alive." Snow decides Emma doesn't want to open herself up to the hope that he's alive, but she says Emma should. Emma and the rest of us ask, "Why?" Snow says it's because Emma deserves a happy ending. She sure does, but is Neal it? Snow says, "Happy endings always start with hope." Well here you go, Snow: I hope that Emma's happy ending proves worthy of her. We flash back to the...
Enchanted Past. Ariel thinks this thing with Eric is all a mistake. She says she can't make Eric choose -- between his dream of world travel, I guess, and life with a mermaid. Snow says Ariel is afraid of his choice. Ariel says nothing about this is easy. Snow says, "Take my advice and do the hard thing." She counsels Ariel to be honest. Then at least she'll know she tried. Ariel says she needs time to think. Snow says she has three hours, and Snow will be there if Ariel needs her. We cut to the...
